ᴘƖєαѕє ɗᴏη'ᴛ Ɩєαᴠє ຕє ᴛʜɪѕ ωαу....🌹 Selene had hoped that Amalthea would be able to take out Executioner but it wasn't in the cards today. ' He's right on more training as usual but hers has been more for pokemon contests though.' Selene thought as Amalthea returned to her poke ball.. "Nice try Amalthea." Selene said to her before speaking back to Sly.
"True, yet this battle itself is training for my pokemon. They hadn't battled like this in a long time where it's straight up battle. Just like when we used to train during the island challenge together... You wouldn't let Elio challenge me to a battle unless he was able to beat you in a battle..." She said as she let out Seraphina, her shiny Braixen. Purple smoke appeared along with both pink and gold sparkles mixed in with the smoke. A slight smile appeared on her face as those memories came to the forefront of her mind....
Then she looked over at Sly, looking him over and taking in the current view of him. ' He's certainly gotten taller, that for sure. But his hair style makes him look even taller... I wished I was taller than my five feet and two inches...' Selene thought as she was trying not to think about how he had filled out since she last saw him.'I'm still a bit surprised that I was able to knock him down to the ground like I did... ' She thought to herself before turning her back to Sly and whispered a few things to Braixen before before closing the distance between her and Sly.
'I really shouldn't do what I'm thinking about doing...' Selene thought as she angled her head up so she could looked up into Sly's eyes. " I want to know what happened so I can understand why you didn't meet me as planned or try to. To have some closure I guess since you seemed to not want anything to do with me now." She said before looking away, taking a deep breath. "From the looks you gave both Gajiru and Hibiscus, I know something must have happened before we were supposed to meet and it still bothers you. I won't press you about it anymore but I'm always here if you need anything. My number is still the same from before." Selene said to him as she should just forget him as he wanted her out of his life apparently.
Then she gave the signal to Braixen to lift her up by using her Psychic move to lift her up where could look directly in Sly's eyes without craning her neck up due to their height difference."There was something I wanted to do before we had parted ways but I lost my nerve to do so back then. So I'm going to do so before I change my mind about it again." She said as there was a smidgen of of a blush on her face now, before leaning in to kiss him on the lips. Selene wasn't sure how he was going to react back, she was hoping he would kiss her back but knew that he might not. It was a tender and sweet kiss that Selene gave Sly. The question was, would she keep kissing him until he began kissing her back? Or would she stop the kiss before he could kiss her back? ᴘƖєαѕє ɗᴏη'ᴛ Ɩєαᴠє ຕє ᴛʜɪѕ ωαу....🌹 There was a slight look of disappointment on Selene's face and in her eyes after he pushed her away. 'I'm not surprised really but I was hoping that just maybe... Just forget him like he wants you to.... But I can't though, he was a major part of my past that I can't simply forget him. What he used to be....' Selene thought as she looked away from him before a sigh escaped her lips.
"I still am, you idiot." Selene said as her anger came back. "I'm still furious with how you left me in dust like you did.... " She said back to him, debating whether to slap him again.
But for why she kissed him.... She blushed slightly as she debated how to answer his question of why she kissed him. " As for the kiss I really can't explain... Yet I had wondered if I had kissed you on that day that we parted ways, would we still gone our separate ways? " She asked him, but knew it wasn't worth rehashing the what ifs. ' I tend to torture myself with the what ifs... Especially after he didn't show up that day...' She thought to herself before looking back into his eyes, wondering how he would respond to that question, if he choose to answer it...

ᴘƖєαѕє ɗᴏη'ᴛ Ɩєαᴠє ຕє ᴛʜɪѕ ωαу....🌹 "True, and it's one of my biggest regrets was letting you go back then..." She said after seeing him had his eyes turned down. The both of them were on a roller coaster of emotions right now and was noticeable... "Did I ask you to be my Knight on a Shiny Rapidash who's going be there to catch me when I fall?!?!? I don't need you to be my Knight Sylvester." She said even though it was a lie... 'But I wanted you to be my Knight... Yet, that's not going to happen..' Selene thought as she looked away from him, both knowing that she did want him to be her knight... A sigh escaped her lips as she was tired of this emotional encounter with Sylvester.
Selene came close to slapping Sly after saying it was better that he wasn't her knight on a Shiny Rapidash to who's going be there to catch she when she falls. "You certainly weren't there when Team Rocket came after my shiny fennekin, Seraphina, during my first year in the Pokemon showcases. Morticia Monitor kept at it, trying to take her from me and then when Meloetta joined me, she wanted her as well. I saved Meloetta from being taken by the witch of woman. I hope that I never have to deal with or see Morticia Monitor ever again. Or anyone else from Team Rocket for that matter." She said to him, not knowing that Sylvester was indeed a part of Team Rocket now or that he was Monitor's partner........
Unexpectedly, Selene was being drawn away from Sly. She turned to look at Seraphina to see what she was up to. "What are you doing Seraphina?? Now put me down please." Seraphina had a slight smirk on her face and that wasn't a good sign as she was up to something. Before Selene could say anything else, she was thrown hard against Sylvester and both went falling to the ground....

