13 had of course heard such things as the corruption had overtaken kumogakure, but she was a young child and didn’t fully understand the implications of this. That she wouldn’t hear from anyone soon was news to her. For a moment fear washed over her. This was exactly what she had been beginning to think, beginning, but not allowing herself to examine such a thought. But now that Yuno had said it out loud…
13 looked fiercely into Yuno’s eyes and said with the same calm voice, “No. They said there would be more orders. They will take me away soon.”
She watched silently as Kini confronted the stranger and was stopped by Yuno. Then, Yuno smiled at her and held out her hand.
============================Flashback=============================
Everything was black. She remembered the blackness and the voices. There were two sets of voices.
“This is a fine one I picked up a few weeks ago. She has a unique ability that our organization could use.” The first voice said. 13 remembered the fear she had had then of this first voice.
“Where’d you find her?” Riku replied
“ Took her from her from this empty house. Easy enough.”
“Then… how did you get that injury?” Riku said
“Huh, I… don’t remember. But that’s the ability of her I was talking about! It screws with your mind. I can’t remember what I forgot!”b]
“So what have you done with her so far?”
“Just the basic breaking down.”
“We have to make sure she isn’t connected to anyone who matters of it could come to bite us.”

A ray of light suddenly was seen, blinding her, until Riku’s face came into focus. He was looking down into the darkness at her. It seemed he’d slid off some kind of lid to her container.
“Hello there. I’m not going to hurt you. Can you tell me who your parents are?”
Riku’s face moved from side the side from her frame of reference as the girl shook her head.
”Its okay if you don’t remember. I’ll take care you from now on.“ He smiled and held out his hand to her.

13 took Yuno’s hand, wrapping her fingers around Yuno’s finger tips tightly as she stared up into Yuno’s eyes. She nodded sharply when Yuno asked about taking her someplace else.
