personally im a Kataang fan, BUT!!!! i am open to the idea of Zutara. I mean, she would be pretty good with Zuko, because she has that calming nature and sweetness that Zuko needs in a companion. I just dont think it would work too well b/c they're both stubborn, and would probably butt heads all the time, and then theres the fact that hes from the fire nation.. they killed her mother... etc.. u get my point. But im not sayin it cant happen, they would make a cute couple i guess.. u never know blaugh

potatosarecool I'm geting sick of hearing about Kataang (Katara/Aang) and anyone as Zutara (Zuko/Katara) obsessed as me, come here and ramble about it's greatness!!!!!! ZUTARA ROCKS! I mean it's very good. My love for Zutara burns with the fire of 1,000 suns.

yeah i also like the idea of Zatara. i really think they look hot together. I think fire and water are a better combination that air and water, there is more passion in water/fire.

Ok.... Although I actually ship the pairing that you all hate (or disapprove of) I have an open mind. What I really want to know is how it would work. How do they get together (I don't want any of that 'they're so cute together!' or 'fire and ice are so cute together!' stuff).
I am NOT bashing this pairing.... I just want to know more about it ^^ (the blue spirit thing I can believe)
Also, I think the prime reason I believe in kataang (god those combo words are wierd) is that eppy with the fourtune teller. In the end, Katara was looking at Aang differently after Sokka mentioned what a powerful bender Aang was/will be.

distorted_muse Katara for sure does not like Zuko...she told him to "go jump in a river" and she almost killed him during that fight in the North Pole (or was it the South Pole I forget). However she does seem to go for those mysterious bad boy types i.e. Jet and I can totally seeing her falling for the Blue Spirit without even realizing that its Zuko. If Naruto has taught me anything its that chicks dig ninjas. ninja What Naruto has taught me is....the guy who expresses his feelings for a girl SOONER, gets the girl. (And I already believe Sasuke will NEVER get Sakura. Rock Lee's a dork, but I think he'd be good for Sakura, who just now got interesting....*huggles Naruto doll in dark corner* I WUV NARUTO!!!!!!!!! 4laugh ) I think it's definetly Zuko and Katara, because they do seem perfect together. Katara is nurturing and hot tempered, and Zuko is.....well, mysterious and a bad boy...(*huggles Zuko doll in corner that has flaming hands* I WUV ZUKO!!!!!!!!!!!!!) 3nodding I have lots of anime dolls......(meaning I have alot of 'crushes' in anime....) ( eek I can't believe I found someone else who thought the 'Katara falling in love with the blue demon' thing too! whee KEWL!)

This is true, and in a sense that alone makes it plausable.... I guess.
Whatever though ^^; I figured out a way myself that seems even more plausible now than it did back when I made that initial post ^^

Well, I'll say why I'm not fond of Kataang first. For one thing, it just seems like to much of a sister/brother relationship, which is good to have a little of, but it shouldn't form an dating relationship. Katara treats him like a little brother, and you're not going to marry you're sibling, are you? And not saying you can never care that way for a family member, but when you live with someone, like a sibling, all your lif,. it creates a different bond. Second, it's too much like a 12-year-old boy with his first crush. Katara never really looks at him that way, and he'll likely get over his crush as he gets older. And I also look at it for the favor of the show. If they ever started "dating," Sokka would be pretty much pushed off of the show, and the "Golden Trio" would soon be, "Aang and Katara are dating and there's a wierd guy with a boomerang." And how many shows have you seen where there's the main charactor, his/hers friend of the same gender, and a friend of the oposite gender? Avatars done a fine job of not making that cliche, but in all the shows like I've mentioned before, in how many does the main charactor end up with his oposite gender friend? It would just be TOO cliche. And... I'm sorry, you wanted to know why Zutara was a good couple, didn't you? I promise I'll write it tomarow, right now I need some sleep.

I guess I like the cliche a little too much ^^; But hey, I'm starting to let my fangirl inside wander, and soon I'll be shipping something totally off the wall ^^

Go to the link i posted above, read atleast up to chapter 5 of any of the fanfics located at the bottom and you'll see why. Secondly, Katara does tend to fall for guys who have... light-weight good intentions but is 'the evil guy' (Jet, Zuko) secondly, i think that Katara and Zuko's histories, would cause the two to fall in love most romanticly... I.E. Zuko's mother died, Zuko was a good hearted kid, and nothing like the obsessed fire prince he is now. That side is still inside just deep inside. Katara would fall in love with Zuko by accident, too much bad blood between them for it to be purposely, and then Theres Zuko taking Kataras necklace, Katara has always been a goodhearted person, and could not be cruel to Zuko no matter how hard she tried, so eventually, Zuko would tolerate her like he tolerates his uncles unfire-nation-ness, and slowly find himself falling in love with her, and Vice versa. Putting the whole 'Ice-fire' pairing being cute thing It also adds to the whole forbidden love thing, which makes it even more romantic(Romeo & Juliet) And even though Zuko calls the water tribe duo peasants, if Kataras village hadn't been destroyed, it would be as big and great as the north pole, making her a princess, and Zuko being a prince... wow, Disney in neckelodeon >.> <.< >.< ^w^
