"Do I have to do everything you say?"
Elissa grumbled under her breath. She looked around before finding a small corner. Sitting down, she rolled over onto her side and curled up into a small ball. Despite all of her big talk, she was actually just a child deep down. Silently, she began to weep, though she made no sound or sign of it.
---
Adanna stared at him and just gave him this look.
"Alright, you're faster. Enough with the doddling, we need to get a plan made and quick... before I get really angry."

"Yes."
He took another drink, he would offer her some water, but her insolence wasnt deserving of water. He put the lid on the skin and leaned back quietly.
~*~
He then began to walk to what looked like a small caravan, it was the silver legion that he was walking to. He motioned for her to follow because they had men, and resources to use.

Elissa slowly sat up, her back turned, and rubbed at her eyes. Slowly she stood and walked outside, leaning against a wall where she slid down and pulled her knees up to her chest. She wrapped her arms around her knees and burried her head into her arms, where she began to weep silently again. Yes, he would probably follow her and yell at her for leaving his presence, or whatever, but she didn't care. She supposed she would get many beatings for her back talking, and probably horrid treatment for her insolence, but she didn't care.
---
Adanna reached up and grabbed his hand so she wouldn't get lost. She was a bit edgy, being the only female, that she knew of, amongst all these men. She had her hand resting on the hilt of her sword as she followed him closely.

Outside a large four tailed scorpion moved swiftly across the sand it caught her heat signature and ran across the sand as it reached her and prepared to strike and poison her, a glaive cut it down swiftly.
"You should stay in the guilding little girl....its unsafe in the open...."
~*~
Among the band of mercenaries half the soldiers were female, and there were 4 females among the higher ups. Autumn, Christina, Cassie and Gretchen, the legion wans't composed of men only but it was of both genders. Lance then conveyed what he knew to Christina who was the acting commander.

Slowly she stood up, not trying to hide her tears. In fact, she didn't even say something sarcastic or rude like usual. Instead she just silently walked back inside, found another corner, and laid down in it with her head on the ground. She might as well get used to being silent and obedient. She would have to be broken in anyway, and it would just be easier to break herself rather than having someone else do it for her.
---
Adanna smiled softly. Not being the only girl was comforting, she would have gone insane with only boys. She wasn't used to them, and if not for Elissa, would have been killed by them.

Talon walked into the ruin and sat down looking at her.
"Ya know...calling me a scarred freak was hurtful....around here everyone is identified by markings on their body. I got mine from trying to steal the feathers of a roc...it nearly killed me."
He slid down against the wall quietly, and looked at her throwing the water skin at her.
"Drink..."
~*~
Welcome. Im the acting commander since my brother lacks the ability to fight at the moment. He lost his wife a few months ago and blames himself for her death still."
Christina sighed and shouldered her guan dao, she looked at the woman and snickered.
"You need to lose the armor....thats really hindering your movement. Let me guess you come from that church country Ver Donnez right? They obsess over armor."

Elissa reached out a hand and grabbed the water skin, taking a drink before scooting it back towards him. She just lay there, curled up in her little ball. In a small voice, after a long moment, she finally said something.
"You took me away from the only person who understands me... How do you think I feel...?"
Slowly standing up, she looked around before she wandered off. Finding an empty room in the Guilding, she flopped down on the bed and hugged the pillow tightly, burrying her face into it, holding her staff close to her chest.
---
Adanna simply looked at them plainly. Remove her armor? Were they insane. No, she wouldn't do that. She didn't care if she did stand out, Elissa hand made the armor, it had too much sentimental value to remove.
"I will not remove my armor. It has too much sentimental value to take off and just throw aside. However, if you can insure it's safety and not destroy or even ding it in the least bit, I will be willing to change into your native clothes."

Talon stared out across the horizon, he didn't care really because of the wars of old men, he was left in the world with out anyone. He became who he was because he didnt know exactly who or what he was just a remnant of some battle.
"You are just a little girl looking for adventure....this is a land of cruelty...you will see soon."
~*~
"If you made that yourself....I have to say it is way too large for what you need it for. Armor can get you identified as an elitist in these parts also. If you noticed we only use our weapons....besides that armor reminds us of our past..."
Jareth quietly said as he stumbled forward and walked past her, he had an emptiness to his eyes, as if he was dead inside. He just continued to walk into the desert, he was very weak looking, it was as if he was about to break.

".....Dont mind them little lady."
A man spoke with voice full of fire and spirit. He held a large maul shaped hammer in his hand with a double bladed sword on his back. His hair resembling the flames that his line was derived from.
"But Ya know that armor seems to attract heat...Black aint a good color for the desert."

