His teeth were sharper than moss and his ears were elongated and sprouted tiny hairs as if they belonged to an animal. Scientists found his appearance intriguing and deemed him the 'wolf boy'. They offered his mother millions of dollars to test on Rudolf. Accepting the offer - they moved him to Antarctica to do isolated experiments. At the age of 15 he become frustrated with all the testing and experiments and ran away into the cold wastelands where he quickly learned to survive. He once tried interacting with other humans but they shunned him away and threatened to call the Testing agency. Rudolf now keeps to himself and survives on his one in the icy tundras of Antarctica.

His parents died of old age when he was eighteen and he was on his own with the exception of Min being by his side. He had taken up a job at a pizza shop in Wirral to work with Min, so he knows the streets inside and out.

Roman was somehow separated from Min when the outbreak happened and was forced to kill Min's girlfriend when she turned into a walker. His mentality is a bit bent out of shape and without Min he feels helpless.

When his parents scrounged up enough money he moved to Wirral. He met Roman, his best friend, when he was only about five and they had become inseparable. Even though their bond was strong he refrained from telling his friend that he was a werewolf in fear that he would run the other way. The two friends spend countless hours together and even share a job for a pizza delivery service.

Sonya lived a normal life in Russia. Though she was expected to become an obedient housewife by the time she was 18, she aspired to become a solider in her father Herald's army. Of course her parents refused to let her become the warrior she wished to be and arranged a marriage for their daughter. At the age of 21, Sonya fled from her soon-to-be-husband and joined her father's legions through trickery and lies. On the battle field Sonya's troop was ambushed, leaving most dead and the woman fatally wounded. Before her death, a vampire happened to find her and took pity on the woman. When Sonya awoke a week later she had a horrible thirst for blood - she was now a vampire herself.
