The " eek oh s**t" part reminds me of one of my coworkers.

You can't trust her to do pasta (which isn't really all pasta... but that's what we call it) AND she sucks as a waitress.

She burns the garlic bread due to goofing off and forgetting about it. I've seen cheese in colours that I didn't know it could be.

She also forgets about her tables. I was eating with my mom and sister once and she was our waitress. Took her 20 minutes to get us our drinks. stare

Her response when she came into the dining area and saw us: " eek oh s**t"

Actually, I think she completely forgot about us until that moment - even to put our order in - cuz it took another ten minutes before the garlic bread arrived (which actually takes only three minutes to make), and fifteen minutes after that our pizza came.

@ Unholy: Hehe... yeah, it was... I don't think we're going to forget it anytime soon... especially since her replacement is her daughter... xd

(also sad @ your sig *e-hugs*)

@ Pistil: Lol, yeah, but that chick sounds dumb... this lady wasn't... she just never remembered to log in & out... never got into the habit of it I guess...

So today Matt jokingly mimicked Cam by sticky-taping a full sized chocolate Easter Bunny that he wasgiven to his computer "for the little guy" (which was Cam's reasoning with the biscuit).

And Cam apparantly needed two pieces of paper (possibly actual important things, I don't know "One to spit on & one for (someone else)".... then he got two & yes, he spat (or pretended to) on one of them... very odd...

But yay! Casual day for the rest of the week! Woo!

Continuing on with the Cam-stories...

A random Customer Service agent needed to log in to a certain system (CS agents don't have their own log-ins, even though they need to use the system too)... so:

Her: "Can someone log me in to *the system*? I don't know the password..."
Cam: *raising his arms & making "V"s with his fingers* "It's 'Camrocks1'!"
Her: " rolleyes In your dreams!"
Me: " sweatdrop No... really... it is..."

In other news THE BISCUIT IS STILL THERE! EW!

Also Josh, who used to sit at the computer I'm temporarily using... screwed it up, so the monitor is kinda sideways... STUPID JOSH! Now my neck hurts!

The other day Cam was rapping.... like... really badly attempting to freestyle...

And he wouldn't aknowledge anything anyone said unless they rapped too... or at least, he said he wouldn't...

He actually made something rhyme which was rather impressive, lol.

(to Josh who wanted him to do something that looked like it was for another department): "Why you givin' this to me? This is a SME!" rofl

Also, Josh has been looking very lovely lately in his fluffy scarves he keeps stealing from the girls... as has Cam who has constantly been stealing the coats of another girl in our team.... weirdos.

Quote of the day:

(random co-worker to other random co-worker while we were at lunch):
"Don't shove your goat-flavoured hand in my face!!! *pause* It's not every day you get to say that... *pause* and mean it!"

scream

Okay, today wasn't that great.

First of all, I had to walk to work because my dad took my car. This ended up reminding me of why he needed my car and got me pissed off:

His contract was terminated because some other guy needed surgery for his hand because it hit my dad in the back of the head so many times.

Yeah, my dad started it - pushed the other guys forehead with his fingertips - but was walking away when the guy gave him a punch to the back of the head. My dad ended up with a black eye (because his face met a table) and contusions (because the other guy kept punching him in the back of the head, even when my dad was utterly defenceless - he couldn't even feel or see anything, he could only hear the other guy hit him).

THE OTHER GUY GOT A BOO-BOO ON HIS HAND AND IS STILL WORKING FOR THE GODDAMN COMPANY!!

So yeah, now that the black eye is gone, my dad needs to find a new job - which is why he needed my car.

Okay, on with my story.

Once at work, I was already effectively not in a good mood. I made it well known. Somehow, this means "Pistil wants to be left alone, let's all abandon the kitchen!" evil Okay, not really, but I was the only one in there the majority of the time - and it was freakin hot in there. Now, see, while everyone else was busy complaining that it was hot and putting wet towels on there necks, I WAS WORKING! I would've loved to join in with the complaining, but I was busy making orders. On top of that, I get heat stroke REALLY EASILY, so even if I wasn't busy, just the thought of saying something sapped my energy.

I got dizzy on a number of occasions, but luckily I didn't get heat stroke, my love affair with the water kept me sweating (which I don't do a lot of, which accounts for why I get heat stroke so easily).