Why did I start the battle again? I should have just left him here in the dust...'Selene thought to due to pain that Sylvester has caused her. There were better men out there that she could choose from over him....."Use Sunny Days." Selene said even though the storm inside her was not sunny and bright.

Selene said back to Merrimack as it was true that he was bring out the worst in her... At the moment anyways but it was also due to the pain from her wrist."Dodge it Seraphina and use Flamethrower to bring Executioner down!" Selene said as she ignored the throbbing pain in her right wrist. She didn't comment on the not getting hurt part as she had gotten hurt but hoping that she was hiding it well enough.'If Seraphina can hold out a little longer against Executioner, I'll still have her, Po and Cœur D'or to fight against Judge. This is the longest I lasted against Sly in battle like this....' She thought as she hoped that the Flamethrower will take Executioner out.

" Selene said back to him, glad that they were out here where there were no other people around to see or hear this fight... Her public relations manager would be having a fit right now if she saw this. She took a couple of deep breaths in order to try to calm herself down. "To think that I wanted your support all that time, hoping to spot you in the crowd... It was all for naught. I guess those single purple hibiscus flowers that I would receive without a note weren't from you..."She said with a sad look on her face before she winch slightly due to the pain, both emotional and physical.'If it wasn't Sly who sent me those single purple hibiscus flowers at those competitions, then who did?' She wondered to herself as she was watching for Judge to reappear.
"Watch out Seraphina! You know how Dig works so try to dodge it if you can." Even though she had a feeling that Judge will take Seraphina out for this battle. It was hard to dodge a Dig unless your pokemon was a flying type and Seraphina wasn't. Selene was already taking her mega stone glove for Cœur D'or out when Judge did reappear and took out Seraphina. "Thank you for helping me. I am sorry that I cursed at you." She said to her Braixen before having her return to her Heal Ball.
"Come on out Cœur D'or! Let's take advantage of Sunny Day and use Fire Fang on Judge." Selene let out as she slipped on the dove grey mega stone glove that had Mega Steelixs embroidered on in golden thread on her left hand. It had been made by her Grandmama Beaumont while Selene was in Kalos. She had flipped the glove so the stone would be in the palm of her hand instead of on the back of her hand like it would be if she was wearing it on her right hand.

Yet Grandmama already had the glove already made for me before I found the Steelixite stone for Cœur D'or.' "Nice earring, but I like the glove that Grandmama Beaumont made me more so." Selene complimented before having Cœur D'or mega evolve. "Time to show them what we got Cœur D'or Mega evolve now! "She said as Judge was coming at them,already mega evolved with Iron Tail. Selene held up her left hand up aiming it towards Cœur D'or as she evolved into Mega Steelix before Judge's Iron Tail hit Cœur D'or. 'If he had watched me in the contests any, he might remember that I usually wear my mega glove on my right hand, not my left. I hope he doesn't catches on that...' She thought to herself as the pain from her right wrist started up again.
" Hang in there Cœur D'or. Now use Fire Fang again against Judge." Selene said after Cœur D'or had taken some damage from the Iron Tail but not enough to take her out yet. 'Thinking of using Atrract next since I do know that these two Steelixes are opposite genders. Sly will not approved of using that move but whatever works though...' Selene thought to herself as she brought her left hand back down that the evolution was over.

ᴘƖєαѕє ɗᴏη'ᴛ Ɩєαᴠє ຕє ᴛʜɪѕ ωαу....🌹 'Damn it, that's not good!' Selene thought after seeing and hearing Sly tell Judge to use Body Press. "Use Attract and then Dig!" Selene said with a slight tremor to her voice as she knew that Body Press would do major damage for Cœur D'or if they didn't distract Judge quickly. Cœur D'or let go of Judge's tail quickly and then used the move Attract. Then Cœur D'or went underground 'That was a close call that I didn't like.' She thought with a slight frown before looking back at Sly to see his reaction to her using Attract on Judge. Next with a major flourish, Cœur D'or came out of the ground and hit Judge that was now infatuated with her.

