I'm just wondering, but can Psi vampyres go in the sun longer than a normal vampyre? I've heard this before, but I'm not sure. Because, I'm not sure whether I would be one or not, even if I knew that. Because I don't go in the sun for long periods of time almost ever. I've seen the symptoms of Psi Vampyres on people round me a lot, but I don't know if I'm just tricking myself or not, because I only started to notice it after I learned about them. I'm not sure, and I don't want to start thinking I am if I'm not.

Psi-vampirism is a bit of a complicated thing. It's one of the reasons why I, myself, am reluctant to claim that I'm a psyvamp. I mean, all things draw energy at one point or another; thus the energy drawing maketh not the psi-vampire. Psi-vamps are like sanguinarians in that they both require energy outside the energy they're receiving from the food they consume. A popular theory is that there's an energy leak which causes the HLV to crave and..well..basically require that much more energy intake to keep their energy levels in check.

However, it is said that you can sense an HLV by their aura/energies if you encounter them in person. Also, when psifeeding, the aura of the psifeeder tends to kinda form these tendrils of sorts.

With regards to the question of "Psi vamps being able to stay in the sun longer than Normal Vamps", I'm not sure what you mean by "Normal Vampyres"..But..I'll try to answer it to the best of my ability just the same. 3nodding

Energy Vamps(Psi Vampires), won't disintegrate in the sunlight or anything, neither will any other HLV. HLVs are just basically people with a dependance on energy. However, they will typically sunburn and generally get very warm very fast. Well, that, and their sensitive eyes kinda burn..Like when you're on stage and all of the lighting in the scene prior to this moment goes completely dark and a few moments later you suddenly find yourself standing beneath a super bright spotlight and you have to squint because the light is so intense that it burns your eyes. In a nutshell, the sun simply seems too bright, much like the spotlight in the aforementioned scenario. I'm guessing that typically Sangs find the sun too bright for their eyes as well.

..Wow..That explanation was kinda crappy..I -so- need to work on my explanation skills.. sweatdrop

Either way, I'm hoping that that kinda helped..

Sorry for not explaining the definition of HLV. HLV is a term that I've picked up from a few sites. It means Human Living Vampire. Redundant as the definition behind the abbreviation may be, I frequently use it to drive home the fact that I'm NOT talking about fictional, stereotypical vampires like in the Dracula films. But rather, that I am talking about real people with real lives who are as alive as any other living, "normal" person, but just so happen to have a dependence on energy which causes them to seek it out from other sources. 3nodding

Once again, I apologise for the bolding, I just felt the need to emphasize those parts in case my post was being skimmed over.

sweatdrop I have a bad habit of doing that..

Another fun thing about being a vamp is the frequent migraines...headache if you don't feed/energy drops/sudden spikes of energy/too much light (although I'm not very sensitive to sunlight).

Glad to see other vamps around.

I always had head ache when I was little and now have gotten use to them and can ignore the small ones. Sometimes though they get bad. I don't know what to say about the sunlight thing can be diffrent from vampire to vampire the effects I have heard.

My most difficult task is after I've shielded myself to avoid other's emotions or lack of energy, I cut myself off from routine ambient feeding. Usually I can keep myself around enough people that my energy levels stay pretty high without me having to target individuals. Do any of you have feeding preferences or ethical issues you struggle with?

Are you saying you don't have to feed if you have a sheild and are around energetic people?

On the contrary, if I have my shield up I can't feed until I drop it. Being around energetic people or in a charged atmosphere allows me to barely have to pay attention at all in order to gather it out of the air though-only if I've allowed myself to be open to it.
