Summers felt another stinging sensation, now coming from a different part of his body. Brantley quickly rolled to the ropes and leaned over the bottom one trying to catch his breath and get away from Croft. Salem was starting off the match strong after the microphone shot and continually making Summers keep his mind fuzzy.

Salem's strikes were being met with cheers from the audience until Brantley wisely rolled towards the ropes and hung his head over the bottom cable to catch his breath. But having bounced back up after the elbow, "The Copperhead" was quick to try and capitalize- looking to put a boot to the back of Brantley's head and choke him with the bottom rope, holding the top cable for added leverage!

Salem was lucky the counts were much shorter as he would only have to deal with a throat choking. That didn't make it any easier however as he was forced to gasp for air and not intake any while he had a foot on the back of his. The crowd was behind Salem and Croft was feeding on that. Summers however was stuck in this sticky situation.

Salem knew the count was only going to be until two, but he used the couple seconds to shorten Summers' stamina, leaning his weight onto the choke to step off rather than just pull his foot away. Taking a bit of a breather himself, "The Copperhead" would about-face and walk towards the center of the mat. Surveying the fans around him, Salem slapped his chest and shouted, "I am BBW!" to spark p a chant before setting his serpent-like sights back on Summers.

Summers began pulling himself to his feet after Salem released his foot from the back of Brantley's head. The former world champion was putting a number onto -the legend-. Summers managed to lift all the way back and turned, leaning into the ropes and facing Salem. Summers was breathing heavily, trying to get oxygen back into his muscles. He draped his arms over the top rope, and with his hand under said top rope, he raised one finger, his index finger, and extended it. Brantley quickly curled his finger, extended it, and curled again repeating the motion in a lazy signal at Croft.

The crowd was hot, but not as hot as Salem was as he watched the weakened Summers flip him off from the corner. Charging forward, "The Copperhead" looked to build momentum before turning back-first at Brantley at the last second, looking to throw his body into his opponent's and stun him with a backward splash against the turnbuckles!

Summers quickly rolled out the way of the flying snake along the ropes, leaving a blank canvas for Salem to work with. Then, Summers would look to quickly capitalize on his escape with a Drop Toe Hold to bring the man down as he came off the rebound of the turnbuckle.

Salem was startled by the sudden emptiness of the corner, only seeing Brantley's evasion as his back ws already helplessly hurtling into the turnbuckles. The sting that overtook "The Copperhead" was nearly as sharp as his own fangs..but if that weren't enough, Summers would pull a page from the Cena playbook and execute a drop toe hold as Croft came hobbling out of the corner. Sufficiently staggered, Salem slipped forward onto his stomach like a snake, bashing his head against the canvas. Wincing, Croft clutched his cranium hoping he didn't have a concussion. And that Brantley wouldn't bust out the STFU*. *Because I'm an adult. ******** that STF s**t.

Summers tried to quickly get to his feet after managing to start a shift in momentum. Summers would see the downed Croft and go a series of stomps to the right calf, ankle and foot of Croft. It would seem like Summers was looking for a Standing Heel Hook finish here as he would seek to methodically break down the leg of Salem that he targeted.

Salem was struggling to post up on his forearms, but Summers was quick to continue his attack - systematically stalking "The Copperhead" and striking at his right leg at the joints. Each stomp made the former BBW Champ wince, twisting on the mat after the heel hook like an injured serpent. Clutching his right ankle, Croft rolled towards the ropes and struggled to get enough distance between them to start attempting a stand-up.

Summers watched Salem as he tried to rise. Brantley ran to the opposite ropes looking to comeback and clothesline Salem over the top rope and end the match quickly.

Salem was only just getting his bearings as he rose to a vertical base, much less his balance by the time Brantley came barreling off the ropes for a clothesline! Taking the blow like a former champ, "The Copperhead" cartwheels over the top rope, but managed to keep a hand on the cable to keep him from falling off the apron and getting disqualified. He was pulled back by the rebound of the rope, looking to throw his opposite elbow forth for Summers' skull!

Summers took the elbow, reluctantly. It was hard to catch at first notice, but you could tell if you replayed the elbow that he was grimacing the oncoming elbow more than catching it unexpectedly. There had been word to Summers prior to the match that Salem was always a little stiff on his bows, something he must have learned from his tours in Japan. This left Summers dazed and staggered towards the center of the ring.

Salem's elbow sparked some life into the crowd and gave "The Copperhead" a second to catch his breath on the apron. Summers was a hefty guy, and his many years in the business had made him a battle-hardened veteran that wouldn't be waylayed for more than a moment. Unable or unwilling to take time off the attack, Salem gripped the top rope with both hands taut, his viperish eyes locked on Brantley across the canvas...then, stepping up onto the bottom rope, he'd bounce nimbly over the cables and elongate - looking to catch the cunning grappler with a dropkick!

The snake went airborne as Croft came flying into Summers with a well place and brilliantly timed dropkick. This sent the southeast's representative gambler falling hard into the mat.The 'Leaping Lancehead' Salem Croft was showing a variety of skills in his showy moveset. This made him a tricky competitor to deal with, but while Summers was crouched down holding his chest, he was planning how to slow down the fast pace of Croft.
