Yuki opened his mouth to say something and he stopped. what would Sean think if he said 'but I have watched you and you're a good man'? that was likely to get a freaked out reaction or have him run away. He needed a good home and Yuki wanted to be around him more ". . .I believe people can change and I can tell that you're actually a good person"

Sean arched his brow a bit before nodding, "Alright. I'll take you up on your offer." He said softly. "The food was great by the way." He said standing up.

Yuki smiled behind the mask and bowed his head to sean before gasping as the monk's bells could be heard. he ran behind the door and jumped onto the top of the shrine, taking his fox form to turn into a statue as the older man came up "hm? what can I help you with young man?"

Sean blinked seeing Yuki run by. He didn't see him change because the monk walked in. "I um... Hello there. I came in out of the cold last night. I was hoping you would have a job for me around her. I was kicked out of my apartment last night."

the old monk looked him over for a moment and glanced at the 'statue' before nodding "of course. I need help maintaining the repairs and cleaning around the shrine. my old bones can't take that much work. I can pay you and fix up the spare house behind this place. would that suit you?"

Sean nodded, "Sure, I've done construction before so I can fix anything you need me to. And I don't need money as long as I can get a room." He said stretching his arms out. He needed to get away from the booze and if he didn't have money then he couldn't get it.

"Very well then. If you'd like, you can start helping with the shrine by cleaning the statue guardians on the roof and replacing the tiles" he said and walked away to clean the altar and floors around it. yuki flinched but he kept still in his form, hoping sean would just brush the statues and be done

Sean nodded and looked around at the three statues they had. He got a rag and a bowl of soapy water. He had no idea that Yuki was one of the statues so when he washed he washed everywhere in every nook and cranny.

yuki had to keep himself from flinching and shivering from the professional washing until he was done. inside, he was blushing like crazy and trying his best not to yelp 'oh god oh god! how emberassing'

The statue was so life like that Sean payed extra attention to Yuki. When he was done he walked off to go fix the roof tiles.

yuki wanted to shift back to normal and run into the trees to try and shake off the feeling of being cleaned but he was still there on the roof. he groaned inside and opened one eye to look at Sean when he was turned away

Sean worked through lunch and around dinner time he stopped for the night. He wiped some sweat from his face and looked over his work. "Ahh... there we go... now lets see if there is anything I can cook to eat." He said walking to the kitchen.

Yuki finally shifted to normal and looked down before scurrying down in his fox form to try and find more fruits for Sean to eat. after a long search, he came back with a branch in his mouth and jumped up, shifting to his human-like form and knocking on the back door

Sean was busy looking around when he heard the knock. He walked over and opened the door, "Oh hey.... shrine boy.... Uh... whats up?" He asked not knowing his name.

"I brought you some fruits from the forest. Heard that you were going to be staying here" he nodded and handed him the large branch "the leaves are good for tea and the fruit is good to eat as well" he nodded and blushed behind his mask, still feeling tingly from being cleaned earlier "and my name is Yuki by the way"