Every time I went into the walk-in I daydreamed about how lovely it would be to live in there.

Okay, on we go:

At one point I had five bills. I sent the pasta part of one order to the pasta table, expecting the pasta person to make the pasta (okay, it was wings). But the pasta person was sweeping the floor, so complained and asked if I could do it. IT'S NOT THAT ******** HARD TO PUT 10 WINGS ON A PAN AND SHOVE IT INTO AN OVEN!!! IT'D TAKE ONE MINUTE IF YOU WENT AS FAST AS A TURTLE! ON TOP OF THAT, YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO HELP ME WHEN I GET A LOT OF ORDERS! - I was gonna say all that, but, yeah, too hot to get anything but a bull-snort out (which I did do - along with a lot of banging and such just to be sure she got my point)

I got over that pretty quick - since it happens at least once every time I'm there. But today, the fact that a mere ten minutes later I had to help her with 2 bills (I was cutting pizzas, so she had to make them). But because I helped her, the second another bill came up she disappeared. evil

At one point, I just stopped caring. We were out of cut green peppers, so one order went without, and got skimped on the tomatoes too (it was a veggie lover). The next pizza I put too much sauce on and not enough toppings. Next one I think I did the opposite. One, the toppings were skewed to one side. ><

It actually got me in a better mood - seeing as no one was complaining about any of it.

Now for the good news: I got off an hour early.

And for the bad news: I changed my availability to MORE hours. stressed

In that case... you overreact too much! blaugh

In other news, Cam didn't do anything weird today... well, nothing weirder than usual anyway. Josh was kinda ticked off when he started picking on me near the end of my shift & then I told him that I was out of gummi bears, so he couldn't have any. Also because he was being mean.

And not stupid, but funny, one of the managers at work is English... (awesome guy... he's married to an Aussie girl so he's "no' some illigal immigrant, I am 'ere legally") he has funny slang... I've still got nfi what a "Diamond Geezer" (pronounced by him as "Diahmand Geezah"... go the English accent) is, but I get the feeling it's a good thing...

I have one person in particular in mind when somebody says stupid co-workers, Mercedes. I swear that girl is illiterate on purpose!
We got a shipment of budgies, rabbits, hedgehogs and fish in last friday and we like to have them for a week to make sure they are healthy before we sell them. There will be a sign on every avirary, terrarium etc. that holds these new animals that says " Do not sell these ___ until such and such a date" So I come in on sunday for a staff meeting and I notice that one of the bunnies is sold
" Kaitee, where's the third bunny?"
" I haven't sold him, he might just be hiding in the cubby"
So we check and we notice there are still only two bunnies. So Kaitee ( she actually my manager) and I start asking everybody who sold the bunny. Mercedes pipes up " I did" Kaitee gives her the what-for on that and pointed to the sign that even the public can see " These bunnies are not for sale yet"
And then on the monday when I come in I notice somebody had sold a blue budgie, one of the new ones. So I go through the files and find the contract with guess who's name on it....Mercedes.
I KNOW she can read so what the crap?!

With a name like Mercedes, apparantly her parents decided she was going to be stupid before she was born... or ever so slightly after. As soon as you said that her name was Mercedes I just went "Here we go... rolleyes " lol!

There's one girl I work with who pretty much just doesn't know how to do her job. She's also really lazy. At the store we work at we have to have a fitting room attendant. This girl will gladly switch you so she doesn't have to be out on the floor doing recovery and putting out merchandise. Don't get me wrong, she'll put out the misses clothing from the fitting room, but that's the most of it. Too bad when she puts things up, she will normally put them in the wrong place. This isn't too much of a problem, until we have a big visit coming and everything needs to be perfect and things like that. Also, the fitting room is supposed to be organized like the floor, and alot of people don't really organize it perfectly, they at least put things in the right department section. When she first started she didn't put anything in the right place to help us get all the merchandise back out on the floor. I nicely told her that she should check the numbers and depts. when she puts it on the rack so we can put it out faster, and she said okay, but then when two of our co-workers were walking up she decided to say "You know you don't have to have an attitude with me. I'm just learning this." stare It takes all of like 30 minutes to get used to the department numbers, if even that, plus the numbers are on the place cards on the bar there.