Then she began recording Sly's reactions and Judge's reactions. She couldn't hold the phone as steady as she would have liked to to chuckling and straight out laughing.'This was certainly worth it for this part now. Even the other parts of the day were hell but it was worth it for this part....' She thought as Judge wasn't really paying attention to Sly now.
There was a true smile on Selene's face now and she was happy for the moment. She ended the video and took some pictures of the two Mega Steelixes that were enjoying each other's company. She got a picture of the drawing as well before putting the phone away.' I really don't want to end this but need to before Judge can sober up from the Attract move.'Selene thought as she debated what move to use now. "Cœur D'or, use Fire Fang!" Selene said to Cœur D'or and Cœur D'or did so.

ᴘƖєαѕє ɗᴏη'ᴛ Ɩєαᴠє ຕє ᴛʜɪѕ ωαу....🌹 Selene had gotten her phone into her Ranger back pack and deep in it before hearing Sly's reaction. She turned around to face him to speak. "Let me have it Sylvester, I'm not going to posting online or anything. Since once we do part ways, you'll be dead to me. Just like you wanted it to be.... " She commented before seeing him reach for her right wrist. Her eyes widen slightly as she tried to put her right wrist out of his reach. But it was too late...
"AAAAHHHHHHHH! Let go of me Sly!!!!! You're hurting me!" She said as fresh pain seared through her wrist after he grabbed it .'He's going to be the death of me, if I'm not careful.' Selene thought herself, and not for the first time either.... "Please, just let go of my wrist...." Selene said softly to him, not knowing that her whole face was pale in color but with a slight flush due to the slight fever she was starting have due to the sprain wrist.... Selene thought about pulling away but didn't as it might make it worse. She didn't realized that he had drawn her in closer to him when grabbed her wrist as a few tears began to fall from her eyes due to the pain.Both Po and Cœur D'or turned their attention back to Selene after hearing her scream out in pain. Cœur D'or was already back to her regular Steelix size now and had been studying both Judge and the picture before the scream and Po had be talking to that other Pancham. ᴘƖєαѕє ɗᴏη'ᴛ Ɩєαᴠє ຕє ᴛʜɪѕ ωαу....🌹 'At least he's forgotten about the pictures for now.' Selene thought as she noticed that both of her pokemon were on either side of her. She sat down on Golden Heart's tail to use it as a bench. She slid off her backpack, being mindful of her right wrist. She got out her water bottle and drank from it. "Yes to all three... I wrapped my arm around you when we were falling and it got caught between you and the ground..." She admitted to him, looking at him for a moment then looked away.
"It was the first regular Pokemon battle I actually enjoyed battling in a long time.... I didn't want to end it early due to to a minor injury. Stupid I know, but it was nice not battling a pokemon poacher, hunter, or a member of Team Rocket for a change. " She said, not knowing that her childhood friend was a member of Team Rocket now.
Then after his last comment about her mega glove being on backwards, a light went off in her head after some his other comments from earlier came back to her. A slight smile came to her face at that, realizing that he sort of admitted that the flowers had been from him. "So they were from you... Took you long enough to realized that the glove was on the wrong hand Sylvester." She began before drinking some more water. "Doesn't seem like it's been close to a year now since I lost my title ...." Selene said with a slight sigh at the end of the sentence. She went over to Sly, walking like she was on the catwalk, swaying her hips slightly as she made her way to him. Then she grabbed his vest collar with her left hand to try to pull his head down to hers, try to at least. "Now listen here you Sly boy, don't go denying what we both know to be true. I'm not that far gone yet." She said before giving him a wink and letting go of his vest. Then she twirled around to to go back over to her bag to get the first aid kit out of her ranger backpack.
She froze for a moment with how his phased his comment about there was a Ranger nearby, struck an odd chord within her. 'How did he know that there was a Ranger nearby? Could he be... No, I might be becoming a bit delusional from pain and the fever to think that Sylvester could be involved with one of those three groups of villains I mentioned earlier...'Selene thought before she sat back down on Cœur D'or near her bag.
"Your are are right about a Ranger being nearby, it's me." She said as she pulled out the first aid kit for humans first and then the pokemon first aid kit second. "Feel free to get some revives out for Judge, Executioner, and Jury out of the pokemon first aid kit. " Selene began as she went through the first aid kit for humans. She found a single dose of Advil. She took it and washed it down with her water. Selene looked to see what time it was so she could keep up with how long it been since she took the Advil later on. ᴘƖєαѕє ɗᴏη'ᴛ Ɩєαᴠє ຕє ᴛʜɪѕ ωαу....🌹 Selene almost lost her grip on the first aid box after his reaction to her revealing to him that she was a ranger. "Yes, why must that be strange to almost everyone I know since I became one? It shouldn't be that much of a surprise. My parents run the nature preserve over there on Exeggutor Island and I helped with that in the past too. I have seen the pokemons that the Rangers that have brought to my parents to care for on their small farm after being rescued from the poachers, hunters, Team Rocket, and or any other groups similar to them. Plus after Team Rocket harassed me and trying to steal my pokemon as well while I was in Kalos... It motivated me to become a Pokemon Ranger to help others . Why is that it hard for other others besides my family, Estelle and Elio to understand that I want to help protect pokemon and people out here? " She asked with a exasperated look on her face as she hated it when people thought that she wasn't up for this job. She loved it and was more for-filling to her than being Kalos Queen.
"Honestly, I wasn't planning to stay in the spotlight forever as Kalos Queen and I didn't want to be an idol afterwards whether I had lost to someone else or stepping down as queen. If I had stay the queen for another year, I would be stepping down this season. I would have been past ready to get back home here full time. I have enjoyed having more free time to myself that I didn't have as Kalos Queen." She said, thinking how this injury will set her back in her violin lessons.
"How did you know that there was a ranger nearby?" She asked him, still finding his statement about it being strange. Yet, the whole thing of him wanting her to think of him being dead would make since if he had somehow gotten involved with one of the villain groups......'No, I can't think about that. He couldn't, he wouldn't...'Selene thought as she looked through the kit for a compression bandage since she didn't find an icy hot patch.

