⌠ Arc Imishi ⌡

Arc's sharp withdrawl of the nodaichi would keep him out of the initial explosion, how the blade had failed to even cause a slight dent in the shield was sort of surprising especially given that its owner had held it fast. The energy was penetrating in nature and while it might have struck another energy source it did so at far to fine a point to be countered with an evenly distributed offensive strike. Arc had to assume that his opponent had some how predicted the exact point of impact, and the amount of force involved, and met it with identical force.
It wouldnt matter how it was done, the explosion would rip outward in each direction equally, applying just as much push to each individual more if anything to the Shieldsman because he provided a resistant force. Where as Arc let himself be picked up and blown like a piece of paper in a wind storm. If his opponent with no solid footing thanks to the nature of the asphalt was not moved an inch then surely there was something else going on. Arc was thrown with more than enough force to send him sprawling and rolling across the pavement. Scraped and yet more bloody from an attack which should have punched through about a foot of solid steel reflecting off of thin air.
Still Arc was trained in this type of thing, and his tumble would end awkwardly ended by the three hanging sheathes. The result would be him coming to a stop on his left knee his right extended behind him bent to the ground. During his tumbling flight he had lost his hold on the nodaichi, and was forced to watch it skitter back under the dumpster behind him. A growl would be clear on the swordsman's face as the shields-man peeked across the shield. With deft hands he removed, the sheathe of the nodaichi and slid it out of the way.
Calm radiated from the angel as yet another attack left his opponent untouched. It was long past time the man took even a scratch of damage, very few people could tank all the damage from the attack he had just used directly without getting out of the way. The attack was specifically designed to pierce defenses. It was a curious thing striking the exact center of the shield with a devastating piercing strike and watching it rebound a near impossibility. In truth had the attack struck the shield even reinforced it would not have bounced as it did. It should have acted as a pushing force if it could not penetrate.
Breathing hard he gathered himself to his feet with basically the whole forty feet between himself and his opponent. Slowly he would steady his breathing, even if his opponent advanced, anything short of a bull rush would give him plenty of time to react. One of the things he would do with that time, would be to move the wakizashi from his left hip, to his right hip.

₪₪Glittering Edge₪₪ Attached to the intonation: kagayaku ejji, This technique uses Shiroi Karasu to project light as a combination and advanced form of sanctified strike. While the attack generates light it is not crafted of light rather instead it is crafted of an angels heavenly energy. This strike projects a single incredibly powerful wave of heavenly energy from the edge of the white raven nodachi which is itself fittingly appropriate. The attack is easy to read if the blade is already drawn but is a shifty strike if used as a draw spell. (Preparation two rounds.) (Cooldown five rounds.)
