Tao closed the map, and opened his eyes. His sharp gaze pierced through the child that wished to be lieutenant. Tao moved his jaw side to side, showing his aggravation to the child. Along with that, Tao leaned back in his chair and swung his left leg over his right, leaning back in his chair.
"What makes you so qualified to be a Lieutenant?" Tao asked, his husky voice quite now that he didn't need to shout. Tao's hands held each other, intertwined with each other. Without Kenton noticing that in fact they where a bit sweaty, it showed despite Tao's aggravation, that he was nervous.
Tao was anxious, still not use to contact with people. Plus, this child dare to walk into his office so bluntly demanding a spot whom Tao barely even knew. There was a reason he had no lieutenant. Tao didn't find a need for one, Tao was perfectly capable of handling things on his own, as he has in the past.
To add, Tao clearly wasn't going to just hand over such a spot. This child in front of him needed to prove himself, not by words, but by actions. Kento would probably think of this as fighting, which he'd be wrong, oh so wrong about.
Being a Lieutenant isn't just about fighting, its about leadership. A lieutenant is basically a Captain, just weaker. When a Captain is busy, which he or she often is, the Lieutenant would take over the Captain's responsibilities. Kenton probably hadn't even realized any of this. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

三 Kenton Williams 三 ╄━ `•.¸¸.•´´¯`••.¸¸.•´´¯`•´ ━╃ Kenton knew that he might ask that question so he took a deep breath and started to explain himself "Captain I know you find social interaction hard, believe me I know how you felt. Back when I found my self here in the soul as a child I knew no one and wanted nothing to do with them so I secluded myself. Only was it when I joined the academy was it that I made a few friends and life seemed a bit better for me.The main reason sir that I want to become a lieutenant is because I want to be your partner and to give you some emotional and physical support in battle and in general life. I will understand if you do turn me down for the role and that is all I have to say for myself". After his explanation he stepped back and kept eye contact waiting for the answer. Kenton hoped the man might see some logic behind the reason and might give Kenton the chance to work with him. ╄━ `•.¸¸.•´´¯`••.¸¸.•´´¯`•´ ━╃

Tao had slammed his hands harshly on the desk and shot himself up. He looked just as furious as his actions. Sure, Tao had a cold deminor, but this one that was being shown now was a bit scary. Kenton probably could have heard a light growling coming from Tao.
Tao, furious with this child's actions, removed his hands from the desk, he could have sworn there was a bit of an indent on the desk. Tao nearly pushed the desk aside as he stalked across the room to were Kenton stood. Tao stood rather close for anyone's liking, he stared hard down on Kenton, his eyes even scarier from before. They where menacing, like they wanted to cause harm. Tao leaned his head down to the lanky child's high, his forehead nearly pressed against Kenton and nearly growled at him "You dare say that to me?" Tao spoke in a low growl, as if it had intent to harm. Tao was furious with what Kenton had said, clearly it showed.
Tao didn't like the fact Kenton brought up that Tao wasn't keen on social interaction, that's something someone should never do, its like pressing rubbing alcohol to a wound. It was something that you should never do without care. Plus, the man brought up was seemed like emotional support, this man must be crazy. How can Tao place his trust in a child who blindly come in here asking for a high position.
Tao raised his head, nearly was seemed a foot taller than Kenton and spoke again "If you understand that I'll turn you down, then you are not ready for this position." Tao said sharply and harshly. It was like ripping off a band-aid. Tao brought his hands behind his back and wrapped one around another. Tao gave a quick sharp glance at the man, the man seemed to want to be apart of Tao's life, in what seemed something other than just a Lieutenant. At leas that's what the man came across as.
Sleekly walking back to his desk, Tao grabbed from underneath his zanpakuto. It made sense to take it off in his office, it was a place for relaxation. Tao strapped it back on and looked at the pathetic child in front of him "If you think you are oh so prepared to be a Lieutenant, then you will accompany me to the world of the living." ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

