"That's awesome! It looks strong" Lacie admired the pokemon. Due to her excitement, she didn't question the man's ingenuity of being a researcher and accepted the claim.
"ah," Lacie was startled and backed away when the pokemon jumped away and into the researcher's scarf. Now that the pokemon was no longer in view, Lacie stood back up. She faced the researcher once more.
"It's alright. I am the one who should apologize for making a fuss. Sorry about that sylveon," She said, before she introduced herself, " ah yes, I forgot to introduce myself. I am Lacie, Lacie Gazelle. A new trainee at the pweter gym and this is my partner, Mythrill"
"Why not visit the pokemon center for a rest? I can also show the way," Lacie offered though it would mean she won't be able to do any training with magikarp today. She even brought out the fishing net as countermeasure.

 Jeff MarcusTrainer: Sylveon (( Shiny ))Masquerade Marcus smiled to himself in satisfaction, thinking about her partner for a moment before hearing her name. Returning to reality, he looked around before he sighed at her offer. " Yep, he is very strong... in fact he is my only pokemon, I had two others but... " Spoke Marcus with a sad smile, looking around the area for a bit before looking at her. " Anyway... I was hoping to find someone to lead me out of the area safely. If you can take me, I will reward you for your help. "

When Jeff talked about his sylveon, it seemed he was reminded of something he didn't want to, so Lacie didn't say anything. She was grateful that Jeff changed the topic.
" Anyway... I was hoping to find someone to lead me out of the area safely. If you can take me, I will reward you for your help. "
Lacie frowned when she heard Jeff's request. For her to be taken as someone who will work for a reward is insulting. Though she would at least heard him out. "Where to, Doctor?" she asked to prompt Marcus to explain further. She was skeptic about the request the researcher was making as she judged Sylveon was strong enough to fend off wild pokemon. The pokemon was tired at the moment, but all he needed will be to take the pokemon to Pokemon Center. If it's place where even Sylveon won't be able to go trough alone, then it was even less a chance she could. Lacie already mentioned early on that she was a trainee, a new one at that.

Jeff MarcusTrainer: Sylveon (( Shiny ))Masquerade " Maybe the word safely was too much... " Spoke Jeff when he saw her expression change to sour. Did he step on a land mine or something? he didn't know but he was going to have to clear up the misunderstanding. " The entrance to Mt. Moon, A friend of mine has discovered something up there that I need to see. I'll continue the rest of the way from there, healing your pokemon along the way. " Spoke Jeff with an honest smile, in a sense... he was not lying about anything. It was all truth and he really needed to get there, but if anymore proof was needed... Clicking his tongue for Sylveon to awake, Sylveon's head popped out cutely and yawned before scratching. Rubbing his cheek against jeff's, Sylveon licked it like giving him a bath before he jumped down.

Lacie pondered Jeff's word for a moment, her gaze met with Mythrill and the pokemon didn't appear to object. " I am planning to head to that direction myself," Lacie made her choice, her previous annoyance weren't apparent anymore. "...and I don't need the reward. I help, because I want to," she said with finality as she won't let Jeff argued back. "Do we head out now or there's somewhere we want to stop by first?" she asked next, eager to leave. Her acceptance didn't mean she trust him, she merely thought if anything happen, she will know once she came with him.

" Spoke jeff with a smile, he was happy to hear that of her and the eagerness to leave in her voice. was she so eager to do what she wanted to do? or was she trying to trick him? looking at Sylveon before sighing in surrender, he looked back at her and smiled. He was going to admit that this was going to be fun, because he liked to see this himself and how his project worked out. Walking forward, he headed out of town with sylveon behind him.

Lacie joined Jeff and left Pewter City. Being a locale, Lacie took the lead to show Jeff the way. The scenery changed soon after they left the city into rugged, mountain road. It was no longer a pleasant stroll to reach to mount Moon. It's a trekking to get all the way there. Take for example the stairs of natural rocks they would have to go through. It looked more like rock on top of one another that formed a stair. "This way," Lacie directed Jeff. She, herself was wary of the stairs as she carefully made sure the rock won't get loose as she stepped on them. Her pokemon, Mythrill had easier time as she hopped from one rock to another. Difference in their strength and nimbleness was apparent.
Lacie sighed as Mythrill called on them to catch up. "Don't move too quickly," she told the riolu. Not long after she did, something started to move. They had awaken the pokemon that was imitating one of the rock. It was a geodude that was commonly found in the area. The wild pokemon didn't waste time to tackle the startled Mythrill and knocked the pokemon to the edge of the stair. She nearly fell over the stair as a result. "Quick Attack, Mythrill" Lacie issued the command as she became aware of the pokemon's hostility. Her view was obstructed at the moment to get clear grasp of the battle, but she knew enough if Mythrill took another attack, she would fall. Quick attack ensured Mythrill moved from the edge.
While Lacie frantically made her way up, she saw that Geodude had tackled Mythrill again. She was out of breath after she rushed over to Mythrill side and was unable to voice an order as it happened. "Rock Smash," Lacie said after she caught her breath, somewhat. Mythrill sped up toward geodude at the order, her fist glowing, ready to struck the pokemon. Her opponent didn't make attempt to dodge, but curled itself into a ball as Mythrill smashed her fist down. Geodude started rotating at high speed, the movement allowed it to minimize Mythrill's attack to ram her head on. Once again was Mythrill being rammed back by the rock pokemon. She appeared to have taken not small a damage as she was unable to dodge the follow up attack.
Lacie needed to find a way to stop the annoying rotation that made direct hitting the pokemon hard. Perhaps, if they were to propel the pokemon to the air, it won't have foothold to maintain the attack. "Wait for it to approach, then rock smash it to the air," she made her decision. True to that rollout was broken as geodude laid defenseless in the air. Another rock smash signaled the end of the battle.
"Good job, Mythrill," Lacie said in satisfaction at the knocked out geodude.
