Ezeoha gave Mosi a long, skeptical look. How could she not know what a meerkat was? "Did your parents not show you them?" Well, where Jini and Mosi's parents failed, Ezeoha would excell. He'd be glad to give them a little lesson on meerkats.
"The best way to know what a meerkat is, is to see it up close. C'mon, I'll show yah!" The little cub quickened his pace, not bothering to look back and see if Jini and Mosi were able to keep up. He was beginning to get excited again. Meerkats were funny creatures, in his opinion, and he couldn't wait to give his two new friends a close peek at them. That was, of course, if the creatures didn't spot them first and go ducking into their holes.

Mosi furrowed her expression into a glower in response to Eze's glance. There was much that she'd yet to see, and all because her father insisted that they were too little still.
The little lioness felt her ears tuck against her skull and she felt herself defensively bristle, as if embarassed or ashamed to admit it.
"No. This is only the fourth time we've been away from the-!"
--but Ezeoha was already off ahead. Mosi's orange eyes widened a little and she looked to her brother urging him to hurry.
"Ezy wait up!" She shouted, already running after the other.

Jini's ears drooped as they raced off again. He hurried after them, looking dejected and worried. He could barely keep up with his sister, let alone her and a friend! Apparently he hadn't inherited his mother's boundless energy or her firey spirit.
"W-wait sissy!" he cried helplessly as she stumbled along.

Ezeoha barely heard Mosi as he trotted on ahead of her. The cub turned his head to the side to peer at her, ears perked up slightly. "Only the fourth time?" Man she was young; but Ezeoha liked young women. They had all the youth in the world and he loved to just stare at them and admire their beauty.
The cub slowed his pace, allowing Mosi and Jini to catch up. It would not do for him to leave them behind on accident; Nukta would be really upset. That was one lion at the current that he'd rather not deal with. "We're almost there, just keep up and you'll see all the little meerkat imps you like."

Mosi sighed softly, feeling guilty and sorry for Jini as her brother cried out for her. No matter how much of a spoil sport he may or may not be she still cared about him. She hated hearing him sound so upset, so she slowed her pace some more and finally flat out paused so Jini could catch up. They could always find their way back together if they fell behind.
Ezeoha did come back for them, though, so it worked out. His two temporary charges were young still, just old enough to be out and maybe on their own a little, but not old enough to know about all the dangers of life yet, let alone the world of romance.
None the less she did give Eze a grateful glance before nudging her baby brother's neck with her nose and a reassuring purr. "Dad can't be too mad at us, Jini, we're not going that far, and it's only to learn some new stuff. We'll go back if there's trouble, just like he said, okay?"

When he finally caughed up the stopped a little, his head dropping slightly. His ears flickered back sheepishly at his sister's affectionate nudge. He tried to often a smile in return, but it was uncertain, "But...didn't daddy want us to stay back there? What if he comes back?" His eyes shut for a moment, making him look rather cute in his dorky little way. Poor boy did not seem to have the confidence of either his mother nor his father.

Ezeoha sighed, realizing that Jini would probably need some more convincing before he willingly came with Mosi and himself. The cub sat down before the younger male, smiling amiably at him. "Your daddy only wanted you two to be taken care of; and that's what I'll do. If he comes back I will be the only one here getting into trouble."
Of course, Ezeoha was not too eager to get into trouble, so he'd probably get them back to where they were before Nukta came back. The trip would be a quick one, just to introduce them to the meerkats and give them a new learning experience. Mosi would appreciate that, and he'd do anything just to receive a female's appreciation.

Mosi nodded, listening to Ezeoha, figuring he was trying to ease her brother's worry. She decided to give it a try too, and smiled toothily for the younger male to see. "See? What could possibly go wrong?"
It really was just a harmless trip, and it wasn't like Nukta could -really- expect for them to sit around and be still for who knew how long anyway.
She grinned, winked, and continued on their way. This was promising to be the start of an interesting friendship.
