Which lion are you entering for? Blue Eyed Matron
A brief description of their personality: A lioness who rewards ambition and productivity, she is a strong believer in 'you miss prey you don't hunt'. She has a strong dislike of lazy lions.
Do they have any future goals or plans? Matron though she may be, she continues to try and impress her skills upon the Empress. While she's very loyal to her existing harem, there have been rumors about her vying to become apart of the Empress' entourage, because why else would she be trying so hard to show her diligence and merit?

A brief description of their personality: Athletic and boastful, this lioness enjoys hunting in long grass where her stripes provide natural camouflage. She hunts for the joy of it as much as needing to eat and has a personal vendetta against zebras - they're so hard to tell apart!
Do they have any future goals or plans? She wants to be known as the best hunter in her harem... or even better, in the entire pride! Only problem is that she's not very talented when she's hunting outside of tall grassy areas. Surely no one will call her out on that though, right?

A brief description of their personality: Courageous and proud, he values striped pelts over golden furs because they generally make for better hunters. He loves the ladies in his harem for their stripes and holds a secret insecurity that if a lion with more stripes than he has comes along, that they'll replace him.
Do they have any future goals or plans? Constantly trying to prove himself as the best of the best, he seeks out other warriors and sub males to practice his fighting moves on so he can be better prepared if danger ever approaches from beyond territory lines.

Which lioness are you entering for? Leopard Spots
Why was she chosen as an entourage? An older female, Sarama was born in the time of Ilanga, as the daughter of a matron. She was there for Khanya’s birth, celebrating along with the rest of the pride, and watched the young empress-to-be grow and then eventually take her crown. Throughout the years, she acted as an older confidante, her steady, caring nature well suited to babysitting duty and to leading the youngsters in fun hunts, terrorizing the local meerkat population.
As Khanya finally came into her power, Sarama was chosen to stand at her side, her loyalty absolute, her friendship unwavering. She had seen her empress from birth until now and she plans on living out the rest of her days at her side, offering wise advice and acting as a pillar even during the most turbulent times.
How does she feel about the empress and her champion?
Khanya - As if she was family, Sarama adores her empress. Though she is older, her respect is always made clear and would fight to the death if necessary. She knows Khanya is young but has a good head on her shoulders and will always make the right choices for the pride. Also being quite fond of physical contact, if Khanya is resting somewhere, you can always expect Sarama to flop down close by for a cuddle and a word of encouragement.
Shujaa - She respects him a great deal. She can see the fondness that Khanya and Shujaa have for each other and she approves of not just their bond but in how serious he takes his job as champion. Sarama will often send Shujaa off for a nap with a playful bat of her paw, after he’s spent one too many hours on guard. Though someday she may want cubs on her own, she won’t take that step until a new heir is born and the pride lineage is secured.
What other activities does she enjoy? Sarama loves to spend time with the pride cubs, leading them on mock hunts and teaching them the old stories of the pride. When not busy with that, hunting or spending time with Khanya and the entourage, Sarama has made a fun little mindgame with stones and dirt scratches that she plays on her own.
Does she have any hopes or dreams for the future? To see an heir born to pride and to help raise them into a healthy, kind empress-to-be and to maybe have cubs of her own someday.
A brief description of her personality: Kind and caring, Sarama is softly spoken and mild-mannered. She never shouts, she never yells, even on hunts, she moves with a quiet grace. She has an amazing memory, which she uses to remember hunting trails and information about all her pride members - old stories from the past have been passed down to her and on dark nights, her voice can be heard retelling them to any who wish to listen. Even though already an older female, she's wise even beyond that and many come to her for advice on their day to day worries. But she’s also wary of strangers, and is always the last to open up to new members. She fears change and instability and lives strictly by pride rules.

Which lioness are you entering for? Gold & Black
Why was she chosen as an entourage?Kukimbia has always believed that she and Khanya were soul sisters - they were born on the same day, they share a name that starts with the same letter and even their colors are the same!... if you squint. From a young age, Kukimbia had always been there as a loud supporter - she knew that Khanya would inherit, knew that she'd choose the right Champion and knew that she'd be one of the Dawnlands best Empresses. "I'll be there to support you every step of the way, whether apart of your Entourage, or as the Matron of my own harem - don't you forget it!" And what do you know, Khanya didn't forget - because when it came time to choose her entourage, Kukimbia was among the lionesses chosen.
How does she feel about the empress and her champion? Kukimbia adores Khanya. She treats her Empress much like a sister, between friendly teasing and play wrestling with her, but also sitting down and sharing gossip she gleaned from the company of other harems. She doesn't speak to anyone disrespectfully, but there is a jovial teasing tone in her voice whenever she has a bit of constructive criticism - though, of course, she'd always defer to Khanya's final decision on the matter.
Kukimbia enjoys Shujaa's company. She appreciates that he takes his job seriously, because Khanya deserves someone who does - and besides, her Empress chose her Champion and Khanya has good judgement skills in those who stand with her. (Kukimbia might be bias here, given her own high rank.) She does think that he ought to sleep more - because a drowsy lion is a dangerous lion, no matter how seriously he takes his job. Besides, unless she's hunting, she's always near her Empress, so she's often pushing him off to go nap - she'll call him if that changes, but she and the rest of their entourage has got it covered. Nothing will happen to Khanya if he naps for an hour, geez.
What other activities does she enjoy? Kukimbia leads a very active lifestyle, and she enjoys encouraging Khanya and the other members of the entourage to do the same. Whether that's play wrestling among themselves or practicing their hunting skills, sometimes she'll even just run long, loping circles around the Empress' area she's happiest when she's on her paws. She does have an ear for gossip, but she doesn't actively seek it out, she's just observant enough to notice if So-N-So from the Pale Harem is looking longingly at the Warrior from the Striped Harem.
Does she have any hopes or dreams for the future? Her dream for the future has always been to become Khanya's closest confidant. Now that she's apart of the entourage, she still holds that dream close, but she worries that it would impact negatively the harem at large, if her secret wish to be the Empress' absolute best friend were found out. So she tries to set her sights on other things. She doesn't explicitly want to be a mother, but she wants her future cubs to be friends with Khanya's future cubs and that they'd raise them together. She would also be happy if she'd be able to continue racing around and beating her personal best speed every few months. She runs enough, she's bound to get better at it, she hopes!
A brief description of her personality: Devoted friend or obsessive pride mate - sometimes it can be hard to tell with Kukimbia, but one thing is clear, she'd give her life to ensure Khanya's safety and loves no one else but her Empress. Consumed with the desire to be desirable, Kukimbia works hard to be a joyful presence to those who come into contact with her. She wants the best for everyone in the entourage, but she wants to be the best for her Empress. Such a socially and physically active lifestyle might set some red flags to others as a lioness who's approaching some level of burnout - but she's determined to outrun burnout, no matter how long it threatens to chase her!

