Max kept a clear mind, doing as little damage as he could with the knife as he was fighting the demons. He was outnumbered clearly yet they were slower now and he could easily manage to doge and keep them off. Taking a breath he started to speak Exorcizamus te, omnis immundus spiritus, omnis satanica potestas, omnis incursio infernalis adversarii, omnis congregatio et secta diabolica., he stopped midway looking around and feling a wetness on his face, seeing the demons falling back he spoke louder Ergo, draco maledicte. Ecclesiam tuam securi tibi facias libertate servire, te rogamus, audi nos.Finishing the exorcism he turned looking up to Candy and Charles, shoving the knife in his pocket he ran to the stairs and jumped up three at a time "Come on, I need to get you two out" He said almost halfway to the top.

Candy and Charles watched from the second floor, Candy hopped that Max would be alright as she could not take her eyes off him. Just like when she was 12 she would watch Max making sure nothing bad happened to him. Once the exorcism was over and the demons were sent back to hell Candy let out a sigh and she quickly ran to the top of the steps where Max was running up to. She wanted to leap into his arms like she did when she was 12 but right now was not the time for that. "What is going on!? What were those things!?"

Making it to the top Max was breathing heavily and leaned on the railing. "Those Charles were things that wanted to kill you and only want to bring destruction and death. You probably know them as demon's. Now I have spent my life doing what I can to keep them from causing a lot of harm, and with them after you and your fiance I have to take you two away from here, and to a safe house. Here isn't safe and yes I sound crazy but water and words nearly killed those people so are you willing to follow me or will I have to carry you?". Max looked at Charles almost looking irritated wanting to get Candy out of there and to his car so he could take her to a new place that was safe again. Although he knew it wouldnt be like that again, he had to take them both and get to another hunters house where they would be safe for a short time till he managed to get word around of what happened and info on where to take the two.

"Demons!? You have to be kidding me!" Charles said as he fixed his glasses. "You will not carry me! I can walk by self thank you very much. Felicity." Charles took Candy's hand and started walking down the stairs. "Well come on and keep us safe! That is what you are being paid for." Candy allowed Charles to drag her along but she looked back at Max with the same worried eyes she had when she was 12 after Max fought something to keep her safe.

Max looked at them, focusing on Candy for a moment and smiled at her confidently for a moment. He knew that look well and although he couldnt mess with her hair he did try to calm her with the smile. Walking down the stairs he hurried the two through the crowded area and outside, walking to a 2014 pontiac solstice he opened the door. "It isn't my car so dont laugh at it. The hunter who lets me use it loves her baby" he said as the two got in and he Hurried in and started the car. It was easy to get on the road although he hoped for now the night would be calmer.

Candy notice Max soft smile and a slight blush came onto her face. She turned her head away a little so he wouldn't see her blush. They hurried to the car and Charles stopped for a moment as he saw the car Max was driving. "It's going to be a tight fit seeing its a two seater. You better be a good driver." Charles said before he opened the car door and got in before he pulled Candy in and sat her on his lap. Candy did not like being in close contact with people and anyone knew Candy would know this. The only person she would let get so close to her to touch was her parents and Max.

"I kill demons and the monsters from you nightmare's. I can manage a car" Max said as he pulled out of the drive way casting an uneasy loo to Candy seeing she was in Charles lap. He remembered she didnt like getting touched a lot although they were to marry and he didnt know how much she had changed in the time the two spent apart. Though he quickly turned his attention back to the road as he pushed the speed a bit to get there quick yet not enough to really get a ticket for speeding.

"Just checking seeing our lives are in your hand." Charles said as he wrapped his arms around Candy as a seat belt for her. "He can drive, just let him do his job." Candy said as she was uncomfortable how she had to sit in this car, if she could she would of sat on Max's lap but she knew very well that was not going to happen. Charles had always tried wrapping a arm around her in some way before but Candy would always pull back but there was no escaping this time around. She had always been like this, not liking being touched in any way really. She could just handle hand holding but just barley. "Where are you taking us? My mother has to know where we are."

"Ill call her and tell here where we are when we get there. It a hunters house so it's safe there." Mx said glancing at the with a slight frown. "Its a bit far but I promise you two will be safe at the house, and the home owner isnt to harsh on girls" Max said directing it to Candy to try and calm her a bit see she wasn't to happy where she was, he knew though once they arrived the touching between her and Charles would be limited to as little as it could be. He also figured that Candy would be taking over his bed and Charles would have to deal with Max in the living room for them to sleep. If Max even would, he had to keep an eye on Candy again and keep looking for anything that would come to try and hurt her just like before.

As Max spoke Candy listen to him and his soothing voice calmed her down a little. She turned her head to look at Max, having so many things going threw her mind. She had so many things she wanted to ask him but she would ask when they had a moment alone. She didn't want to talk to him with Charles around because she knew he would have to know everything about them. "Felicity dear are you alright? Where in gods earth did you get those bombs and why did you have them?" Charles asked as he took a sniff of her hair. "My you smell lovely." She chuckled a little. "I made them..." That is all she said and she did not say anything more on the drive. She just wanted to get out of this car and be out of human reach.

Max couldnt help but smile as she said she made them, hearing that she kept that skill helped him relax a little. She knew to keep herself safe at least and he was glad she had remembered that. Before much longer though they pulled up to a seeming farm house. Simple and had a small porch with a railing, on the railing was a woman with red unruly hair. She looked at the car with confusion "Hey Max I said no chick's, I dont care If yo have their man with them. What up with this?" she asked hopping from the railing and walked over.

When they made it to the farm house Charles looked confused as if he never saw a farm before, or at lest like this one. The moment the car stopped Candy opened the door and got out of the car. She looked up at the woman with red hair as she spoke. She was a little worried that she wouldn't be as welcomed here but she didn't say anything. Charles got out of the cat, stepping in mud which lead to a groan. "Oh great, my shoes are covered in farm filth." He muttered as he shut the door and looked up at the woman. "And she own's this car? I am surprised she has the money for it."

"He's staying in the shed" The girl said pointing to Charles "He is not allowed in this house, let the rats have him" she snipped as Max walked over and messed with her hair making her punch him. Grinning he held the spot she hit "Calm now? Good, the girl is the kid I cared for before. The guy's supposed to marry here so he got dragged along. For now get them in and ill deal with Charles. You get Her settled and then we can talk.". Max rubbed the sore spot as the woman glared at him but turned to Candy and motioned her to follow inside.

"I-In the shed!? Do you have any idea who you are talking to!?" Charles said as he fixed his glasses while looking at the red haired woman. Candy watched quietly as the red head and Max talked. She wanted to know the story between these two and what they were to each other. She was sure she would find out sooner or later. As the Red hair woman motioned her over Candy lifted up her gown slightly so she could walk towards her. "Thank you for having us." She said a bit quiet as Charles started to follow behind, looking at the ground to make sure he didn't step in anything.
