Faun Goat Katena When the sparks fly during battle Our memories are cast through them
Faun stepped out of the portal onto a skyscraper rooftop, the wind whirling her hair around. She checked to see what shinigami were in the city, and to her surprise she immediately felt one. A slow, but strong reiatsu emanating from not too far away. A captain perhaps? ...She decided to wait for Raven and Endou before making a move.
Those sparks are everything In them, I can see Life ((I'm just going to move along with the assumption that the red queen isn't there))

Lewis Carroll Hatter, Adviser, Madman Arriving in the Human World, the Hatter took a brief glimpse around. The streets seemed mildly lively, but it was nonetheless a problem for him to be here. However, he justified himself as doing his duty. While he was technically supposed to work with Hakora, the Captain had shown enough thought to let him know where he was going and to tell someone to come and get the Hatter, leaving him all alone. So naturally, Carroll did the same, heading off on his own. He wondered, if only briefly, how big of a problem he was creating. But the wheels of his mind were working faster than his body. He was trying to come up with a way to bring in as many people as once by himself, or at least stall enough time until back up arrived. So far he had nothing. Carroll would have to work on the fly. So instead, he began to release a stream large enough to attract any being strong enough to discern the reaitsu he was letting off, his hopes riding on attracting someone who knew the boy. It occurred to the Hatter here, he didn't know their prisoner's name. He'd have to cover that one too. So many problems, so many problems. But here he was. now all Carroll had to do was wait.

Janus Zwaar Artistic Shinigami Janus felt a large power presenting itself ostentatiously no too far from him, clearly trying to get some attention. He scratched his chin, started to readjust his bandanna only to remember he was holding his sheathed zanpakuto in his other hand, then shrugged. Eh, couldn't hurt to see what the deal is. The faster this whole "Constellation/Serial Killer/Spirit-King-on-vacation-in-Hawaii" thing got resolved, the sooner he could get back to his real work: murals on every wall of the seireitei. After a short dash, he stopped in front of Lewis and said, " Oh, it's just you, uhhhhhhhhh--" Janus snapped his free fingers trying to remember. He should know this, he was at the meeting, it was an author's name... " Oh!" he pointed at Lewis and said " Edgar Allen Poe!"

Lewis Carroll Hatter, Adviser, Madman Carroll could feel something approaching. His blood boiled in excitement, hands restless and fingers dancing as the being approached. The pressure he had been giving off died down as the Hatter recognized who was approaching him. It was Captain Zwaar. "Oh, Captain Zwaar, hello." he spoke, blinking despite being called the wrong name. Poe? A familiar name but not his. Still.... "I wasn't aware any of us were here in the World of the Living. I thought everyone was dealing with paper work or the like back in the Seireitei." This harmed the plan he had thought of, but he could possibly work with it. "Tell me Captain Zwaar, have you seen or heard anything weird recently while you were here?

Janus Zwaar Artistic Shinigami Janus scratched his head. " Not sure if I'm the best person to decide if something is weird. What are you looking for? I might be able to help, I can't remember why I came here in the first place anyways." he finished with a smile. He knew he probably had a reason to be here, but if he couldn't remember it then it wasn't very important. He wasn't given his position for his excellent memory or diligence, he was made captain to replace some nut and nobody else fit the bill. That reminded him, who was it he replaced? …can't remember. Probably isn't important.

Lewis Carroll Hatter, Adviser, Madman "I'm looking for people, specifically something trying to sneak around that isn't human nor hollow. More precisely, someone or someones looking like Shinigami." Carroll replied, hoping that Zwaar, having stated he couldn't remember why he was even in the Human World, wouldn't point out the two of them. Tapping his watch, the Adviser frowned, tilting his hat downwards over his face. "Captain Zwaar, may I make an advisement for a plan of action, in the event we are indeed approached by individuals appearing to be Shinigami, or otherwise powerful forces of nature we likely have no way of stopping?" he asked, casting a glance to the other.
Of all the Captains, it had to be his replacement with him now. This had not been a good period of time for Carroll. First impossible news happened. Impossible was easy in Wonderland, one had to merely think it to make it happen, but that didn't make the impossible good. Such was the nature of the impossible that had occurred. Then, after the Impossible, he was paired with Hakora for investigation. Sure the man was brilliant in his field (he did capture an individual after all) but the two hated each other beyond words. And now, here he was getting ready to try and bait out Kiyoshi's "siblings" and Capain Janus Zwaar happened to be in the area. He couldn't very well tell him off, he might need the extra man power, but the reason he felt such disdain was that the boy, for that's all Janus was to the Hatter, was his replacement, someone predictable, but strong. A true Knave of Hearts. Just thinking the word hearts made him bite his lip as his expression soured further. The blood lust that boy in the prison cell had induced in Carroll was still there. It always was, but rarely ever made its presence known, unlike now, and it was ruining his mood. He could feel the manifestation of Kyofu behind him. He knew what form it would have. Kiyoshi's bent and broken body tormenting him, goading him on. He wondered, briefly, if it had fully manifested, or only to him, the gaunt, thin being, whispering in his ear, head twisted to one side, body deeply scarred and bloody. It's limbs and fingers long and spindly like a spider's legs, speaking to the Hatter in his anger, replacing the frown with an attempt at a smile, his mouth in a hard, unamused line.

Janus Zwaar Artistic Shinigami " Go ahead, I'm terrible at planning." he replied, not really getting what Lewis was on about. The only reason he became a shinigami was so he could get the materials to create with and the clearance to travel and find inspiration. Honestly, it was a big pain, but less of a pain than it was before. Do what people tell you to do and you can paint when there's nothing left to do. That was simple. People were trickier. He doesn't really know what to do with people, so he tends to just humor them until they either go away or tell him to do something. It made his life easier anyways.

