Pageantry You're a mermaid? That's pretty cool. So, are the myths of mermaids having a beautiful voice that lures sleeping sailors out of their dreams true, based on what you remember of your past life? I apologise if it's a touchy issue, but it's something that I've been curious about. Also, a siren is the same thing as a mermaid, correct? Ok I am about to sound so totally arrogant and immodest, but...you asked so forgive me and I'll try to be objective. My voice is one of my gifts now. I have a really beautiful voice and can do things with it exceot for one big issue...it takes alot of work, I mean I have had to use glamour to get it to blend and not stand out in choruses and such. And I can NOT sing with the radio.....as to the siren thing, the way I see it a mermaid is a siren, but a siren is not a mermaid...in other words like if you classify a mermaid as to my knowledge and preception it goes fey-siren-mermaid. Make sense?

My other part is fae so I thought I'd post in here, if you guys don't mind.
The fae part I have is not found in any of the mythologies I've read, I only discovered it when I started doing some research in the astral. Its really not what I think of when I think of fae, that's for sure.

Well, the fae part is kind of like a nymph but not the more well known dryad or nereid kind. Its called a Stone Nymph and it deals with rocks. They are more than a little antisocial and tend to live in caverns and mountainous areas. they have pretty potent abilities when it comes to stones and earth magic. People can forget that nymphs represent the beauty of nature, and that beauty can vary a lot since there are many things in nature that are beautiful.

A Stone Nymph? that sounds pretty cool. ^^ Yeah, I can see what you mean. Typically when one thinks of Fae they tend to imagine the butterfly winged magical creatures who flutter about the woods and forests and rarely do people consider the possibility of there being nymphs and faeries being tied to other elements like stone/earth or water.

I have yet to meet any other fey on here either... sad But the prople I have met were awesome so smile ) Hail and well met, friend fae. i am danothar and i would wish friendship with u. is it true that faeries tend to luv yummy spices like ginger and cinnamon?
