"It is easy, yes? Oh, you're bleeding again-- Ah, oh no!!" Paz, a little freaked out herself, had quickly let go of Senshi's hand and grabbed the stack of papers, moving them away from the over-growing pool of blood on the table. The effort was for naught though, as many, many layers of the stack had already become soaked. She let out a groan and set the papers aside. "Senshi-chan, what am I going to do?! I can't hand out fliers soaked in blood! .... Senshi-chan?" In the frenzy, she hadn't quite noticed the lack of a standing Senshi. Paz turned to find the warrior very much not standing, and brought her hands to her mouth in a gasp.

The next few moments were spent with Paz trying to drag Senshi to her own bed - being closer in proximity than Senshi's, which lay on the other side of the house - and managed to heft the girl, armor and all, into bed. It was the best she could do at this point, and could only assume her passing out was associated with the amount of blood lost. Paz used another handkerchief and cleaned her assistant's face, then took a paper fan and fanned her gently.

"Oh dear..."

Senshi had been out for a good few minutes, perhaps half an hour or more, recovering from her latest blunder. Upon waking up, she doesn't at first remember how she had gotten there, in apparently her master's bed, with her master sitting next to her, apparently fanning her. The entire experience was rather surreal. How did she pass out? She had no idea. Though the closeness of Paz was enough to cause her to blush once more, as well as a few... interesting thoughts, to say the least.

The white-haired wolf Tengu sits up in the bed, looking around the room. "E-erm... Master? What exactly happened?" She felt a little dizzy, causing her to lay back down in the bed and watch Paz closely. Then... it all came back. Senshi recollected the events rather vividly, as they had only transpired a few moments ago.

Tears start to stream down her cheeks, and the ronin looks away from her master to hide her shame. Should she have been able to get up and actually move about, which she probably could but was really being a baby about, she might have attempted to kill herself once more for dishonouring her master in such an awful way. "I... I'm sorry... M-master. I've ruined all of y-your fliers... I swear I didn't mean to! I-it's just... you were so close and... and smelled so nice and... and..." She sobs into the blanket. Truly, she was a pathetic Ronin. But she was a loyal one. "Please forgive me!"

Paz had continued to fan her poor assistant for the entire time she had been passed out, growing increasingly worried for the young woman's well being in the process. She was just making plans to contact a doctor of some sort when Senshi began to stir. Paz let out a relieved sigh as she awoke, and offered her a smile upon being inquired.

"Oh, Senshi-chan, you're awake! There was a small accident, and--" was all the priestess managed to reply, before she noticed her assistant beginning to cry. As Senshi began to apologize, Paz closed the paper fan and tucked it away, before pressing her index finger to Senshi's lips. "Shush." Taking a third handkerchief (honestly, how many of these did she carry?), Paz gently dabbed at the corners of Senshi's eyes and her cheeks. "I already forgave you, Senshi-chan. You had me worried more than anything else." Still sitting over her, Paz offered the warrior a smile. "The fliers are indeed ruined, but... Well, it is a small setback, I suppose. We will simply have to go out and spread the word by mouth!" Paz must have the patience of a saint.

"Come now, please settle down and try to relax. It is only mid morning and already we've exerted quite a lot of energy, haven't we?" Paz took Senshi's hand - the one the warrior would have normally drawn her wakazashi with - and held it. There was a light blush in her cheeks, likely from Senshi's comment of her scent being pleasing. "Is there anything your, ah, 'master' can do for you, Senshi-chan? ... Do you really like my scent so much...?"

The Ronin sniffles once more, trying to calm herself down. Though she had been reassured, the woman still felt as though she'd betrayed her master in some way by letting her affection get the better of her. But how could she possibly explain more? It was probably impossible to do so without having some form of panic attack or another. Senshi...chan. It was something she would have to get used to, especially in this situation, at least, for her master's sake.

As Paz takes her hand, she blushes lightly, but any thoughts she might have were soon pushed aside as she continues... well, being upset. Wait... worried? Truly, Paz was the kindest, most compassionate master she had ever been in the employ of. "K-kazuhima-sama... I... no... as long as you are content, that is all that matters to me. A-again... I'm sorry for ruining them... I just..."

