  Lance was leaning back in his chair with his arms folded across his chest when the teacher suddenly seemed to take notice of him, his eyes half-lidded as he felt on the verge of falling asleep. Hearing her tone, he blinked a few times before straightening himself. This teacher seemed overly enthusiastic about another student joining the class, even a late one (and he actually had no idea what class this was), but he guessed that's just how she was. She looked far too young to be a teacher, too, and he was wondering just how old she was when she started rummaging through her desk for whatever she was looking for (of course he hadn't listened to her say what).
He was at least thankful she wasn't as volatile as other women seemed to be.

Lance, still tapping his pen, looked up at the clock in irritation, wondering just how many hours it had been since he first wandered in here. Eleven minutes.
With a small grunt of impatience, he looked at the front board as if he could drill holes into it with his eyes, which for him, was quite easy to imagine. Quick glances around the room showed him several posters with different formulas on them. From his guess, this was either a sort of math or science classroom. But for all he knew, it could be Enlgish.

Whatever; since she couldn't find it she'd just have themintroduce themselves. It was their first day, afterall. She looked back to the door at the shy girl and lifted an eyebrow. "Hello there, go ahead and take a seat. Do you have a late pass?" Of course she would pester a girl for one; because she was a girl, obviously. She looked back at the classroom overall and twirled her bottle on the desk out of boredom. "Alright then, class, since I can't find my assignment you might as well all introduce yourselves. It is the first day, afterall. I don't feel like starting because then you won't remember about me by the time we finish. Sooooo--I'll go last. Now who wants to start?" ((ooc: are you kidding me? Life's too short not to spend it happily. Alejandro strolled on into the room, whistling a nameless tune. He was in a pretty good mood....though he still yearned to be by Kaillen longer. This class was going to be hell waiting for it to end...especially chemistry. He took once glance at the room, shrugged, and took a lonely seat in the back. Okay lady, just get this class over with already so I can see Kaillen.....he propped up his head onto his palm and dazed off.So what's your excuse?

I don't know why it just isn't that hard to me other than the fact that it's majorly boring and hard to stay awake for." He blinked and placed his head back into his palm, adding a second one this time, though. "I love swimming and surfing, they're just the best~ what about you, bud?"So what's your excuse?

Then again I have no idea how much you like the sport, so I guess I have no room to talk." He suddenly corrected himself. "And I wouldn't really mind helping if you can't figure it out, it's nice to help people once in a while." He thought back to all the kids he helped at the orphanage and how they tried to repay him in cute ways. He smiled at the memory and stared down at the chemistry teacher. She looked awfully young for a chemistry teacher, he expected to see an old crone like in those highschool movies he'd seen back at the orphanage.So what's your excuse?
