Thorne blinked owlishly at her and gave a lenient shrug, as though she were a peon in his court and he was granting her an audience if only to mock her to an invisible crowd. His smile was vast and frozen to his face.
Violence trembled at the edge of his fingertips.
"Then try and drag him out if you want. Listen to him scream. Do you know what happens when you try to take people from her?" He clicked his tongue. "They die. After a few months of schedules, of every part of your world painted out for you... well, it will be an impossible task, but I wish you luck."
He shrugged at the question and crossed his arms.
"What do you do when you're not at work? You think monsters only live here? You think you aren't a monster too?" He chuckled. "You already saw your crime in that room, Leila. At least I do not mind the sins on my hands."
