Shiarka Jonless Hey, One Piece is on Toonami, not [adult swim]. And yes, 4Kids is worse than Funimation. (Although Funi did a fairly decent job with FMA) You may not be aware, but 4Kids managed to butcher Pokemon.(they totally denied us the seizure enducing episode) I'm pretty sure that the seizure episode was a different anime and got misreported as a Pokemon episode. But I could be wrong...I didn't really look into it much. One of my friends gets like the Japanese version of everything. So I just watch it with him. Watching the US version get butchered and voices mangulated is like so bad. Yes, mangulated.

Hi borobdin, borobdin I'm pretty sure that the seizure episode was a different anime and got misreported as a Pokemon episode. But I could be wrong...I didn't really look into it much. Nope, it really was Pokemon. There's a whole webpage about this urban legend here.Sonia 3nodding

slai Hi Shiarka and DrunkenStyle, You're in luck then if you don't like 4Kids' version of Pokemon! 4Kids LOST the rights for Pokemon. Now, Pokemon USA has the rights and is planning on re-casting the English dub. I'll miss Eric Stuart as Brock and James though cry ! Actually, Nelvana was the company that $*#)!*$ Card Captor Sakura into Cardcaptors sweatdrop . Zatch Bell is being handled by Viz Media. Sonia sweatdrop Ohh. Either way, American media sucks when it comes to dubbing for children. It's impossible to turn an anime into a Barney episode, but somehow they managed. :/ I hope Pokemon USA doesn't dub dumb crap like calling an onigiri 32908345 different food types. XD

Supposedly, Pokemon USA is just the U.S. branch of the Pokemon company in Japan. Toei didn't do such a wonderful job when it released the English dubbed version of Sailor Moon S and Sailor Moon SuperS by themselves. Toei didn't skip any episodes, unlike DIC, but they still had to make 'changes' in order to get it aired here (i.e. Haruka/Sailor Uranus and Michiru/Sailor Neptune became 'close' cousins plus a bunch of other mistaken gender incidents were re-written). Luckily, they released the episodes in subbed form for the DVD!

Didn't WGN news show the clip from the Japanese version which caused 6 Chicago area kids to have seizures too? eek sweatdrop *goes to dig up info* edit: Fox News aired it, along with an interview of Mike Lazzo, the VP of programming for Cartoon Network. Quote: Japanese animation is so different from what airs here. It's far edgier, more adult and violent. Anime isn't very story based and is driven by intense moments. The story is hard to follow. For the record DBZ, Sailor Moon, Speed Racer, Voltron, and a few others, were airing on CN rolleyes

Those new Pokémon episodes with the new voice actors are really hard to get used to. Brock sounds nothing like Stuart. The guy doing James now is okay, but still not in the same league as Stuart.
