Gabrielle grinned. "I'm sure it'll be nice up there. I need to stay here for awhile."

Gabrielle got up and walked into her room quickly. She put the flower back down on the dresser where it had been. Kouii had followed her and he jumped on her bed. He watched the flower, intent on guarding it. Gabrielle went back to sit with Strider after she put the picture of lemonade away.

"Do you like to travel, Strider?"

Gabrielle hugged Strider back and watched her as she ran down the street, her faithful Ahtun following close behind her. It was getting dark now. Time always passes by so quickly when I spend time with friends. Gabrielle closed the door, locking it behind her.

Gabrielle slowly cleaned the kitchen. She washed the dishes and put away the picture of lemonade. Food... Gabrielle opened the fridge and, seeing the carrot cake in it, wondered why she hadn't offered some cake to Strider. Gabrielle took out the cake and cut herself a slice. She put the cake on a plate and returned the cake-holding tray to the fridge.

Gabrielle went and opened the back door. She called out for her other pets and they all returned to the inside of the house except for Argoal, Temiki and Annas who rested elsewhere. Kouii still watched the flower, but he was now resting on the floor. Charlotte batted around a toy mouse on the ground. Gabrielle went and locked the back door and then she returned to her carrot cake.

Gabrielle picked up her carrot cake went into her bedroom. She sat on her bed with the cake and started to read a book silently. She almost inhaled the cake. When she was done reading, Gabrielle went into the kitchen and finished cleaning up. She brought Charlotte into her bedroom to rest with her. Charlotte went to sleep next to Kouii. Gabrielle got into her pajamas and jumped into bed. She looked down at her pets and at her new flower and she smiled. Then they all fell asleep with the sound of owls calling out to the night.

Gabrielle went into her bedroom and picked up the flower. She said goodbye to her pets and left her house with the flower, locking the door behind her. She proceeded down the street to the grocery store.

Gabrielle was in front of the grocery store when a stray dog walked past her. It was starving and it was salivating all over itself when it saw her. It barked at her and eyed the potted flower in her arms. Gabrielle's pupils dilated with fear for a moment and she ran into the store, shielding the delicate flower.

Once in the store, Gabrielle picked up a blue basket with her free hand. She went up and down the aisles till she reached the baby section. Gabrielle picked baby bottles, baby formula, a blanket and a rubber duck off from the shelves of the store. Gabrielle also bought a piece of smoked salmon and a cradle. She then proceeded to the register and paid for the items selected.

The woman at the register, who was of a pale complexion with green eyes and brown hair, rung up the items on the scanner. Gabrielle paid for her groceries and then left the store. She looked over to where the dog had been and went to check out the alley. The dog was not there anymore, but there were several stay cats. Gabrielle left the salmon on the ground there and went home.

Gabrielle would have had a hard time bringing the cradle home, but it had wheels and breaks on it. She unlocked her house door and put her groceries on the counter. She carried the flower to her room and placed it on her dresser where it had been before. She put the cradle near her own bed. Tired, she flopped down on her bed and rested.

Gabrielle finished her shower and got ready to go take care of her chickens and sheep. She lived on a small farm. She put on her work clothes, gloves, and bandana. Then she went outside into her shed and got a bag of chicken feed. She approached the enclosure full of chickens.

Gabrielle closed the door behind her and threw chicken feed to the ground. The fowl quickly swarmed over the small pieces of corn, pecking at the ground to get their fill.

Kouii had finished making himself the sandwich and silently sat at the table nearby. As he bit into the cheesy delicacy, he stopped. Loud sobbing was heard throughout the house. He looked around the room in shock, half expecting to see a ghost or some other apparition, but his eyes landed on a small figure nestled next to the pot he had seen earlier on the kitchen counter. The infant was pink and had a distint heart-shaped birthmark that rested on its face. The baby's face scrunched up and tears spilled onto it's soft wool. Kouii's eyes soften and he immediately rose from his seat to comfort the creature.

Gabrielle had heard the strange sounds coming from the house and she immediately dropped the chicken's meal to the ground. The birds crowed and clucked with delight as they swarmed the dropped nutrients, plucking the corn from the ground gratefully. Gabrielle quickly opened the door that lead into the living room of her house and peered over into the kitchen. Her eyes widened as she viewed not only Kouii there, but a small pink creature. "Kouii! What is...?" Gabrielle looked over at the pot. The flower on it was gone. Her mouth dropped open slightly as she approached Kouii. He looked at her and smiled.

"I think we have a baby. This little one came from that strange puffy plant you have. I was eating, but then I heard distress and looked towards the counter. I found her there." Kouii gently handed the baby over to Gabrielle, who still wore a look of utter shock and amazement on her face. Gabrielle held the baby, who had stopped its sobbing awhile ago. The girl looked up at her with a look on it's face that mirrored Gabrielle's. Gabrielle turned back to Kouii. "How...?" Kouii shrugged. "I guess we have a baby now."

Gabrielle turned slightly pink. "We? Are you staying here again? Why didn't you tell me you were coming home?" Kouii grinned and then rustled the baby's wooly head. "We can talk about that later."

Strider walked down the dusrty road in a black long sleeved button up shrit and dark blue jeans on. She carried a small lavender fluff ball of a hitsuji with her. Her gray yellow eyes scanned the road for the dog that had been watching out for Zekial. She wanted to give him a treat or two. She came to Gabrielle's road and tilted her head in thought. She smiled and slowly walked down it. She came up to her house and slightly knocked on the door. It was a calm cool afternoon out, and the harvest moon shown brightly.

Strider nearly fell over when she saw Kouii grinning face. She grinned right back, "Havent seen you in awhile either! Where have you been?!" She laughed. Zekial made a small sqeaking noise as he got comfortable in Striders arms.

Strider tilted her head to the side and looked down at Zekial, "You should know me by now.." She smirked, "It's called a Hitsuji.." She looked behind her as she cought sight of the dog that had saved them from one of those wild cats. She smiled and beckoned him over. She knelt down and wistled.

The large brown wolf looking dog's ears twiched to a sound to his left. He saw the Hitsuji and the human he had saved. His tail slightly wagged and he padded over to her. He sat down in front of her looking at Kouii with a curious look on his face.

Strider smiled and looked behind her and at Kouii then back at the dog. "Dont worry he's.." She stopped when she saw the dog stand up and lick Kouii's hand. o.o; "Guess your not worried," she chuckled.
