Anamosa Valentine Your roll for the curve was 7, Babi but the minimum roll required to pass the curve was 8. You lost one point.
Do you want to attempt to roll again or choose to slow down and lose 2 points to get past the curve? Uh, I choose to draft?..can I?..

Can't draft until after successfully passing the curve. Plus you'll have to be within three after finishing the curve.

1) Attempt to roll again and try to get 8 or higher handling speed in order to pass the curve. You can do this four mour times. You'll lose a point for each time your roll is lower than 8 (on the fourth time, the total pts lost will be 7).
Or...
2) Choose to slow down. This will allow you to pass over the curve but lose only 2 points in the process.

You also have the option of using your handling skill point like I mentioned earlier, blu. It's the same as not slowing down, but you have 3 chances of hitting a number 8 or above rather than just 1 per roll.

Okay Blu, you slow down, but you lose a total of 3 points (1st attempt to pass curve failed, plus 2 pts for slowing down). You may want to buy upgrades for your car after the race.
