On another note... it's along the lines of conspiracy, but has anyone else thought that maybe some of the people working on these shows know something... and just want to ruin any chance of acceptance possibly? Sounds farfetched, but it's what I started to think what with all the things out there that seem to point towards anything different out there being evil...

Well...this is pretty interesting, what I've noticed...(it's what I believe anyway).
I have a theory that through the minds of people, and their collective subconcious(they don't know it themselves) agenda, it seems like an organization or group of organizations works in tandem toward a certain goal, but it is really just the way everybody acts in a situation. I think that in the back of their minds, the TV producers fear that we just might be real, so they create propaganda against us. However, they sincerely believe that they are giving an honest viewpoint, because some motives are hidden even from the person they belong to.

I'd agree with what Sean said. It's very easy for a person to lie to themself enough that they actually begin to believe it. Sometimes, the only way to get away with something is to make yourself believe the lie is truth and believe the truth is a lie. But enough talking in circles. People fear what they do not know or understand, and the mere thought of not being able to defend against it scares the hell out of people. So what do they do? They deny it's very existance, coming up with "logical" explanations and other things that is, many of times, nothing but nonsense.
