I'm a natural empath, and I've learned to control it as I've grown up. I'm not sure if this is related to Empathy, but I can also read people's personality traits by just looking at them.

I wish I could block it, especially if I have friends really depressed. It's not that fun, unless they're reeeeally hyper. XD

Reading people's emotions is bad. I have it really bad cause I can do it through online, lol. Might explain why I care about other people so much...and I rather not tell people how I feel. o_O" Daaannng this sound exactly like me. I'm also obessed with music, lol. Thanks for showing me this...kinda like someone wrote this just for me. XD

I've been an empath my entire life. It has grown to the point where it feels like I can feel anything and everything from where I am, to very far away. I almost always know who's walking in the door, who's calling on the phone, and who's being overwhelmed by any kind of feeling. But now, I just casually use my empathic ability to find out which friend would be best to joke around with on any given day, and who to console to.

i tend to get sick whenever i move, or whenever people i am around get hurt because of the spike of energy. i have few shield up constantly, and when people get hurt, its like a spke, railroad spike, right into my gut. it sucks.

The reason I hate my empathy skill is mostly because I can always understand what other people are feeling and it gets frustrating when I tell them why they're feeling that way and they wont admit it. I'm very good at pin-pointing the reasons why someone feels that way but when they deny it the emotion kind of over-takes because I know I get frustrated when people wont accept their emotions and deal with them. College makes it worse; all my friends drink and I admit I do too to some degree because it dulls the pain of having to deal with other people's emotion and that kind of escape is never a good thing.
Some days I wish it would go away.