ᴘƖєαѕє ɗᴏη'ᴛ Ɩєαᴠє ຕє ᴛʜɪѕ ωαу....🌹 Selene chuckled at his mentioning of Ol' Ranger Beall and her doubts were washed away. "Yeah... I remember watching her running you out of there several times. Then she would come back and chase me out if I hadn't already left. Gihee," Selene admitted to Sly as she hadn't told him that before. She wondered if Sly had known that she would watch him train there. "If it hadn't been for her backing me up when I applied for the Ranger job, I wouldn't have it. I'm sure of that and thankful that she backed me up. I was planning to check out getting a job at the Aether Foundation if I hadn't gotten the job here." She said as she realized that there wasn't a compression bandage left in her kit..
"Damn... I don't have the icy hot patches or a compression bandage left in the kit. If Pancham hadn't picked up your scent when he did, I would have been refilling the first aid kit first thing at the office." She said, then realized how that might came off. "That's what I usually do when I first get to the office each day. I'm not blaming you for not having what I need." Selene felt that she needed to clarify that to him considering what happened while they were battling earlier.
"Today is a Tuesday so Dr. Zemaitis will be visiting the island. I should head towards the pokemon center as that's where he sets up his mini clinic.He'll have what I need to help my wrist. Need to go there anyways to heal up the rest of my pokemon as well." She said as she closed up the human first aid kit and put it away.
Then she got a Max Revive out for Amalthea as she was planning to ride on her to get to the Sea Folk Village where the pokemon center was. Selene let her out and gave her the Max Revive after getting off of Cœur D'or. "Time to return Cœur D'or and thanks again for your hard work today." She said before seeing Cœur D'or looking at Judge with warm smile before returning to her poke ball. Selene smiled at that as it seems that her pokemon was interested in Judge without the use of an Attract move.
Selene looked back at Sly before picking up the pokemon first aid kit to put back into her backpack. "Need anything else from the pokemon first aid kit before I put it up?" She asked Sly, wondering if he would want some potions to finish up healing his three pokemons or go to the pokemon center to do so. A part of her wanted him to come with her to the pokemon center so they would have more time together..

Then she got the bridle out of to use with Amalthea as she was planning to ride her to the Seafolk Village. The bridle didn't have the mouth bit as she thought those were cruel to use. It was as she was putting the bridle on Amaltha when she realized that he had said we. Selene was shocked as she was had expected to part ways here even thought she had hoped for him to with her a ways to the village. There was a slight blush on her face due to that as she put on her backpack. "Alright, let's head that way." Selene said as she got on Amalthea's back and then had her to begin to head out.