Lewis Carroll Hatter, Adviser, Madman "Good." The Hatter spoke in a low tone. "I'd appreciate it if you help me attract some of these fellows we're looking for. Just a small amount of energy, please. We don't need you crushing buildings or showing off or anything, just enough to get something noticeable." He spoke again, cracking his fingers. "And if or when we get the attention we want, please allow me to do most, no, all, of the talking, please. We're after people who very likely want to kill us, and with some luck, I believe I can convince them to follow us right to their 'brother.'" He finished, looking over to his replacement. "That's just my advice though. As an Acting Captain, you aren't required to follow it. You could guns blazing for all it matters." he shrugged, reaching into his pocket and pulling out his book, picking up where he left off while the reiatsu trailed from him.

Janus Zwaar Artistic Shinigami Janus scratched his head again. What's-his-name wanted him to maybe kinda do something and don't do something if something does something… " Huh?" he said out loud. Now he was just plain lost. When people told him specific and clear instructions or details he could usually figure it out, but all these maybes and possiblys were just confusing.

Lewis Carroll Hatter, Adviser, Madman Pinching the bridge of his nose, Carroll spoke to himself in English. He would never understand why they chose someone who sounded like he would forget what his breakfast was immediately after eating it. Alas, it wasn't his decision and so inhaling, he tried again. "Captain Zwaar, allow me to explain once more, perhaps in a clearer fashion. If people approach us and they don't seem like hollows or Shinigami, but look like Shinigami, then please let me speak to them and try to remain quiet and stoic. Or even better, intimidating." He smiled, looking out over the horizon formed by the city streets. He wondered if this would even work, or worse yet, if problems arose before he could enact his plan. Right now, it certainly seemed like the latter would be more appropriate, given his luck recently.

♚ The Red Queen ♚ Hantai suru hito subete o bōtoku Gunshin, Hachiman ┏━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┓
In a red flash, Akane appeared in front of Lewis. Her whole body glowed a faint red. She then turned and saw Lewis. She smiled and waved. She then walked towards him. " Hello Lewis." She said as she stopped walking towards, standing at an appropriate distance. She then bowed her head and the faint glow disappeared. The wind blew and her hair went all over her face. She then brushed it out of her face and put her hair up in a bun with tow chopsticks.

xxxRaven appeared in the streets behind her sister, noticing almost immediately someone was purposefully trying to grab their attention. Deciding it was best to approach this and play this to their advantage, Raven laid a hand on Faun's shoulder. "Listen little sister. I sense someone is trying to draw us to them. I'm going to try and capitalize on this. Maybe I can play it so that instead of doing whatever it is he wants, we can bring them back to our world, where there is no escape. When Endou gets here, tell him to keep his head low. If I can get this person alone and drag him back, I want you two to leave immediately back home. If not, I'll call you if I need help. Now stay out of sight and be quiet." She said as she jumped up on a roof and scanned him out. She made a slight 'Tsk' sound as she noticed he wasn't alone. Biting her bottom lip, she knew she had a choice. She could either leave him be and search for someone who was alone, or try and find a way to get him alone. Unsure of what to do, she just remained crouched on top of the building, staying the the shadows as she waited for her chance.

Lewis Carroll Hatter, Adviser, Madman Another one?!? Carroll was growing tired of the disturbances made to his plan. Granted, he made no intentions of revealing the whole scheme to anyone else, but still, why were they attracted to him like moths to a flame? This time it was the girl..... what did they call her in the barracks? Ah yes, it was the Red Queen...... As the girl bowed to him, greeting him like an old friend, the Hatter, who through a series of unfortunate events, was now dealing with two people he had accounted for and one person who would love to arrest him on any given notion, including this one, without wait for trial or explanation. It was because of this, that when he greeted Akane, such was the venom in his voice that it was almost palpable. "Hello Hearts." He spoke, calmly, biting back his rage. The name burned his tongue, and perhaps, if he had been less lusty for the color Red to spill from someone's veins and his anger lower, he would have referred to the Captain appropriately and without even remembering her title. And filled with rage, he stepped away from his compatriots, giving them advice unasked that sounded much more like an order. "Hearts, Zwaar. If either of you run into others, please let me know immediately. It is imperative that I be there, in case any action that may warrant my advice be necessary, unless you prefer to jump in blind. And I advise you to let me know before you begin to speak. I would like to talk to them as much as you would allow before we do anything."
As he began to increase his walking speed, he waved them a cold good bye. "I'll be relieving some stress in the mean time. Do not fret over me. I will be fine." He assured them, still cold with his words. It was in his rage that he didn't really feel Kyofu manifest once more behind him, although he wouldn't know if the manifestation would be physical or not, although, had his mind been clearer, he would have known the image. His once upon a time Lieutenant, bleeding from her cheshire smile, head tilted against her shoulder and her torso hollowed, stalking him wherever he went. It was also because of his rage that he did not notice the draconic little song bird watching him from the shadows; the little song bird known as Raven, the most dangerous person to him right now.

xxxRaven watched his encounter with his comrades and saw her opening. She waited and followed him from the rooftops in the shadows until he was a good distance from the others and finding her chance. She slipped from the building and leaned against the front of it as she watched Carroll approach. "You're one of them. Aren't you. The Shinigami who took my little brother? I want him back home where he is safe. I would like to do that without having to result in a bloody fight. There has been enough war and violence already." She said, making her voice calm. Her eyes betrayed nothing of her intentions. She could tell he wasn't in the mood to be messed with right now. So she would be as strait as possible, while avoiding the whole truth.
