Kanakyo obsession_that_is_rock sabbath bloody sabbath---its so true "...nobody will ever let you know when you ask the reasons why they just tell you that youre on your own fill your head all full of lies..." If you've ever been lied to by a friend then you know how it feels...and it hurts. I never truely undrestood this song until I experienced it for myself. Wow, I forgot. That sums up my middle school years completely. stressed Ahh yes.. the backstabbing years of Middle School drama..hah. Shitty.

If you've ever been lied to by a friend then you know how it feels...and it hurts. I never truely undrestood this song until I experienced it for myself. Wow, I forgot. That sums up my middle school years completely. stressed Ahh yes.. the backstabbing years of Middle School drama..hah. Shitty. I'm just glad it was over two years ago. Now I have a ton of friends at my new school (for the "smart" but really for the psychotic). mrgreen

Here at my high school, there are a considerable amount of metalheads and classic rock fans, but the new music dominates (as far as I know, remembering the fateful Homecoming dance last year where I met my b/f)... I completely hate this new pop culture- it sickens me so much!

So many Sabbath songs mean a lot to me, but the one that's closest to my heart is Solitude, and for a similar reason to Nickolai's.
I have actually cried to that song on more than one occasion, I find it completely beautiful and it's in my top 5 favorite Sabbath songs, and I think it's pretty underrated. I had listened to it before my whole heartbreak situation, but then when my first girlfriend (in my life, my first love) broke up with me rather coldly, which was a rather long time ago, I listened to it every day for a good long time. It was sort of my anthem, because there wasn't a line in it I couldn't somehow relate to. It was exactly how I felt.
On more upbeat songs, I really love A Hard Road, has some good points. War Pigs is one of the greatest anti-war songs ever written, Hand of Doom is beautifully written as well, and is probably the most interesting song ever written about heroin addiction. I don't relate to Air Dance but the lyrics in that song really move me, all about faded glory and what not. Under the Sun/Everday Just Comes and Goes speaks a lot about the way I look at the world in someways, especially the opening verses. I could go on more but this covers the highlights.

War Pigs showed them as band that has lot of balls if it wasn't shown before.. tehy really have good lyrics in most songs but maybe Solitude lyrics have most meaning to me.