Which lioness are you entering for? Leopard Spots
Why was she chosen as an entourage? Chui is confident that her Empress is going to be among the best, there can be no other option. However, she is also confident that being the best can take a lot out of you, especially if you have to be the best all the time. Chui was chosen to be an entourage because she is fiercely loyal to her Empress and cares deeply about Khanya's personal wellbeing. She has zero problem in stepping in on behalf of her Empress, not to take over for her, but to escort her away from a meeting with someone who has a complaint, or someone who wishes that Khanya snuggle their new litter or some mundane task - everyone else puts Khanya on a pedestal - which is fine, but they forget that she's a lioness like everyone else too. It's not Chui's job to remind them, but it is her job to cut through their nonsense and see Khanya off to a secluded spot to relax for some needed love and care.
How does she feel about the empress and her champion? Chui doesn't envy the role of the Empress. Maintaining a pride with as many lions as are in the Dawnlands, with new rogues coming in at any given time and trying to ward off the advances of enemy prides: it's not something Chui could ever handle. What she can handle, however, is making sure that her beloved Khanya is being cared for. Chui maintains the position of both loving and being in love with Khanya. She wants her golden lioness to feel supported, wants Khanya to be able to step away from the heavy responsibilities of being the Empress and have the opportunity to be a lioness that is loved by the ones closest to her. Chui shows this most prominently in long grooming sessions, in making sure Khanya always has something to eat when she wants it, and whispering sweet words into her ear.
With Shujaa, Chui is more reserved. She's friendly to him, but she doesn't regard him as a partner. She understands that she'll eventually bear a litter of his cubs and she takes no issue with that. That's part of her job in the Dawnlands, and especially as a part of the entourage. She's even happy that it would be with Shujaa because she appreciates his seriousness towards his job and appreciates the social aesthetics that their cubs might have - dark manes being something that's sought after. She doesn't treat him with any tenderness, but will tell him to go get some sleep while she's tending to Khanya. He won't be worth anything to any of them if he falls down dead due to exhaustion.
What other activities does she enjoy? Chui is a social lioness, so she enjoys talking to other members of the Empress' harem, but she also enjoys exchanging news and gossip between the other Matrons, and sometimes, after a hunt, will spend some time exchanging small talk with the Huntresses of other harems. She is very mindful of her appearance and enjoys engaging in long grooming sessions and will gather as many members of the Empress' harem together to chat with her as her tongue works hard to make their pelts shine. This is something that she exclusively does for the lionesses in the Empress' harem, the lions can groom themselves. She's particularly cuddly, so after a day of work, she enjoys finding the best position to wrap herself around Khanya's flank - and hopefully, another member of the harem will protect her back as she does so, in a cuddle line. This is one of the few occasions that she allows Shujaa to engage in any softness with her, because she trusts someone as large as him to have her back - in cuddles and through his job.
Does she have any hopes or dreams for the future? As far as she's concerned, she's achieved her dreams. She wanted to be there for Khanya, the lioness she developed a crush on, and then she was chosen to be an entourage to her. She's still very much in love with Khanya, and while she's certain that she is loved - for surely all of the members of the Empress' harem are loved in one manner or another - she won't delude herself into thinking that Khanya is in love with her. Such thoughts have been sequestered into a secret part of her heart, a tiny wish that won't let it get in the way of all the happiness she currently experiences.
A brief description of her personality: Chui is the lioness you assume who is mean based the fact that she her resting face conveys disinterest and even mild irritation. However, once you talk to her, she'd surprise you because she's a very attentive listener and enjoys having meaningful small talk. She'll go out of her way to listen to your troubles and woes, even if she's not able to directly influence or fix them, she can offer a sympathetic shoulder. Among her direct peers and harem members, she's incredibly kind and loving. While her priority is always Khanya, she wants to make sure that everyone in the Empress' harem feels heard and taken care of, often resulting her gathering up the girls to have a grooming party. She is not scared to tell someone off if they've upset her Empress and she will throw claws if danger dares show its face near her loved ones.