Elissa simply lay there, silently. Slowly getting up, she wandered around until she found an isolated dark room. Slipping inside, hugging her rose staff to her chest, she found a corner by summoning a dim light from her staff. Slinking down into the corner, she kept the light on. Right now, she didn't trust much of anything. What the hell did he want from her? Oh, papa don't preach. He KIDNAPPED her, it's not like she just jumped into his arms and said take me away. Adventure? No. Quest, yes. Now how was she to complete her quest when she was torn from her path and torn from Adanna? Closing her red eyes, she whispered a prayer.
"Lady Alaina, please wait patiently... Obstacles have come between our Quest and I have been torn from Adanna, but soon enough we will find you. Please, wait..."
---
Adanna just watched everyone with her serious blue eyes. Her eyes went from one face to another. Slowly she gave a glare towards everyone. Stripping off her armor, she held it in her arms, standing in brown pants with buckles all the way up, and a white shirt with the sleeves torn off. She hugged the armor to her chest and closed her eyes, speaking in a very serious voice.
"If any harm comes to this armor, I swear blood will be spilt over it. When I find and save Elissa, I will put my armor back on and we will be gone. We've business that drug us out here, and we will continue with it, in our own way, the way it was supposed to be done."

"Keh no probably lady. We're only here because the only safe port is on the desert's coast. Our boss has been convicted of treason so all of us were exiled along with him."
Sieg jumped into the air jumping onto a horse, he shouldered his sword and looked out across the desert looking for Jareth. He hated how Jareth had changed since the incidents that lead to their exile.
~*~
"Look babe you may wanna not pray like that...out here theres bad blood between the locals and the people of Ver Donnez....they sent too many of their missionaries out here...telling us we are gonna suffer for all eternity if we dont worship their Saint."
Talon tossed her a book with the details of the first nine crusades that came and how the Sivarran people chased them out each time.
"The guardians hold the great power. They believe this man named Arkis of Shaelin had the supreme power....trust me after so many crusades we have come to hate that religion...."

Adanna just looked at him before looking back down to her armor. Looking around, she wondered where she was going to set it down at, or who she was supposed to give it to so it could be put away to safe keepings.
---
Elissa just looked at him and stood up, for once getting face to face with him. No more petty insults, no more smart a** comebacks. This was the true Elissa, and she was not going to let anybody tell her what to believe in, even if it was a life or death situation.
"Listen, you can boss me around all you want. You can beat me into doing things for you, make me do your laundry, or even lick your feet. But nobody, not even a big tough guy like you, is going to tell me how to pray or what to believe. I'm stuck here in this hell hole because of you. You take me away and for no reason at all except to have one do everything for you, so that you can be the spoiled one for a change. Don't you dare ever throw a book in my direction that tells me not to pray. Ever."

"Once dusk hits Im taking you to the port city, your friend was capable of protecting herself...."
Talon looked at her with the gaze of a hawk, he wasn't just any bandit he was descended from a servant family to Koutetsu the wind god.
"Look I am sorry but you didn't see them.....a woman wrapped in bandages, a man with a sword twice his size, and the rest of them,.....they are the worst of the desert.....and you would of died...I failed to save someone dear to me before....and you remind me of her....."
~*~
"Put your armor on the wagon with the rest of our stuff. We have to get moving we need to find the boss."
He looked around for Jareth but couldnt see him at all. He knew they needed to find Jareth, he was in a suicidal state anymore.
"Christina where is your brother!?"

Elissa stomped her foot down and shook her head, giving a small glare to him.
"No! That's not how it works! You don't make me your servant then ditch me. What are you, mentally impaired!? Gosh, don't men know anything? You make someone be your servant and then you just take them back? What kind of bandit are you, don't you know anything about being the bad guy? Do I have to teach you everything?! Tell me to do something, now. And be serious!"
---
Adanna walked over to the wagon and set them down carefully, away from everything else. She wasn't going to chance a ding or a scratch. No way. Looking around, she simply sat down on the edge of the wagon, not knowing what to do or say. Besides, she wasn't one much for words anyways.

"Who said Im the bad guy? Dont you know anything about wind?"
He turned and pulled his hair to the side and revealed the mark on the back of his neck. He was a member of one of fifty four families each marked with the symbol of a different animal meant to serve a different guardian. His was the mark of a hawk.
"I serve Koutetsu...brother of Kusanagi. And for your information me and my allies made base in the port. Now its almost dusk so get ready we have a dangerous trip."
~*~
Lance walked over to her and motioned for her to be careful not to fall behind but he then ran to the other side of the wagon. He had to make sure nothing fell off the wagon.
~*~
Out in the desert Jareth came to stop falling to his kness looking up into the sky. He didn't know why things had to turn out like this, he was always saved he hated it.
"People are counting on you Jareth..."
A man with silver hair calmly stated he had a gem on his forehead that was blue as his eyes. He threw the sword he carried letting it land in the sand. It was a Miisantian War Sword, but it was different than the others.
"Take this sword, you will need it...after all you are a dual sword specialist am I not right?"
The man flexxed his metallic angelic wings that seemed to be grafted into his back. He then slowly walked away.
"Wait who are you?"
Jareth said as he wrapped his hand around the hilt of the sword. He lifted it out of the sand slowly and looked quizzically at the man.
"Oh I think you know who I am...."
And with that said a gust of wind came between the two allowing for the man to vanish with out a word. It was uncertain who or what he was. But he left an impression on Jareth to say the least.
