She let it go, at least in front of him. "I will have an errand to run tomorrow, but you can do as you please here or in the greenhouse while I am out. The servants can obtain anything you need, but for your safety you should stay on the property." The black of the amulet indicated that she most defiantly was not pleased with the information and with her power, she probably intended to do something about it. But she wouldn't burden him with that. But she did wish she could erase his scars, too bad she couldn't. Her magic was effective at certain spells. Her speciality was earth based magics, but that didn't mean she wasn't capable of performing other types of magic. She was awful with water based spells, but she had some skill with dark and fire magic. Light magic was hard to use if you had a temper, like she did, so she usually stuck to the other three, but there was a clear winner when it came to what she was strongest in. But that was because both her parents had specialized in that as well. It was a genetic trait. Her fire magic was getting better and better, and she was working hard to increase her dark spells, because she felt that a better understanding of them was necessary for protection, but she did not even know a tenth of what a dark witch would. But she could turn a guy into a rock. Basic level dark magic. Child's play.
"I have midwives that will be moving in within a couple weeks. They will be handling the delivery. They are fairies." It had been that or elves, but the fairies had been more willing to do it. They loved children. Elves of certain varieties could be kind of a pain to negotiate with. "We will need to put weight back on you. " She said, then and rather suddenly. She wouldn't have him looking so frail. "As for our daughter, everything is place for Nova." She'd decided on the name he suggested. "I have clothes picked out and toys, and the spells for protection. But I haven't finished the mobile yet. I'm making it out of crystals. Like mine was." It reflected light beautifully.

Jax nodded though he didn't like hearing he should stay here, but he knew she knew best. he walked over to the crib and ran his hand on it, he stayed there staring at it, he felt like with the nursery pretty much done he was sort of useless for now. He had always thought he would make something for his child if ever got the chance to have children. A crib like this didn't sit well with him, he may have been given up as a child but it was in his blood to make a crib or bed for the first born, it was always done in the gypsy camp. "i think im going to go take a walk." he said in a rather flat tone before he walked out of the room and pushed his sleeves down over his arms. The overall feeling of the room was uneasy too when he noticed her amulet color. he walked down the stares and out the door into the open world, he took a deep breath cherishing the fresh air.
He slid his hands into his pockets and just sort of started to wonder the property, getting familiar with it once more. He walked around the house then to the green house he didn't go in but looked at it before passing it by too, and walked to the stables. For being what most assumed he was, a human, he had a way with animals like he understood them, and knew their thoughts. After making his way threw the stable he stood at the edge of the drive way before it took to the road and looked over everything. He was lost in all his thoughts, Elena finding him, telling him he was going to have a kid, missing most of the pregnancy, and now being here, and having to live with knowing his daughter could be caught and sent to where he was sent to live the life as a pet.

Elena noticed his discomfort and watched him leave, but she really didn't know what she could possibly do about it. They were from two different worlds, something she'd always be aware of. He was a slave and she was free. She knew what she was, and he was only partially aware. And she'd had time to prepare and accept the child, he had just found out. So she left him be as she finished up in the nursery then went down to the study on the first floor where she had the things laid out for the mobile. The crystals were all in their natural shapes, but she had to string them and hang them. If she were more of a homemaker, perhaps she would have made her child a blanket, but she wasn't the type. She didn't sew. Nor could she have made the crib. What she could build out of hand was limited. "Oh, I nearly forgot." She left the room to call out to one of the maids. "Fetch the antique mirror and hang it in the nursery Maggie." She'd nearly forgotten! It was an old mirror, but beautiful.
She finished up and went to hang the mobile as well, before going down to the greenhouse to check over some of the plants. Being a witch, she took pride in her plants. But of course she also wanted to find Jax. "Jax?" She called out. She wasn't sure if she would find him there, but it was her first stop to check. When she didn't find him there, she went to check outside and saw, from where she stood, him standing in the distance at the edge of the driveway. "Jax?" She called out, not really wanting to walk the distance. Instead she stood there, slightly leaning on the edge of the doorway. Her hair had fallen loose from the ponytail she'd pulled it up into earlier when she'd been working in the nursery. "Dinner's ready."

Hearing something he turned a little bit, then he heard his name once more but closer and he turned all the way around and looked at Elena, she may have been tired and felt like a mess but she was beautiful no matter what to him. Jax nodded and walked up to the door where she stood. He paused next to her with his head tilted and just looked at her, slowly he pushed some hair from her face behind her ear and gave her one of those famous heart melting smiles before he walked inside.
"Alright what is for dinner tonight, anything is better than the weird grey brown block iv been eating." he said trying to make light of his time at the warehouse. "Do you need anything else done in the nursery?" he asked a little shyly, he knew she was one to get things done as soon as she possibly could but he had hope that there was something he could do, even if it was small. "You know im could at crafting things, isnt that why you bought me the first time?" he said jokingly to her

She nodded. "Its a vegetable soup tonight, with homemade bread and then lavender pudding for dessert" Her cook was awesome. She went to the dinning room and took her seat, motioning for Jax to take the seat to her right. She waited as the food was brought and she thought over his question. There were a couple things she'd been considering doing, but had been things she couldn't do for one reason or another. "i wanted to paint a meadow on the wall behind the crib, but the doctor said during my last appointment that I am not allowed near paint anymore. And I wanted to make a rocking horse, but I cant make things." She'd seen one whilst in the town the other day, but all the handmade ones were so much cuter. She'd made a mental note to buy one, but had gotten distracted by her search for Jax. But yes, she'd bought him for that talent initially, because when she'd bought him she had just bought the house. The house had needed a bit of work here and there and a few improvements so she had wanted someone capable of making those improvements while she was at work or traveling. She was certainly no handyman.

