Very s3x... Convert it to an LS2 3nodding 3nodding

thats a waste of time and money. parts are fairly cheap for the ls1 and it dont take much to make them way faster than the ls2. if you look at how much a ls2 costs then throw in fabbing lots of things and all the work and wireing you are looking at WELL over 5 grand....or you could spend that much on a blower and everything you need to make 500-600hp to the wheels.

ZL-1?? xd xd

zl1? i think you mean zr1...and no parts for those are outrageous and only makes a tad more hp than an ls1...not to mention the motor itself will run you 9 grand. i will definatly stick with what i got. and do some mods to it. there are several of these cars in the 8's on the stock block and bottom end.

nah i meant ZL-1.... unless the magazine i just read made a typo and meant to say ZR-1... but... R and L are pretty far apart so i don't know....

Downgrade the engine to a 4 cylinder???
lol! xd xd xd
j/k

Maybe later down the track i will think about a C.O.M.E 400cube in my car... xd xd
Or i could just stick with the original 383 idea...
i need some proper income

Wow, 8's on the stock block is some pretty wicked potential. I probably wouldn't mod it that far if I wanted a daily driver though. My dad keeps telling me that a fun (and somewhat gasoline friendly) street car runs at around 12.5's. But then again, his Camaro ran mid 11's..........

I want a Firebird, I've made a personal goal of getting ahold of a 70-ish Formula 440, but I'm deep in debt at the moment, and I don't have teh time for a restoration right now. Just gotta wait until I get a REAL job... gonk

That's one of the main reasons I like American cars. It just seems like there so cheep. My sonoma was only $500 it's in perfect condition other than the fact that the paints kinda faded. It came with a shift kit and performance chip that would of normaly cost me about $500. I stole Some Camaro wheels and a pioneer Stereo system out of some Junk S-10 I foung. I just now found out you can run turbos on the 4.3L's so Im looking in to those. I also want to get a posi-track rearend for it... I need to get some picture's of it.

my friend had a posi-track rearend in his El Camino Diablo. It goes nicely with the 350 small block.

i am about to bust the 8k budget. the spec 3 clutch i want is about 900 bucks. i have saved alot of money fabricating most of my own custom parts. once this is done and broke in i should have no problem yanking the left wheel off of the ground(if not both) if i get traction. should be quite a bruiser. keep in mind with my car in full trim it weighs in around 4700-4800 lbs
