Bio: I'm a Californian, and even though I have somewhat conservative fiscal views, I put human rights way, way above the economy, hence my alignment with the Democrats. I raise ducks, rave, and work as an intern in a microbiology research lab.
Why you joined: The invite looked promising. This looks like a good place to practice for the real world where I'll have to defend my rather unorthodox views.

Bio: I am the first Democrat in my family. Ever. My parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc, have all been Republicans, and huge supporters at that. When I was 13, I began to realize that I cared about politics--a lot--and that my beliefs and opinions were radically different from my families. I'm planning on majoring in political science in college, and I'll see where things go from here.
Why you joined: I like being able to talk to people (and aruge) about politics when they're being intelligent about it.