"Well now i have something to pass the time with tomorrow while your out." he said and started to eat, trying not to shove it all down his throat at once, i mean he was starving and the food smelled amazing, having a home cooked meal was one of the greatest feelings. "Your cook is amazing oh my god i forgot how good this food tasted." he said with is mouth sort of full. manors was never one of his strong suits but you couldn't blame a man who was brought up in a cage. "I'll get started on the painting when you leave tomorrow so by the time you come home the house wont smell like paint." he wasn't sure what was safe for her and what wasnt but paint fumes probably wasn't the best for her right now.
"I know for a fact im going to sleep so well tonight, first sleep on a bed in a while." he had finished his bowl of soup and one of the servants refilled it he could have eaten the whole thing if it wasn't for the bread.

She watched him eat, completely unphased by his lack of manners. She'd never minded it. She simply ate her soup and bread, then her dessert when it was brought. She finished before he did, but ensured that everything he wanted was brought to him, as well as herbs to settle his stomach in case he suffered effects from eating so quickly. "The paints you need will be in the garage, and the brushes as well. Any wood you need will be in the shed near the stables. I should be back soon. The driver and two guards will be with me, but everyone else will be here. Oh and an account has been opened in your name, so you have access to any money you may need for anything." He was her consort in any and every manner so he had everything he needed. But many slaves became consorts. Consorts could come and go, they could be considered favorites. But she did not practice that. He was her one and only. She adored him and favored him above all others. He even had some privileges this time around that he hadn't had before. "If you see any staff from this point on speaking negatively about the child you are to dismiss them on sight, of course." She wont have anyone around who is a threat to the child. She wont allow it. And he is to have the authority to protect the child. Anyone who disagrees with that can take it up with her. She will happily remind them who is in charge here.

"What do you need to go out for tomorrow?" he asked curiously he just wanted to know where she was in case something happened, he was being his usual self and worrying about here when he knew she had guards, and she could indeed take care of herself. "Will i ever get to leave the home? like go to town with you or do i have to stay here at all times?" he didn't want to feel like a prisoner again, just in a nicer cage, he did enjoy going into town, he had once been owned by a man who made use of some of his other talents and let him be a street performer while the man ran errands. "Why would the staff speak negatively of the child?" he didn't fully understand why people would not like the child he didn't understand how being a half blood would effect a child like his, being half witch and what ever he was. "Its not like shes half human like me." he said having a feeling she wouldn't get his human side but would get his non-human side.

"I have to go follow through on a promise." She said with a smile. "Of course you may leave, If I am with you to protect you, or once we know what you are and are assured that we can protect you. But the world is cruel and I wont have the father of my child in danger." It was too great a risk. She stood up slowly, and pushed her chair in. "In fact, once the child is born and she and I are both able we will all take a trip into town to pick out her amulet. Its impossible to pick it out beforehand, because we can't know what powers she will pick up from your nonhuman side." A witch most likely inherits whatever her mother and father specialize in, but there is always the chance she wont. So it is best to let her pick her own amulet out. But it is needed to help her train with her powers as she ages. It is a right of passage and a great joy for parents. "It will be a great milestone for us, in her birth." She explained. For a witch it was a great occasion. If her coven accepts her, it would something they would throw a party over. But there was now way to know if the coven would accept the child.
"Some truly despise mixed breeds of any kind. Until we know what your other side is, or until she is born there is a chance she will be thought of as inferior. Just because she is my daughter...will not matter. She is the daughter of a slave. in some places, she would immediately be taken into slavery. In fact, if my father were here, he would immediately sell her. Ive gone through great lengths not to inform my family of the pregnancy." Or tell them who the father is. She's kept everything in the dark. It was why she used glamour in the marketplace. She had to do what was necessary. Her parents would be infuriated. She'd broken rules numerous times, but this was a big one.
"Well, at least you're not a full human. That does change things." She further explained.

He sat listening to her, he was more attentive as he wanted to understand and nodded in response. "Slave, sometimes i forget that's what i am." he said and stood up from the table himself and pushed his chair in. "I forget the world hasn't changed much from when i was born, from the time i was raised." it did hurt a little she had to keep things a secret , that her father actions would be to sell her off, that thought mad him angry how ever something that was not common with Jax, anger. Jax twitched a little and gripped the chair a bit more aggressively, as he thought about how a man could just sell off a child like.
"excuse me." he said before he walked past her and out the front door. Hand impressions were left on the chair, maybe that could lead them a little closer to find out what Jax's other half was. Jax stood out in the darkening night in the cool air. He eventually plopped himself down on the ground and then laid down looking up at the sky, the clear starry sky something he missed so much as well.

