Ana woke up. She saw Gandalf back in his cage, and there was a letter on her bed. It was from Mum and Dad! They had taken turns. She saw Mum's great calligraphy and Dad's sloppy scrawl.
Dearest Ana,
How are you darling? We heard you got into Ravenclaw! That's wonderful! We're so proud of you! Your father and I were in Ravenclaw, too. Of course, we'd have been proud of you no matter what.
So, did you meet any nice boys yet?
Ignore your father honey.
Okay! I was kidding! Well, have you made any friends? Write back soon!

Uh..not like I care, but you kinda "stole" or "took" this idea....normally I'd be able to take this as a freaky coincidence....but.... 4:27 pm Sira sat at the ravenclaw table, which she had to her self, and spread some marmalade over a piece of toast. "I wonder if my parents-" A large, snowy owl swooped down on her and dropped a thick look letter on her lap. "Thanks Laksha!" she said to her family owl. "Here have a bit of toast" she murmured. "You desereve a break...now let me read my parents letter" She opened it up to see that her mum and dad had both writen some. She recognized her mom's flowing, wavy, nice, handwriting, and her fathers's big scribble. Dear Sira, I am so happy to here that you got accepted into ravenclaw! It was my house after all! Yes....your house. My house was gryfindor....oh well, I alawys thought that you were equally smart and kind hearted.... Ah yes....I remember. We were from two different houses....but nothing stopped us from falling in love. Enough about us....it sounds like you got a good dorm eh? How's Raj? Yes, how is he taking the new diet? ((Sorry, but I always do this when I write stories, but I'm usually using a word processor and I use different fonts. But sorry! Ana was going to get a letter anyway, beacause Gandalf went back to her house. That is a bit weird...))
Ana got out her quill and her green ink and wrote back to her parents:
Dear Mum and Dad,
Yeah, I am in Ravenclaw. It's pretty cool. I was hoping I'd Ravenclaw, but I wouldn't have minded Gryffindor either. But Ravenclaw is awesome!
No dad, I met a boy from Slytherin but he turned out to be a total idiot. xp
But I do have a friend! Her name is Sira and she's really nice! She has a cat named Raja, and he's pretty cute!
Well, I can't wait to hear from you guys! Classes start on September 1st, so wish me luck! Love you lots!

"Okay, Gandalf, sending you back to Mum and Dad's house!" Ana said brightly to Gandalf, who hooted angrily. "I know! It's soon!" she said as she tied the parchment to his leg. "But here's a treat, and if you want you can hunt on the way back. Now go!" Ana sounded forceful, but Gandalf knew she wasn't being mean and flew off. Now where was Sira?

Ana walked into her dorm. It really was nice out on the grounds! she thought. Then she sat down on her bed to read the letter.
Dear Ana,
Have your classes started yet? I don't think there are any teachers from when your mum and I were there, are there? It's a shame, except that you probably don't have Snape for potions. Oh, and hopefully there's a more interesting History of Magic teacher. Nobody ever learned much but listening to Professor Binns' endless droning.
Sira sounds very nice! I hope you make some more friends, too. Gandalf seems fine. You have been letting him hunt, right? Well, just to warn you, classes might not start on the first. The teachers often like to have a few extra days to prepare.

*crys* I can't write letters! Naomi's parents were killed, much to her dismay(sarcasm) She would have killed them herself.....

Ana got out some purple ink this time, and began to write.
Dear Mum and Dad,
No, I don't think we have any of the same teachers. I've heard things about some of them though, including the new potions master. She can't be much better than Snape...
I have another friend too. (Well, I think she's my friend.) Her name is Jade, and she's a 7th year. She's really nice. Gandalf is out hunting right now, don't worry.
And I think potions starts today, so that's actually on time! I hear that the charms professor probably won't start for a little while. Some weird mixup about time zones...really bizzare. I mean, Hogwarts can't be so big that it's on two different time zones! Oh well...

Sira lay awake in her bed, Raj snuggled closely against her. She gazed above her and saw vague shadows of various objects. Her window was wide open, and a light breeze took the curtains back and forth. She sighed, and looked over at her clock. It was five past eleven. Sira slipped out of her pajamas and into some fresh robes.
"I guess I'll go check out a book from the library...." she muttered to herself, hoping it would be open.

Sira arrived, back from the library, happy she hadn't been caught. Sweat trickled down her cheek and back. She let the four books tip on to her bed. she examined them all carefully.
"Ok, lets see....heres Ancient Runes Made Easy, Beating the Bludgers--A Study of Defensive Strategies in Quidditch, Curses and Counter-curses and....wait a sec....where's Achievement in Charming?" she asked, her hands grasped around a very thick, leather bound book. There was no title on the cover nor spine.
"Shoot...I must have switched these two books when I dropped the other....dang it. Well, its to late to go back now" she sighed, her eyes glancing at the clock. "I guess I'll...just....go...tomor-"
She stretched back on her bed and instantly fell asleep.

((I forgot that Ana was in here....I think she's in here...oh well! If she isn't, she is now! By the way, when is the common room going to be done? No rush though!))
Ana saw Sira sleeping on her bed, and then realized the time. I ought to be in bed too! she thought. But she wasn't sleepy, so she sat down by her trunk and looked through it. She found Complex Quidditch Moves, which she opened. She flipped to page 70, which was all moves for chasers. She couldn't wait until Quidditch started, because she was almost positive that she would be one of Ravenclaw's chasers. She had a Shooting Star 3000, the fastest broom so far. Mum and Dad had given it to her as a going away present. It had some very nteresting moves for dodging bludgers and the other team; ways to get the Quaffle past the keeper; ways to communicate with your team without the other team figuring out what you're saying; and best of all, she was the only one in the world who had the book! Of course, she would give all of the other Ravenclaw players a copy once the team was chosen, and she planned to give Sira a copy as soon as she woke up. She saw Beating the Bludgers--A Study of Defensive Strategies in Quidditch on her bed, so she figured she'd want one. Jade might want one too, so she'd probably give her a copy, but that was it. They were the only ones she could trust so far. She stood up and flopped on her bed to read some more.