Taking a deep breath, the Ronin manages to calm herself to the point of being able to speak once more in complete sentences, though tears continued rolling down her rather pink-ish cheeks. Well, it seemed for all the blood loss, the blush still remained. Not that she'd lost enough to really warrant a change in skin tone. Of course, she'd heard the last part to her master's speech, as clearly as any other, though perhaps slightly softer. Gotta love the whole enhanced doggy hearing thing. "It... It's not just your scent... but you do smell very nice..." Let's not make this any more awkward than it needs to be, Senshi. "B-but Master! I must ask... is there anything I can do for you? I am well enough to still do as you ask, however much energy I may have expended, and I may as well make an attempt to right the wrongs that I have done."

Paz takes the handkerchief and dabs at Senshi's eyes again, while still holding onto her hand with one of hers. "I am happy that you find such joy being under my employ, but... Mh... no, there is nothing that comes to mind. Senshi-chan, I would like to take the rest of the day off with you. We can spread the word tomorrow, okay?" Worried that her friend continued to cry, Paz leaned down and embraced the woman, her hands resting on Senshi's shoulders and head beside her's.

"Shhh, please do not blame yourself. You are a wonderful assistant." Paz said, straightening herself and brushing some stray hair from her face. "I'd like to take this opportunity to get to know you better, Senshi-chan. If... that would be alright with you. We went to the Academy together, but I don't believe we spoke much outside of formal greetings. I always thought you were a little odd... Perhaps a little cute... And I envied your dedication to the lessons."

Compliments. Compliments and hugging. Hugging? Blush. Somehow, however, Senshi's nose wasn't bleeding. In fact, she took a great amount of comfort in the hugging. Wait... Did her master just call her cute? No, Senshi. Ignore it. Just ignore it. Do your damnedest to ignore it. You can't let your affection for your master show. To do such a thing would be anything other than ideal, and there would be no way this Tengu was getting fired for something so silly. "Y-you... thought I was... cute?" Yep, way to go Senshi.

Her face is a bloody beet by now. She coughs, and attempts to change the subject, hoping that her master would be as oblivious as she seemed sometimes, admittedly. "A-anyways... yes... I would like to spend the day off. With you. Erm... I suppose getting to know one another better would be pleasant." Speaking of her past? Maybe she could finally do it. If not, she'd simply convey it to her master through writing. "Perhaps we might get some paper, if we are to do this, however... there are some things that I still find hard to speak of, i-if that's alright with you, Kazuhima-sama! I will tell you anything you'd like to know, or do anything that you wish. After all, I am naught but your loyal servant, and happy to be that."

Okay, perhaps she was being a little too forward. Paz did indeed make note of how red her assistant's face had gotten, and realized that her comforting actions, no matter how innocent they were intended to be, seemed to be making things worse on the poor wolf. Not that they were wholly innocent, mind you.

But, it seemed Senshi would be compliant after all! Which, Paz supposed, wasn't surprising at all given her nature. "Yes, that would be perfectly fine, Senshi-chan." Paz told her, smiling sweetly. "And, if 'master' may make a request? I'd like to see you be happy." Chuckling to herself and her perceived clever remark, Paz rose from the bedside and flattened out her robes. "Please, take your time and relax. I will go prepare things in my office, where our privacy can be assured. There will be plenty of paper there for you to write out your thoughts, and, I will be sure to bring plenty of handkerchiefs!" With that said, Paz bowed to Senshi. "So, join me when you are ready, okay?" And promptly left the room.

The office in question seemed much more ornate than the rest of the house, as it was also where Paz delt with the most pressing of matters, both holistic and otherwise. In the center of the room was a rather large oak wood desk with some scattered paperwork on its surface. The walls were lined with books of all sorts, though Paz rarely touched them; Sometimes she'd even admit to herself that they were probably there to make her look a little bit smarter. Paz tidied up the paperwork on the desk, then retrieved a small stack of blank parchment from a drawer in the desk, along with a third set of inkwell and quill. That achieved, she aligned the chairs properly, one in front of and one behind the desk... then, sat at the one positioned in front, and awaited Senshi's arrival, hands joined over crossed legs.

Well, this certainly would be more than... a little difficult. Senshi eventually finds the strength to get up, shaking a little. It hadn't been too long since she's thought about the past, but... maybe she still wasn't ready? Quickly pushing whatever doubts she had out of her mind, for her master's sake, she walks into Paz's office, and simply goes to sit down where Paz wasn't, as that would most likely have been the arrangement for this all anyways.

