What was this? Were they going to waste time doing flips or chase after her - it seemed to be working however as Halith paid his call no heed but answered the more flamboyant dragons instead. Furious...but staying his claws as a gentleman should Plexith followed her sharp turn with a graceful roll of his own, flaring his broad wings only to roll the other way as he chased her. You see..he could pull off pretty maneuvers too.

SEE! Asoth was the best... she watched him... oh Asoth was happy, she was watching HIM, see how clever he was. He swung to the side then did a loop, ending up behind another male, touching his tailtip before shooting underneath him and forwards again, LOOK!, his very being seemed to say "LOOK AT ME!" She would be HIS.... surely .. she would see that he was the best, he would catch her and show her that he was! He let out a warble to her that ended in a pleasing croon.
(if anyone wants to be the male Asoth showed off to Halith with, it's all cool.. he didn't put anyone off flying, just showing how clever he is XD)

Opeth wasted no time in flipping or spinning or anything else. Every ounce of his energy was focused, focused on the female, the prize he wished to snatch out from under the noses of the lumbering bronzes and browns.
Fingers flexing Xan paced up and down in front of the weyr, hissing in frustration as a brown gained ground on them; the green was theirs! They wouldn't let it be any other way.

(( I will take that opportunity Rev ^_^ )) Calanoth trumpeted his pleasure as she echoed his maneuver. Lets see what the other males thought of that! He twisted in the air, following her turn as close as his larger body could. His focus on Halith was jarred as suddenly a brown had snuck behind him, then was suddenly beneath him! Calanoth growled quietly and 'kicked' downwards at the brown, a beat of his wings creating the illusion that he had jumped off the dragon's back.
ON the ground Z'fer echoed his dragon's growl. How DARE that dragon try to draw her attention from HIM. Z'fer ungracefully jostled another man out of his way as he crowded closer to Ceta's side.

Again, Asoth was what drew her attention. Halith's eyes sparkled at his quick flip and the sudden burst of speed. That looked like fun! Oh, that was fun! He would have to teach her that later! It was a pity she couldn't try it now...
Her flying flagged slightly, allowing the males to draw closer, as she watched Calanoth's reply maneuver. Now now, it seemed as if they were paying more attention to themselves than her! That wasn't supposed to happen, was it? She bugled to remind them to pay more attention and suddenly-- was gone between.
She reappeared behind the pack of confused males and let out a bellow of laughter, hovering for a moment before easily twining through the air again, heading out over the forests. Always best to have a view! Maybe they would land somewhere she hadn't been before afterward! That would be exciting! Oh-- right, they had to catch her first.
She glanced behind her and lashed her tail slightly. Some of the Blues were falling behind. Tut tut, who could keep up with her when she was being clever? Pfft, nobody apparently. Where was Asoth and that nice looking stranger Bronze? They had performed nicely before, but they were going to have to step it up if they wanted to get her. A trick only stayed fresh for so long, after all!

Plexith growled as Halith was sudden'y gone between..though it only took him moments to locate her again once she reappeared and flaring his wings he banked sharply in a tight wheel, crooning at her as he picked up speed once more.

Asoth was getting closer... he was almost close enough to grab her but then... there was nothing in front of him. He bellowed and looped higher above the pack behind him, hovering a little, wondering where she had gone... he had never seen a Green do that trick before... going Between was clever... ohhhho so clever, he liked this Green, perhaps they would show how great the were together! .. yess... they would show these other dragons that she and Asoth were best..... now where was she?
THERE!.. behind them? ... Asoth bugled happily and tried to turn as fast as he could, being a bigger brown others would probably manage it before he could but he was ASOTH... he was the best. He beat his aching wings harder, his tricks tiring him faster than perhaps he should have but he WAS such a large Brown... he was as big as that small bronze Pipith, so he had slightly more stamina than the average Brown... or so he hoped as he strove to catch Halith. YES!.. see.. Asoth was best!!..... He reached for the green... she would be HIS!
On the ground M'lan was close to Ceta, his heart was thudding in his chest but in his head as well. He actually bared his teeth and glared at a guy that was trying to grab at her "Watch it!" he'd snarled, so unlike him. He felt protective of Ceta right now, oh he wanted her... just like every other Dragonlust fuelled man here but she was his friend, they'd Impressed in the same clutch, had been Candidates together. he wouldn't let just anyone get past him at her. In fact.. NO ONE was getting past him... he felt Asoth catch Halith... and he closed in on Ceta, leading her into her Weyr, daring anyone to just TRY it.

She was gone! There was a momentary flash of panic from both rider and dragon when the green disappeared. Z'fer took a staggering step forward towards Ceta, suddenly seeing through his own eyes as both feared the worse. The lustful dragon trance returned as Halith reappeared, her laughter sounding both seductive and terrifying in their shared consious.
~ Clever tricks little green. ~ Calanoth complimented as he angled into a rolling spin, dropping a few dragon lengths while turning himself around at the same time. He would have to be more careful if she was going to play games like that.
Plexith's possessive growling was becoming annoying though. Cal eyed the other bronze but made no aggressive moves just yet. Instead he flipped upside down, flying with the sky below him for as long as he could hold it before he turned right side up again. He spent some of his reserved energy in attempting to get closer to her, crooning little love notes as he did so. She's drawn so far away~ Wouldn't she come closer so he could admire her agility?

Plexith was first. Well of course he was! Who knew her better than he did? She bugled back at his croon, pleased that he'd seen
through her trick. With him it was never really competition-- they were just having a joke or playing around together. It didn't bother
her that he had known what was coming well enough to get out ahead of the others; just meant it was time for something new!
But then there was another catching up to Plexith, someone he didn't seem to see. Asoth. Halith bugled a welcome to her Clutchmate. She didn't see him often, but apparently that had been a mistake. He was just as interested in having fun as she was and he was good at it too! Calanoth's upsidedown flying though-- there was a trick! She turned her head even further to watch him, amazed at the skill it must have taken to fly for so long in that position. A flash of dark brown off to the side caught her attention and she picked up speed even as she locked on to what movement had caused her to panic. Asoth had now outpaced both of the Bronzes who were still showing off and was closing the gap swiftly and with determination. Halith kept up her increased speed, trying to outdistance him again so that she could have a chance at a few more tricks.
Well, actually, it had to end some time, and Asoth had clearly shown he could match her stunt for stunt. That was impressive, especially since he was so much larger than she was. She would have to remember to ask him about that trick from earlier later, whatever it had been, but for now... well, they could always try more things later. Velath had said the Flight was fun all over and Halith was always hearing humans and dragons alike talk about Flights and human sex and what not and it seemed like that was some kind of fun she'd never had before. That would be interesting to try, and now was as good as any other time!
Although the Flight had been relatively short, Halith had made up her mind. She was bored with tricks and speed and ready for something else. She back-winged just once and Asoth was on her, twining his limbs with hers, and she welcomed him with a pleasant croon. Now she would get to see what all the talk was really about!
On the ground, Cetalese almost fell against M'lan as he began to move her back to her hut, gasping and grabbing on to him with fingers that dug into his flesh hard enough to bruise. Her eyes were distant, unfocused-- she was still Halith, for all that she had caught herself, and it wouldn't be until that evening, when everything was done, that she would be able to reflect on the Flight.
