Brenden took a deep breath and walked inside. The house was pitch black and he pulled a small key chain light out and turned it on. "Come on Maria..."

"Right behind you..." She squeaked. The small light in Brenden's hand was not much help against the dark. "Where did Alyx go? This place is creepy..."

"I have no idea where he went...Alyx, where are you?" He took a few steps forward and the door slammed shut and he could hear the grinding of the bolts being drawn home.
"Welcome to my humble home, I hope you enjoy your stay." An echo of evil laughter soon followed.
Alyx came running towards Brenden and tripped on a lose floor board, falling to his face in front of them.

"I think we upset the ghost already...." Maria grabbed Brenden's sleeve without thinking. "Alyx, you ok?" She asked quietly, her green eyes scanning the darkness.

Alyx stumbled to his feet and hid behind Brenden. "I'm fine..."
Brenden gave Alyx a look. "That's one ghost so far...and I have the feeling there will be more..."
Peter watched them from the top of the staircase. Be safe young ones, least you die as I did...

"More? Isn't one enough?" Maria looked up at Brenden. "We shouldn't have come guys.... This is crazy... I'm out of here...." Maria reached for the door, pulling on the handle. "Oh come on, really?" She sighed. "It's locked... Of course it's locked..."

"No duh it's locked...don't you watch horror movies?" Alyx moved away from Brenden. "It's all his fault."
Brenden sighed. "One week guys...the letter I got said we'd be given food and sleeping bags and all that...we just need to find the dinning hall..." Brenden moved the beam of his flashlight around.

Maria glared at Alyx. "Yes I watch horror movies.... " She crossed her arms over her chest. "So where in the world would the dinning hall be?"

"Follow me." Brenden's light bobbed up and down as he walked through the pitch black house. As he walked along he found a dusty light switch and flicked it up. A slight humming noise started and stopped as the lights flickered on. "Found it..."
A huge room stood before them and a big table filled it. On the table lay four sleeping bags, four pillows and four covered plates.
"I wonder whats for dinner?"

Maria shrugged. "As long as the ghost doesn't decided to show up I don't care....."

"Wait a sec....there's four of everything, and only three of us..."
Alyx shrugged and moved over to the table. Pulling the cover off one of the plates he smiled. "Cheese burgers and fries..."
Brenden followed him and did the same. "Same for me, how about you Maria?"

Maria nodded. "Same...." Her eyes drifted to plate number four. "Are we sure nobody followed us in here? Please tell me that number four is for a living person....."

Brenden lifted the cover off plate number four and underneath was a letter. "Umm...ok.." He unfolded it and read it out loud. " 'Welcome humble guests. You will be staying here for one week and if all of you make it out alive, of which I highly doubt, you will recive $20,000 dollars each.' Sounds like fun...not.."
Alyx stepped away from the food and stumbled back. "I want outta here..."

Peter appeared before them. "Once you're in here, there is no leaving..."
Brenden stumbled back and knocked Alyx over, landing on top of him. "What do you mean?"
Alyx's face turned red as he pushed Brenden off.. "We're stuck is what he means...."
