For anyone who didn't get one/link doesn't work:
The Devs turned off the PMs while they fixed a bug. So from now until at least tomorrow, the PMs won't work if you got it and you won't get one if you weren't online before it got turned off, I'd assume. ^^

Even though I do believe Kuro is in the wrong, I sided with dark elves ;x
I am pretty sure Twilight has turned me off vampires for life (said by someone who has read nearly all of the true blood & anne rice vampire books, as well as dracula).
Plus there is just something about elves. . . emotion_dowant

Madness is exactly the right word for it... I have apparently chosen vampires, because their's was the first PM I got, and I expected the link to take me to a splash page with art and event info to get me involved, not choose arbitrarily for me. Sadly I got the PMs before the Dev note came out warning me about this, and now I'm stuck.

I made it through the first Twilight book...I wanted to like it, but didn't. Bella had no personality and Edward was about *this* close to being a creepy, abusive psycho. At least, that's how the story played out to me. sweatdrop
But like I said, I love sparkles because I'm a girly girl! mrgreen
As for choosing sides...at this point I really don't care. razz

I started reading Twilight for the vamps. Then they sparkled and got all angsty, and the only thing I ended up liking is the movie soundtracks and the wolves.
Anyway, on topic now: I chose Vamps, not from my viewpoint, but from my account character's viewpoint. Once the Kuro gang is defeated, she can march her own gang into the power void. But she'd try to protect Gaia against outside threats, while trying to foster prosperity on Gaia as well. Her father was well liked among their people for doing that.

I really like the atmosphere and the worldbuilding in Twilight, but I just don't like the characters. Except that I thought Alice was pretty cool.
As for choosing sides for RP purposes, my character...well, I have a couple of 'em. Lydia Blaise (who is my Annual Ball character that I now use when I post in word games; she's the character in my avi) is a character in a dream, so she has no vested interest in anything that goes on in the "real" Gaia world. Natalie Pierce, my character in the Four Colors Cafe, is also a secret agent, but the government organization she works for is mainly concerned with keeping casualties down from both sides. They're pretty much neutral. So neither one of my characters really has any need/reason to choose a side...which works fine for me because I don't want to have to choose right now...it's been a long day at work and I don't want to have to think! mrgreen

Hehe, I don't like Twilight either.
At all.
I just tend to bring it up whenever we mention cliche vampires, which is a lot.
(I also bring up Russian spies and Scarlett Johansson, I don't even know why.)
All I like is how they sparkle in the sun, even though the movie made it look like Edward was finally trying to get the tan he desperately needs. o:
Anyway, I chose vampire for multiple reasons:
1. The NPC who sent the PM was really cool,
2. I like vampires better than dark elves,
3. I don't like the Kuro gang,
and Louie, Durem, Louie and Von Helson (and Louie) won me over.
I mean lolwhut?

So I have to think which side I will join...probably vamp, but the dark elves sound interesting too. You should choose vampires for no reason other than that it will make Sachie happy.

Oh and as for Twilight, there's an episode of Doctor Who that sums up exactly how I feel about those books: Quote: Rory: This whole thing is mental! They're vampires, for Gods sake. Actually, like I said before, my RP characters that I use on this account don't really have a reason to choose sides one way or the other. Lydia is just a dream, so she's mostly unaware of what goes on in the "real" Gaia world, and Natalie is part of an organization that's neutral. So...yeah. I'll probably pick vampires in the end, but basically just for the sake of having a side and getting the items. mrgreen
