Christian would come running with a full sprint. But Trent was prepared, as Christian began to spin to deliver the elbow, Trent looked to grab Christian by the back. In an attempt to lock in the crossface chickenwing

The move Christian went for allowed him an opportunity, only the momentum behind it didn't allow him to lock it in completely right away. Right now, Trent would look to try and hook his arms together to fully lock in his signature submission hold early on in the contest.

Looking to avoid disaster by getting locked in that deadly submission, Christian would look to slip out of it and attemot to flip Trent forward to the canvas with a snapmare!

Just as he had it, Trent would get thrown over Christian, hitting the mat from the snapmare, rolling all the way to a seated position, as he would hold his upper back.

Christian would run to the ropes in front of where Trent was facing, hitting them and coming back with a short dropkick to his face in that seated position.

With a sprint, Christian would hit the ropes and drop Trent with another dropkick. This time clipping his face with it, sending Trent back clinging on to his dome, kicking down on the mat with one foot in pain.

Christian goes for the first cover attempt of the match, hooking Trents leg and the referee gets down to count.

The official would slide to the side of Trent, assuring both shoulders were on the mat before beginning the count.
One!~
After the first count, Trent would throw a shoulder up, breaking the early pinfall. Immediately trying to get to a seated position again to avoid being on the mat for too long.

With Trent sitting up, Christian looks to get to a knee and go for a clever veteran wear down strategy here by placing Trent in a headlock to wear his athletic opponent down some!

The crowd would rally for both men as Trent was placed in the seated headlock. The official got in close to check if he wanted to quit. Trent would reach a hand out, motioning toward the ropes but not moving much while under Christian's control

Christian establishes position on Trent and keeps the headlock applied, as the fans start to cheer Trent on to get out of it!

Using his non dominant hand, he began to push against the mat, using it to try and help roll a bit to his side and than to a knee. Still reaching his dominant hand out just a foot away from the ropes.
