Lilian walked out of the base and slowly made her way into the near by forest. So calm....those were her first thoughts as she entered this place. She sighed softly closing her eyes as she felt the wind lightly creasing her skin as it blew by. She felt at peace. A rare calm look appeared on her features as she took the feeling and sounds from all around her. She could feel the wind making her hair dance lightly. There was music around her. The birds as they sang, the near by river with gentle rush of the water. The wind as it made the tall grass dance with it.

Lilian slowly opened her eyes as she looked around her. She stopped walking. Noticing her thoughts had brought her to that river she was hearing not to long ago. She moved and slowly walked up to a near by rock and sat down to look at the gentle stream "I should not feel...yet I feel so alone. No, emotions are useless and a waist....I shall not....will not drown myself to think such weaknesses...." she whispered to herself with narrowed eyes while looking at her reflection.

The water lapped against Azryal's legs as he stood in the middle of the river. It had been a late time leaving the classroom, and he had decided that some time alone in the forest would do his mind some good. Even though the wind was chilling him down to the bone he refused to forget his training. Discipline was key to keep his emotions in check. Especially now in a new place beyond the norm.

Shifting his body, he slid the short sword along the length of his arm and took another step through the ankle deep water. His eyes and ears didn't miss much as he focused on the small bits of sound that chirped around him. It was as if the forest came alive in times like this.

Alice flapped her wings, looking over the forest for any signs of a human. She saw a figure wading in water, deciding that was Mr. A.

After having wandered out of the school, Azryal felt that some down time would calm his senses. He had just committed a serious mistake in front of a student and what was worse, he may have done permanent damage to Naku's emotional state. You just had to go off and scare them. There supposed to learn themselves Az. Let it go.

He found his spot by the river and pulled off the robe letting it fall to the ground. Pain wracked his body where there were still bandages. Ones that had not simply fallen off yet. He groaned. The blood had stained the inside of his shirt. So he took that off to, dunking it in the water.

Naku stepped cautiously through the forest. He was spooked by a sudden hoot of an owl above him. The boy continued forward, hearing the strange sounds. They brought him back to the time his father would help him train...

They walked through the forest, his father leading the way. A crow cawed, frightening the young Naku. He raced up to his father. "Dad, why are we out here? Won't they notice that you left the farm." His father glanced down at the boy, stopping only for a short moment.
"No, son, they don't keep a close eye ever since they made these tracking devices and wrapped shackles on our wrists." The man pointed out the silver bands on his wrists. Naku nodded, remembering how the bands suppressed all powers. A chuckle came from his dad. Naku looked forward and noticed an opening in the forest. Sun rays flowed down and highlighted the tops on the grass blades. A few birds flew through the opening, tweeting happily. A smile spread over the young Naku's face. "We are here, Naku."
His father yanked Naku into the field laughing. The boy giggled, too. "Now, we must start your training, young one. But I have one rule. Don't tell your mother." His father held a strict face, but eventually the two burst into laughter.
"I wish everyday was like this, Dad!" Naku hugged his father. The warmth of his skin felt refreshing on Naku's cheek.

Naku was now sitting on a large rock. A tear ran down the side of his face. I will avenge you someday, Father. I promise. The boy

Azryal moved through the brush at a blistering pace, trying to keep up with the wind. He wasn't being followed. Which was great, because he might have had to kill someone. Each tree whistled by quickly as me made his way gently through the forest, trying to get to Naku. The boy was there. Just simply to far away to yell or call for.

He landed on his feet and skidded to a quiet halt. Surprisingly, his injuries were not to heavy to sustain a landing as such. He took this into account. Maybe I'll be able to make some headway.

The teacher stepped aside a large tree and out into a small clearing. Tapping the young man on the shoulder from atop the boulder. "Didn't I tell you to wait for me at the edge of the grounds?" He asked sternly.

Naku jumped when he felt tap on his shoulder. He looked up to find Mr. Azryal right behind him. "Oh, um...I guess I forgot, sorry." He stood up to greet the man. "It's nice to see you again, sir." He smiled, getting a bit excited for what was to come. "So what is it that you plan to do?"

Azryal turned his head to look away from Naku. He scanned the area around them, as if he was looking for some hidden enemy that might strike at any moment. There was a cold calculated expression on his face. One that suggested he may have been agitated recently. It wasn't something he usually showed in any situation. Suddenly, he turned his back on Naku and spoke. "Being.. sorry, does not cut it out here. I told you to wait for me at the edge of the woods. Are we clear?" He asked. The wind rustled loudly around them. Trees and leaves abounded together creating a symphony of nature, and it surrounded them with ease.

His black hair billowed in the wind, but he did not face Naku directly.

Naku gazed up at Mr. Azryal. He cocked head to the side. Why is he so serious? Naku stood up.
"Well, sorry is all I have at the moment. I won't do it again, so we are clear." Naku hestitated. "What are you so concerned about anyway?" The boy didn't see any danger in the forest. It was like his safe haven. He was so used to being with his father in such places and it was always safer for them than being in the slave fields.

For a moment he was quiet. The teacher in him was beginning to grow into a protective state. An emotion he didn't ever think would become a person like who he was. Azryal lowered his head and sighed heavily, letting out a long breath to calm his tired soul. Relaxation was out of the question. He needed to be vigilant.

He turned around and lifted his hands up in a lesson-like gesture. "Naku, in life, there are virtues that we must learn out side of shikiichi. Certain values like patience, discipline, trust, courage and hard work.. are things you and I must always strive for." Azryal lifted his other hand and closed his eyes. "Our strength does not just come from things like power, abilities and emotions."

Then he opened them and smiled. "You and I are men. There is something to say about that. As a fellow man, I value myself as a teacher and protector of my students. As a young man and student, you deserve to have self respect for yourself by staying aware..." He trailed off and then a crease of worry blossomed on his brow."Both of my masters, and all of the pupils I was a part of died."

Naku gazed at his teacher. The poor man seemed worn out and troubled. Naku felt bad for his misbehavior and lowered his head. He nodded as Mr. Azryal spoke. Naku knew all these things, but had never really taken it to heart. And he greatly respected his teacher, even if he failed to show it sometimes.
Mr. Azryal let his words drift in the air and all was silent. Naku was going to speak up and apologize again, but then the teacher spoke up. Naku's eye grew wide as he took it in, but as it settled his face changed to a puzzled look. "Have you fallen under a curse? How could all of them..." The boy left his sentence incomplete, not wanting to think about the final word. He knew he should feel terrified as if he was next in line, but he didn't. Instead, he felt sorrow. The man had suffered for years. Naku couldn't imagine having a similar life. "I'm sorry, Mr. Azryal...for all of your loss."