三 Kenton Williams 三 ╄━ `•.¸¸.•´´¯`••.¸¸.•´´¯`•´ ━╃ As his Captain shouted at him Kenton for the first time saw his rage and maybe pent up aggression. Kenton took the risk and so he stood as still as possible and took it as best he could, even when Tao came up close to him. He dared move because he knew that the man was dangerous at this point and did not need edging on. "This is going to be a tough one" he thought as the Captain went to retrieve something, he thought he saw a shiny object and turned slightly pale as he saw the object in all its glory. It was his Zanpakuto, "Is he going to kill me!?" he wondered as the man brought it up.
Although the captain looked like he was going to kill him, he thought that that Zanpakuto looked kind of angelic in its sealed state. He then realized the Captain was strapping it to himself so Kenton sighed. As the captain walked up to the door he nodded and just walked behind him like a lost sheep following the shepherd. "I will be more than happy to sir" he answered. It seemed that Kenton had to take a risk in order to breakthrough to the man and maybe see a more pleasant side. No matter what though he knew he could die for this man and that he was in the right squad after all. Content with the out come he started to wonder what the Captain had to do in the world of the living.

Why in the world would Tao cause harm to someone in his own division. Wait, now that he thought about it, that might be something he would do. Despite it all, he wasn't this time.
Fixing his zanpakuto, Tanka waltzed his way over to the stairs, turning his head to see the child following him like a slave, Tao couldn't tell if this was going to be annoying or entertaining. There was only one way to find out. Tao closed his eyes for a second or so, moving his jaw side to side, trying to calm his anger that had built up.
A moment later, Tao eyes shot open and he was making his way up stairs. Weather the child would follow or not, Tao didn't care. After that, Tao would walk away from his squad and travel up to the gates and spend his time in the world of the living like he should have quite a while ago

三 Kenton Williams 三 ╄━ `•.¸¸.•´´¯`••.¸¸.•´´¯`•´ ━╃ Kenton Soon picked up the pace as they walked out of the office and towards the stairs. He now knew that he had to prove himself and that all the training he did was going to hopefully pay off. He knew that He had to master his new technique but the Captain would only see the electrical manipulation side and his Inzuma Bimu in action if needed. Even Arashin wanted Kenton to master Shikai so they have been working together to become one and more powerful.
As Kenton walked behind the captain he wondered what made the captain like he was and who might be responsible if it was anyone's fault. The man probably meant well and even Kenton had to admit that his little speech was a step too far but maybe a step forward to a powerful relationship for the both of them, Kenton would have to become more powerful for Tao and he was ready to to so. All he needed now was Tao to notice his efforts. *Kenton follows the captain* ╄━ `•.¸¸.•´´¯`••.¸¸.•´´¯`•´ ━╃

三 Kenton Williams 三 ╄━ `•.¸¸.•´´¯`••.¸¸.•´´¯`•´ ━╃ Today was going to be a strange one, Kenton could feel it. He woke up in a wierd position and had felt odd all morning. He was now walking through the Barracks of Squad three to collect any letters or deliveries the Captain needed him to deliver and to see what Captain Tao needed him to do for the day. Although his day had been straight forward as usual, something was amiss but he could not put his finger on it. He stopped for a moment and placed his hand on Arashin and closed his eyes breifly. He knew Arashin wanted to talk with him for a while as they always used to generally chat with eachother on previous experiences the two went through with eachother and the last time they talked was a month ago. His mind went fuzzy as he made the connection and he felt the falling sensation he had grown custom to as he landed softly in the field.
The thunder storm that was always brewing above was more calm than usual and the Reichi cracks in the ground were glowing more so than he remembered. He walked among the grass for a while until he saw the man lying down. Kenton walked up to him and lay next to him as they always did. "You seem to be more calm today, what has changed to make you this way?" Kenton asked the man as he looked up at the sky. " Don't you feel it? Ever since mastering me you know how I work and we work with eachother more, therefore we become stronger rather than you leeching off me for power," Arashin said in a light tone. Kenton looked into the clouds as they began to circle above him which indicated there was movement near him on the outside. He sighed and closed his eyes as he thought back to when they used to fight all the time."I feel like we might have known eachother several lifetimes ago, and we might have been really good friends, now look at us. You becoming a powerful soul reaper and me fighting at your side. We make a good team Kenton, don't ever forget that" Arashin said as the clouds began to swirl faster now. Kenton opened his eyes and he was back in the barracks of squad three and he smiled to himself.
He carried on walking till he walked up to the captains quarters and he walked up to the Captains office door. He also remembered when the Captain had first taken him out to the world of the living and encountering the espada there. He did not understand the man back then but he really wanted to, time went by and he now knew a bit more about Tao and when not to annoy the man. He especially did not want to be used as a target when the captain released his weapon. Kenton shuddered at the thought and knocked on the door. ╄━ `•.¸¸.•´´¯`••.¸¸.•´´¯`•´ ━╃

