Xeno Freaks is composed of several minigames/features:
- XenoKomi: Choose your own adventure type 2d adventure (kind of the way most dating sims look/work)
- XenoPittan: An XS version of thier cross-word type puzzle game.
- XS Database: An extensive database of events from episode 1, including some images, movies and sound clips
- XS:E2 Demo: Roughly the first half hour of episode 2
- XS:E2 Trailer: Another trailer

Oh I wish someone would translate XenoKomi! *desperatly wants to play*

Oh and just a bit more on Reloaded in case anyone was confused. It's the Japanese re-release of Episode 1, it has English dialogue (subbed in Japanese with Japanese menus, etc), the English version of the infamous MOMO scene, the bonus outfits for KOS-MOS and MOMO, and a trailer for E2. Oh and there's also a cutscene replay function with reloaded - that's about it though.

Thank goodness they included that cutscene replay action button in Xenosaga II cause I love watching the cutscenes over and over again, now all they need is a Official Final Fantasy X (X-2) Sphere Theater to store the cutscenes in LOL

There's a replay function in E2? O.o I didn't know that *scrambles to mess with pretty Sakura PS2 to try it out*

Ooh and just an update on that Xeno Emission E1 artbook thing that I've been mentioning a bit lately - I ordered it today, but I don't know when I'll get it (I've never ordered through this site before so I'm not even sure if my order was properly recieved yet - hopefully I'll know soon!). When/if I get it I'll try to scan it as best as I can without destroying it (sorry I'm not quite as dedicated a fan as to destroy an artbook just to scan it *huggles small artbook collection*). I might get the Emission Preview book next month when I get some more money, but I've already seen scans of it and I *think* it just has the same stuff as E1 (well it's a preview of E1 so I assume it's just a portion of E1). If I ever get my hands on Freaks I'm determined to capture each event sequence and coerse someone to translate it! *evil laughter*

[EDIT] Yay! I just heard back from the company, my order went through and it should ship on Monday - so hopefully it'll get here by the end of next week! Scans will be up a few days after I get it depending on how many pages it ends up being. ^.^

You said earlier you had teh Kirshwasher transformation >>;;; which is only possible in Xenosaga Reloaded. KOS-MOS just recieves her prototype uniform like thing. Someone said thats what she looked like nekid but thats not true because in XSII You have KOS-MOS' bathing suit that is quite revealing. @_@

And XenoFreaks is just a tribute to Xenosaga, sort of like and afterstory to Xenosaga I, just a funny little side story.

I'm sorry. I thought I had the MOMO's Kirchwasher outfit. I think I was brain dead when I said that. Is XenoFreaks released here or is it Japan only?

That'll be awesome! Some scenes you want to watch again and the only way to see that is to play it again (the game), or you could record it by vcr or dvd if possible. I've recorded a couiple of endings that way. I didn't want to go through hell just to see the ending again.

XenoFreaks is only for Japan, though you can import it like my friend did, but I recommend knowing basic Japanese at least...

Or you can just flounder through it like I did with E2! ^.^ I actually learned a lot of Japanese by struggleing through the game with very minimal knowledge of the language (it's supprisingly fun o.O).
PostPosted: Fri Nov 05, 2004 7:43 pm

XD Did you know that theirs a learning gap in languages? When your 1-11 its easier to learn a language cause some part of your brain kind of takes it in, after 11 it closes, but its still not impossible to learn a language. Being exposed to it everday for a year will land you perfect Japanese, and I'm telling the exact truth.

I went to Okinawa, an island near Japan, still considered a Japanese Island, though really the Okinawan's were their own people. So I went to Okinawa with my Grandmother visiting family, my Grandma is Japanese, her name is Tsuruko, and she's soooo funny... but anyways on to the story.

My Grandmother had brought a close friend of the family with us, he did not know Okinawan or a single word in Japanese! So, we spent the summer there, by the time we got back, he was speaking half the language clearly and wonderfully, both Okinawan and Japanese, I was so surprised.

I was also told that it's true by a director of an exchange program, all the students that go to any country, hardly or do not know the native language at all and they come back speaking it fluently! Such an amazement the human brain is.

Yup! When I was really little I used to go to Germany a lot (my Mom's from Germany) and one time when we were there for about a month (I think I was about 5 or 6, I don't really remember too well but my mother keeps telling me this) I came back and for two weeks I was speaking nearly fluent German! But I'm a lazy bum and I still speak like a 5-year-old, but I understand more than I'd like to speak (I can do the right accent and everything but my grammer's just horrendous so I don't like to speak it). I've been watching anime in Japanese since I was pretty young (9 I think) but I still don't know much of the language - which probably stems from watching with subs on - I've noticed that I don't really listen to the dialogue when I'm reading the subs, but when I don't have subs to look at I really listen to the dialouge. And context helps a lot too - hearing "MOMO" and "Y-data" in the same line give a pretty good clue about what they're talking about, even if you don't know the specifics. I've been trying to find a summer Japanese course, but I there don't seem to be any that are open to High School students in my area V.V (I'm determined to get into Waseda University in Tokyo now, after I found out that they have an international liberal arts college taught primarily in English - they've got some really vigerous Japanese courses too. But they only accept about 100 students a year so I don't have a chance T.T).

Never say you don't have a chance. You have to believe in yourself or you have no chance. If you believe you can do it, then their is a chance. This is true I know it, I used to believe I had no chance of swimming 500 yards for a race, but I did it. And there, I stood a chance against everyone, I'm glad because at districts I at least came in 4th place, I felt proud of myself, and more over my coach was proud of me.

Believe in yourself Shojo-san, many things will happen if you just believe.
Now if you wish to travel to Japan, I recommend finding your nearest Rotary Club, you only have to submit 3200.00 just to go, this covers airfee's, insurance, tickets, all you have to buy is your Visa. And every month they give you an allowance, and just for all of that you get to spend a year in Japan studying. Though it's a rarity occasion the accept anyone over 18, I think you would have to be at the mark of 18 when your going over there.

I truly hope you can go to the University you want to go to, it will be a good experience for you.

Ooh sounds nifty, maybe I'll try to do that over the summer next year. I have been to Tokyo once (this past summer - it was sort of a present form my 16th birthday thata I got to pick where we went for summer vacation ^.^) but it was only 10 days (of course it had to be the week before XS:E2 came out, I spent the whole trip bouncing around looking for XS merchandise XD) and I was sick the last three (T.T I missed going to Harijuku) - but having actually been to the city myself I really want to go back now (especially concidering that all hell is about to break loose here in America *gnaws on her copy of 1984* more people need to read that book).
PostPosted: Sat Nov 06, 2004 8:42 am

I agree about what is going to happen in America, therefore, I've decided that I'm going to go to Japan. I want to escape before a draft happens, and I want to be with Yasu-kun, and everyone I love over in Japan... not only that, ever since the war started, the economy has been so poor, my parents can hardly aford much, but my father is doing his best especially with my mother being sick, but she's trying. And my father was just diagnosed with diabetes, I'm afraid for both of them.

My mother and father gave me decision of where I'm going to go if anything would happen to them, so I decided that when I was 12, I set up a small savings account, that I would go to Japan with the help of my Grandmother, and somehow become a resident of Japan. Now that the hell is about to break loose, I can almost foresee the future, that America will be in the downs, Bush and Kerry are evil men, the whole government is evil...at least I stand a chance in Japan.
