I never understood when I tried to before. sweatdrop My brain works funny. Of course I think my best friend is otherkin. She burst into random fits of demonic/werewolvic/vapiric states...weird... I hope you are joking... sweatdrop Just because someone bursts like that doesn't mean they are otherkin. And otherkin don't burst into fits...(well most of the time.) For 3 straight years? An act can't last that long. Unless she's mentally ill and needs help...I'll have to look into that... wink Yeah she isn't NEAR as weird with random people...or most of her other friends...except the ones who are AS weird...My friends are crazy...

I feel more or less attached to the thought of fairies. Is it possible that I could've been a fairy in my past life? Or something that was close to fairies?

"otherkin" are hybrid souls and the methods for souls to be come a hybrid is differant but there is usualy three ways to get a hybrid soul.
1) Your soul was a astral(or a differant realm) neing and mated with a human soul then was put into a physical body.
2)You are reincarnated as a human when you were another kin.
3)One of your parents are an otherkin.

I'm not 100% convinced that having past-life memories is a requirement for being otherkin, and certainly not that it's the sole cause of 'kin-ness. I think there are several factors that come together as a cause for 'kin-ness, and genetics may even be one of them.

Well, concerning otherkin, as already stated... it's an umbrella term for people that don't believe they are spiritually human. Or, something along those lines.
As for identifying as an otherkin... I only did after finding the term, but to me I still do just think I'm dragon. Before I found the community, I didn't know the term...

I will admit I don't know about Dad though. I want to ask... but then it's another topic as to how in the world you lead up to a question like that.

Well a lot of the time, if your lover from a past life did not get reincarnated, they will folow you around in spirit form. Like me, I was an Elf in one life and a Fae in another. I now have two spirits following me