Perhaps it was a relatively short time seeing as he was over 400 years old now. During this period, the Ash war came to an end and Tao felt left out like usual. He had little to do with it, it quite angered him. He was nothing but a black splotch on a page at which no one paid attention to. Till this day, no one had attempted to communicate with Tao, besides a silly child named Kenton. He was an eager fellow, wanting to gain Tao's trust and learn from him. Tao already knew the child's intentions was to become Lieutenant, but Kenton wasn't ready, Tao knew that much.
Tao sat aimlessly in his office now. Of course, a book in hand, Tao wondered when the kid would come a bug him. Usually he'd come a bit after 12, the purpose being to collect papers and to see if the Captain was up for training. Nearly every day Tao would agree, but wouldn't teach the kid. He'd just watch. Tao did enjoy fighting, but not with a comrade. Ether way, Tao was curious. He kept quite, the only sound coming from the room was music which was coming out of a music box that he had found in the World of the Living.
Reading and reading, Tao enjoyed the peaceful silence that sat in the room like a good friend, which would be interrupted by a knock. Tao took a deep breath in and brought it out in a sighing motion. It was about time. Tao set his book down on the lowered table, stood, and walked quietly to the bottom of the steps. He looked up them, though it was pointless, the stairs being in a jagged form, Tao couldn't see all the way up. However, it was to call the kid, who he knew by the spiritual pressure.
"You can come in...." Tao spoke loud enough to travel up the stairs and to the door above. Tao would sigh lightly and make his way over to his desk. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

三 Kenton Williams 三 ╄━ `•.¸¸.•´´¯`••.¸¸.•´´¯`•´ ━╃ Pushing the door open Kenton walked in as usual and bowed when he saw Tao, "Good Afternoon Captain, Is there any deliveries you need to be made? oh and what are the outstanding tasks you needed me to do this week?" he asked after standing up straight, The man infront of him was an introvert at heart and Kenton was the total opposite. He knew the Captain still saw him as a silly child but he did not let that offend him anymore. He looked around and saw the office as it had not changed at all since he joined. He was going to ask the Captain again for some training but he figured that he would say no again so he kept quiet as he waited for his orders.
The fact that Tao still would not do so was annoying at sometimes so he just trained with a few others and by himself. It was not so practical anymore but it would have to do. On the other hand Arashin was good to train with but he was a chilled zanpakuto and he preferred to just talk rather than train like they had to recently. They had became friendly with each other so it had become more awkward. ╄━ `•.¸¸.•´´¯`••.¸¸.•´´¯`•´ ━╃

Tao sat comfortably on his chair and shuffled through some papers and shook his head once, looking up at the kid with his sharp eyes "Day's are peaceful now, business is slow." Tao's sharp gaze lost contact as he looked back down at his papers and shuffled them back into place.
Tao soon leaned back into his chair and crossed his arms. He tilted his head and looked at the kid in front of him "How many training hours have you completed?" Tao's husky voice boomed through the room. It had always become obvious he had opened up a bit with the kid, of course Tao was still closed off, but somehow he had opened up a bit for him. At least in conversation.

三 Kenton Williams 三 ╄━ `•.¸¸.•´´¯`••.¸¸.•´´¯`•´ ━╃ Kenton respected the man and in a way, Tao was his only farther figure he looked up at. People saw that and even asked the boy what the captain liked and what made him smile. The only thing that Kenton knew that made the man smile was a good book to read. He gave Tao a small pile of them every human Christmas and Tao would always ask why he did this. Kenton would smile and walk away. Now as he stood there and Tao was commenting he would smile and nod,"Yes sir and I do like it when the world seems right like it does now," he answered.
He shuffled where he was and kept eye contact with the man until he asked something out of the norm. Kenton stood there for a moment and thought to himself,"Well I have been training everyday for 5 hours, and on third of the time was on Kido, another part on shikai and the rest was on raising his own spirit pressure so he could do that thing that Tao could when he blocks moves with his own hands,". He looked back ant the man and cleared his throat,"I have been training in the caves on the outskirts of the Roukon district for five hours everyday. Evenly spread out so I improve in all aspects of being a soul reaper. The when I patrol I find hollows that threaten other souls and practice on those," he stated. "Why would the captain be interested in that? He has never seen my shikai, nor has he even touched or sparred with him," Kenton thought to himself as he stood there. ╄━ `•.¸¸.•´´¯`••.¸¸.•´´¯`•´ ━╃