She wanted to say something he he left before she could. But once he was gone she frowned to see what he left behind. She went to the chair and touched the impressions, and was shocked that there was a sort of energy to them that was dark in nature. It certainly wasn't light. It gave her a place to start. But , more so than that, she realized how troubled she was about this. So she followed him and she walked up to him and kneeled down on the ground , a bit sad about it all. It was unfortunate, that this was how the world was. "I'm sorry Jax." She said softly. It was cruel, it truly was. She didn't want to admit that that was how her family was. There was a reason she'd chosen to part from them years ago, and why she'd spent this time alone, even though a pregnancy was something she should have been rejoicing about and sharing with everyone. She'd had to keep it to herself. She had no friends to throw her a baby shower or be joyful to her. In fact it was only he who showed any joy at all. It was why she had panicked so much at the news. It was frightening for her.
She reached towards him, placing her fingers on his arm. "What if I told you there was a way to give you your freedom permanently? " She said. Sure, you could free a slave, but that was just a word. At any point that master could sell them right back. But there were ways to prevent that. To make it so that was not an option. "If we can find out what you are, besides human, I can present you to my coven, as my consort formally. And ask for permission to have a hand fasting. And for our child to be recognized. With you as the father. But this would only work if we could identify what you are. And it would only work if you are something that is respected, powerful, or feared. But if this happens, we would be a formally recognized couple with an entire coven behind us of powerful people. And you would be a slave no longer and our daughter would have two parents." And a life of her own. But it was all so dependent on one thing or another. And it was very risky. It was why she hadn't suggested it before. But she was putting it on the table now. She withdrew her hands and pulled her knees up to her belly, looking up at the sky. She was afraid, though she hated to admit it. She was afraid for him and for their baby.

Jax sat up fairly quickly "Did you just say i could be free?! How does that even work, i mean how would i find out what my other half is? I dont know if my mother was nonhuman or my father. I'll do what ever i have to to find out my other half if it mean i can be free and that life would be safe." Jax upon hearing this,that he could be free was so excited he was sure that the coven would accept him, he was probably more sure about this the Elena was.
"Its getting late i think you should go and rest your body needs it." and on the turn of a dime, ADD Jax had changed the subject maybe it was is other half the conflicted with his human side, but at some points it seemed he had different personalities or that certain things would catch his attention more than others. "Im going to go start on making that rocking horse i think that painting will take up my whole day tomorrow." he said as he stood up and held out his hand to help her up.

As much as she hated to admit it, she needed the help getting up.She accepted the hand he offered and with effort got up, still unused to her ever increasing weight. "You're probably right. Im always so tired." Even when she did nothing! It was aggravating. But she admitted defeat. So she went inside and upstairs to her bathroom, taking a shower before changing into a nightgown to head to bed. The lights in her room were turned off and everyone knew to be quiet or as silent as possible. One guard stood directly outside her door as well, for added security. Jax was the only one allowed to come and go into her room as he pleased. And the guards didn't look like they approved of that, good thing it wasnt their choice.
(O.O.C:Sorry its short. We have tornado warnings and storms going off here so Im not sure how much I will be responding. Plus I have to get up early tomorrow. )

Hope_Mercy_Rose OOC: its ok and i hope you stay safe, i live on the west coast we dont have that problem. im also so impatient with trying to find other masters or slaves to rp with i have a new slave now but no one is active anymore or i at least cant find any one active. ☽Jax☾
Jax watched her as he helped her up she seemed a little wobbly with the added weight and it made him chuckle a little to himself. He followed her inside and paused at the top of the stairs and watched her walk to her bathroom before he headed back down stairs and outside to gather some wood from near by trees, and some planks he found laying around from old house work he did. He had grabbed an old rusty pair of shears and broke them in half to use one side to crave out details in the wood then headed back inside to his room.
Jax closed his door behind him and set all the things on the floor and looked at them like a proud boy at what he found in the yard then sat down and got started on the racking horse he said he would make for his child.

A rocking horse was a classic toy that most children adored for a good number of years. It was sturdy and help up well for decades and was easily passed down from child to child and even from one generation to the next. So of course she was eager to have one for her first born. Granted, she really wasn't thinking about having another child at this point. This first child was a journey all in of its own, and a dangerous challenge. At every turn she was finding more threats and worries. Each morning she thought she would wake and find an army at her door coming to take her daughter. She barely slept through a night, but with Jax here at least one worry was done. She'd gotten Jax back and about that she was thrilled. So perhaps for once she could attempt to sleep soundly.
She fell asleep and only woke up once or twice. That was much better than usually and a record compared to usual. She woke up around ten or so and got dressed, using her amulet to concoct a glamour. She left her hair down and immediately left the house to go take care of her errand. What she really went to go do was raise hell about Jax's injuries of course. She was going to go curse some folks. But no need to involve him in all that.