She's better at organizing now, but majority of the time, if something's in the wrong place, it's her fault, and you can't offer her some kind of helpful tip or anything without her getting pissy.

Another co-worker of mine apparently didn't know I was pregnant, and this is a pretty funny story. We were going to clock out and I was talking to the coordinator Andrew, who was the closing manager for the night. I was like "God, tomorrow's my ultrasound." This girl stops in the middle of the doorway, holding open the door to the hallway to the breakroom with the most shocked look on her face and says "You're pregnant? I thought you were just gaining weight." To this, Andrew and I just start laughing. To me and people I know you can tell I'm pregnant, not just getting fat. So, by the time we're in the breakroom (which took just a couple of seconds) I was like "yeah, I'm pregnant." to which she says "I'm so glad you told me that. I had thought 'she must be putting it down, she's gaining weight really fast." That was just the funniest thing to me because she just seemed so dumbfounded.

what drives me nuts is when you have a co worker who likes to come in and tell you all the random guys that she has had sex with and when you tell her you dont care, she continues to talk, and then later yells at your like she is your boss when your not... I hate coworkers like that .

@ Shurikens: rofl rofl rofl That's hilarious! Reminds me of the time my mum was out shopping (while pregnant) & she ran into someone (I think the family doctor, or someone like that) who was with his wife & hadn't seen mum since she got pregnant.

Him: "Oh, I didn't know you were pregnant! How far along are you?"
His wife: " eek gonk scream Don't say that! She might not be pregnant! How do you know she is?"
Him: "Well, if you'd seen her before, you'd KNOW that she's pregnant!"
My mum: rofl

@ xarwenx: gonk

My latest story!

Today my teams been working on getting lots of extra speadsheets to keep track of everything that goes wrong so that we can fix them. Today Jen (girl in my team) made another... this is only for our team (no-one else will really see it) so she & Anj (another girl there) decided to have a bit of fun when dividing up each persons section.

The names for the sections are as follows (Edited for accuracy):

julia gooolia (<- me... the 3 o's is something an Evil Meerkat (don't ask) decided I needed 5 years ago & so I kept it.

hally Berry (Hally)

i like older men jen (Jen)

vio-lyn (Lyn)

mad dog matt (Matt)

SABACA anj (Anj - I don't get it either... it's an in-joke... I think it means good...)

& lastly:

sooky la la CAM (Cam... because he was being a drama queen & sulking all day)

Continuing with the picking-on-Cam:
This afternoon:

Anj's friend (to Louise, our manager): "My water bottle broke."
Louise: "You mean, you poured water on Cam?"
AF: *nods*
Louise: "How much?"
Anj: "Like, one drop!"
Louise: "& (let me guess) Cam acted like he was drowning?"
*Everyone laughs*
Anj & AF: "Yeah, pretty much."
Louise: "*laughs* So, he's gone off to have a cry now, has he?"
Anj: "Yeah, he was like *mimicks Cam sulking* '*eergh!* I'm gonna go cry in the bathrooms now!' & then he huffed off."
*Everyone laughs*

Cam returns shortly after.

Louise: "Did you go for a swim Cam?"
Cam: "*Ergh!* she poured water on me! Look me shirt is wet! (the wet spot is the size of a 10c piece (aus), so it's pretty small) Now my n****e is wet, feel!" * Cam then bares said "wet n****e"/ Everyone laughs. Again.*

So today I was in the "quiet room"... it has bean bags & it's less noisy than the rest of the break-out room... but people mostly just go there to sleep... or have quiet conversations.

Anyway, Matt & I were in there with some random guy from another contract & Matt's girlfriend Hayley (from another department) comes in & joins us.

We're all quietly chatting & some girl opens the door really quickly, looks at us, says "sorry" & leaves as quickly as she came.

Us: " eek Uhh... bye?"

Matt/random guy (I can't remember which): "Woah... who was that?"
Hayley: "Billing."
Matt: "Who?"
Hayley: "I don't remember their names! I just know the departments. Shes from Billing. *Pause* I think her name is Cheryl. [In a 'yeah, I think that's it' tone] She's got the same name as the other Cheryl. 3nodding "
Matt: "Oh, what's her name?"
Hayley: "Cheryl."
Me & Hayley: xd