It was unheard of also to do something like that without orders. Its division sevens job for the Seireitei-Rukongai Diplomacy to take under their wings. So it was out of order and unjust to go about and do what he did. Tao was about the law, despite what he had done in the past. He was a Captain, he had to keep that law also.
Tao licked his lips once, once more, no emotions spread across his face before he moved his hands around a bit. The large, slim and pale fingers found their ways into his uniform pockets before leaning back into his chair a bit. Tao gave off the feeling of a relaxed Captain with a strict a** face. His posture was mighty and powerful with a tender exterior.
"You know well enough that it is against our jurisdiction to go beyond our walls let alone do a task that does not involve you." Tao spat out, already on the fence about what one of his members was doing. "There is plenty of space in our facility to train...It is the job of division seven to patrol those areas and stop what hollows that might stroll through, which is rare. The reason behind the hollows is more thank likely due to your presence." Tao kicked up his leg and swung it over the other.
His stance now was hands in pockets, body leaned back, and legs crossed at the knee. Tao tilted his head a bit once more to be more relaxed "Why would you go outside the training grounds to do training?" ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

Our duty is the protection of the Seireitei's walls and it's security. The areas I was in were the surrounding areas of the walls where the gate keepers were based." he stated while looking at his weapon. He smiled to himself and he took his hand of Arashin and relaxed his body. Division Seven has gotten annoyed with whomever might be dissipating the hollows out there. You are the only one whom disappears for a long period of time. Its obvious in our squad when we have check ups frequently." Tao stated ever so bluntly. Tao locked his jaw a bit thinking.
Tao's sharp gaze kept locked on the kid, it made nearly everyone scared, frightened, nervous, and perhaps feel a bit awkward but there was always a reason behind it. One that he was not yet ready to release. However, he was ready to release his statement on the kid and knock a bit of sense into him. Tao locked his jaw once more before he continued to speak "Who among your comrades do you think poses a threat? Everyone in this division trains together, you come across as stuck up." Tao stated a fact at which was thought among the members. Though he knew they were simply curious of why a seated officer had such special privileges to go and keep his training secret.
"You are a seated officer, you will not destroy anything. Lieutenants and Captains have to worry about such things." Tao said sharply, Kenton made it seem like he was such a powerful being when he couldn't match up to a Lieutenant yet. The power between a Lieutenant, Captain, and a seated officer was great. It was undeniable. "Also....The Third Division is the protection of the World of the Living and backup if necessary, nothing to do with the Seireite's walls or the security of it."
Tao sighed a bit and sat back up on his chair, laying back on it was causing a bit of a disturbance. He then got comfortable and looked back up at the kid who probably was a bit speechless. It had probably been a while sense Tao talked this much, but it was to be expected from a mini lecture. 三 Kenton Williams 三 ╄━ `•.¸¸.•´´¯`••.¸¸.•´´¯`•´ ━╃ The man was cold, oh so very cold. That was a truth about the captain that was true and Kenton always seemed to get the full load. "I'm sorry captain, It will not happen again," he said as he bowed in apology. The true reason behind Kenton training secretly was because he knew the captain would fight him soon, and when they did fight he wanted the captain to witness his power for the first time in a combat environment. Kenton straightened himself up and looked into the mans stone cold eyes. "The eyes are the doorway into ones soul, however the captain has somehow managed to close his from the world," he thought to himself. "Do I have permission to leave now captain?" he asked in a toneless voice. All the boy ever wanted to do was to impress the man. It was almost impossible and for the first time Kenton knew he was not going to be enough to open the man's heart.
Kenton had to be able to become more powerful, enough to be noticed by others. "From now on, I will train not for Tao. I will train to become something even more powerful," he said to himself in his own mind. ," Arashin said as he appeared behind Kenton. The boy smiled and laughed quietly to himself.