She stares at Paz, seeming a little out of it, before speaking suddenly. "I... Please, Kazuhima-sama... If I do anything strange, or odd, forgive me. I haven't told anyone about anything like this before and it still... haunts me." Senshi gives a bow, before straightening her back and taking a deep breath. "If it would be alright with you, perhaps I can simply answer questions for now. I would rather not unload everything onto you all at once." 'And I would have a breakdown', she adds silently. Well, at least Senshi knew her limits when it came to this.

"Oh? Something strange?" Paz was a little confused, head tilted in query, but she tried to lighten the mood by adding, "But you've always been a little odd! Mh... That is fine, I do not mind. Please, allow me a moment to think." The priestess went about collecting the papers she had laid out and set them and the ink well on the edge of the desk, out of the way. This gave her a few moments to think of what exactly she wanted to know about Senshi, and what might be appropriate to ask. After coming up with an idea, she reclined in her chair, weaving her hands again.

"I suppose my first inquiry would be about this code of honor you adhere to so closely. Truly, I have never seen anyone quite as... devoted as you are, even those high ranking officials of military or religious backgrounds. I daresay it borderlines fanaticism, but I like to think I know you better than that." She offered Senshi a warm smile, "I suppose what I'm asking is... where did this code of yours come from? Why is it so important that its... consequences are so extreme?"
PostPosted: Tue Sep 02, 2014 7:21 pm

Senshi nods, a new, determined look in her eyes. "If I am to achieve enlightenment, I must follow the code of that which I feel in my heart! To not do so is dishonourable, and to not have some form of written code close to you... a mortal sin! K-kazuhima-sama!" Senshi gives her another bow. "I simply wish to please my Master... if I cannot do that... I am worthless. But I must do so within this code that I hold so dearly. Perhaps it is hard for some to understand but... I assure you! There is a higher purpose!" She looks up again, clenching her fist tightly.

"But..." With that, her fist drops, and she clenches part of her robes, looking down and to the side. "I guess that isn't really what you were asking me, but only part of it, right...? Well... it is hard for me to recount, but... to make a much longer story short, I was a slave for a good portion of my life. Nothing more than a pet and a toy. I had rules. When I was finally rescued, there were less rules, and so it became hard to cope. Hard to fit. That's when...!" She looks up again, clenching her fist. God damn, she was getting too anime for this. "...that's when I met you, Kazuhima-sama! I... did not really 'meet' you, but we saw one another... I wanted to become a warrior! A defender of justice, to serve the righteous! The code of Bushido only offered so much, however... so I made more rules. Rules that I can follow, and rules that if broken, will warrant extreme punishment so that I may remember them properly!"

Senshi nods, and crosses her arms across her chest, looking proud. "This is my code of honour! I will follow it devoutly, and through it, I will serve Kazuhima-sama to my dying breath, becoming both her sword, shield, and servant in the process!" Dropping to the floor, she bows again. "K-kazuhima-sama...! I will serve you as long as we both live... This... I swear!"

"Hm... Yes..." Paz thought aloud, hand on her chin. "I remember that raid. Oh, I wasn't a part of it, being far too young, but I read about it in the newspapers." Somewhat unphased by Senshi's theatrics, Paz rose from her seat and went over to the deeply-bowed Senshi, gently placing her hands on the woman's shoulders, beckoning her to rise. "To be quite honest with you, it was this very incident that lead me to joining the Guard soon after. Seeing such injustice in Gensokyo... I thought perhaps I could make a difference." Once again, she took a moment to brush Senshi's robes free of dust, despite the fact there likely wasn't any on her. It was the thought that counted. "How strange, that our fates may intertwine as they have. Well, if you believe so strongly in these... rules of yours, then I won't question it. But please, do try to be a little more gentler with yourself? For me?"

Paz stood, then offered her hand to the ronin. "In return, I will try to... accommodate for your needs, whatever they may be. I wish for our partnership to be a fortuitous one. Together, we can serve to help many people, perhaps even save others like you were once saved!" The priestess smiled warmly to her 'servant', hands still holding Senshi's. "But... that is all I will ask of you today. Thank you for indulging a bit of my curiosity, Senshi-chan. Is there anything you would ask of me, now?"
