Xanthia smiled slightly with a sense of pride as he admired her handiwork. She was glad. She had worked her poor little derrière off on producing this replacement. “I'm glad you approve of it. It utilises a new kind of nanotechnology. There are over nine thousand receptors inside that bracelet that make up the hard drive. So long as one of them remains in tact, it will still function.” She smirked. “Over the next year, the nanorobotics would have worked their way under her skin until eventually the bracelet would be unnecessary. Then, we would have be able to track her and read her magic levels across the nearest few planets. Any further than that and she would have had a full-time escort anyway. It's almost a shame that she has to die, but perhaps we can salvage it from her limp body and spy on another?” Xanthia suggested, before producing a box from under one of the desks. “Also, I know you too well. I have a box ready for it, because I know you men get so excited about having actually remembered to buy a present that you always seem to forget the wrapping,” she sighed. “Also, are you going to get your hair cut before the ball? That smouldering princess from that bizarre planet we went to on our coming-of-age trip ten years ago is going to be there. Remember the platinum blonde? She was far too easy on the eyes for such an eyesore of a planet, don't you think?” she asked with a sigh, as she headed over to the door and opened it with a similar method to how she had opened the safe. “Come, let's go. Your sister will be opening her gifts soon and I need to fetch mine from one of the store cupboards. I thought there was no chance of her finding it, there.”

Eziuur turned and gratefully accepted the box, laying the duplicate to the original bracelet into the box. At the mention of a hair cut and then the platinum blonde princess a grin curled onto Eziuur's lips. "Yes it has been to long and I shall find her as easy on the eye's this time as before no doubt. Yes my sisters will most likely be dining with my father by now." Eziuur then turned and left leading the way towards the royal families personal dining room. They passed by Xanthia's store cupboard on the way before heading for the room.
--------
The king by nature preferred to hold his personal meals like his mother had in the families royal quarters. It was a dining area not to far from the kings own apartments, it was beautifully decorated. Behind the kings own seat at the head of a the table was a large window that opened up onto the massive balcony which they would eat out on during the hot days.
The king was already in his seat and he was waiting for his children to join him, Elleresse knew to be here, he'd sent a message to Ensautra and to Ezia just in case. Eziuur the king expected to arrive now would be the time to tell him and the rest of his children about his decision. He expected that Eziuur who though hot headed could keep his temper in check and did when in front of his siblings.

Xanthia arrived with Eziuur – their gifts for the princess in their hands – right as Ellaresse did. Xanthia eyes the girl entering from the far end of the room and forced a smile. “There, my lord, the beautiful circlet I was telling you about,” she said, to Eziuur before, bowing her head to the King. “Sire, you have impeccable taste,” she added, gesturing to Ellaresse's tiara, before placing her gift on the table. “I wish you all the best,” she said, locking gaze with Ellaresse and smiled sweetly. Too sweetly. Ellaresse had barely entered the room when froze as Xanthia wasted no time in pointing out the tiara atop her head. She glanced nervously between her brother and his assistant. She had no way of knowing for sure just how her brother felt about being pushed aside from his place as heir – as tradition would have it – but she couldn't begin to fathom how painful she suspected it may be. She'd be distraught if she'd been raised to believe she'd be next in line for the throne, only to find out someone far less qualified would be getting it. Were if her choice, she'd gladly let him have it, but something told her that even if she was able to do such a thing, he would not want her hand-me-downs. Turning to leave, Xanthia straightened up Eziuur's clothes and fiddled with his hair before giving him a gentle pat on the cheek. “I have much work to do, my lord. With all the lost data on Project Eden, I have a lot to catch up on. If you'll excuse me,” she said, bowing her head to him before doing the same to Ellaresse and the King. With that, she was gone. Ellaresse averted her gaze from Eziuur as she headed to the table and sat down beside her father who was seated at the head. She pretended to be busy fussing with her dress. Not wanting to engage in the inevitable conversation to follow.

(Smaller screen smaller post while printing work stuff!)
Eziuur was drawn to the symbol of power like a magpie to a ring. It was newly crafted most likely completed in the last week. It was much like his mother and father had taught him in his youth, each heir received a mark of ascension in the form of a crown. That would be worn until they ascended proper some time later. Despite his initial reaction Eziuur was now calm and collected and as always scheming. "Indeed father your taste is as impeccable as always. Eziuur once Xanthia had left his last words being "Indeed alert me should anything of consequence occur."
Eziuur took several measured steps placing his gift atop the pile of packages. Then he approached his sister and as always placed a peck on her cheek, Congratulations dearest sister on you succession and of course Happy Birthday." Eziuur then rose and walked around to his seat opposite Elleresse. As the only son he would always fit alone on the right, while his sisters would all sit on the left, oldest to youngest.
---------
It was shortly after the A.I. had re-obtained his memories when Ezia was required to leave. She bid the professor and her friend at the urging of her new maid, who despite how she'd gotten the job was already proving to be quite good at it. They took the scenic route towards the royal apartments entering the room through a side door. As they entered Ezia noted she wasn't the last to arrive as per usual, her father, one sister and brother were already gathered. She hurried over to the table taking the seat nearest Elleresse, she knew about the protocol but at the moment she didn't really care. As she reached the chair besides her sister, Ezia grabbed Elleresse's arm pulling it into her chest. "Happy Birthday sister! she said grinning.
The king gave the two sisters a moment or two as Ezia confessed the present she was preparing wasn't ready yet. After a moment the king cleared his throat, "Ezia my dear if you could take your seat. I have an announcement to make. Though we will give Ensautra a few more minutes to get here." The king smiled at that not seeing his eldest child's very brief look of disdain. He expected his son to be displeased but he believed that he would get over it quickly, unaware that his son had every intention of imprisoning him for the rest of his life.
