"Blue?" Kit pondered this. Such an odd color for milk, but if it tasted good, it was fine all the same. "Erm..."she thought on a response to Tetro's question, "Well...not starving, exactly...but it was terrible food...at least the rats kept my hunting skills sharp," she nodded proudly. Rats made great snacks. At least she had praise for keeping their numbers down, but anyone who tried to take her as a pet, even if just for that purpose, found themselves visiting the local hospital more often than enjoying a new pet. Kit grinned menacingly at the thought. She enjoyed showing others who's boss if they thought they could tame her for their own bidding. Her tail now flicked into action, calculating and methodic as she thought back on events.

Tetroneaque's eyes went a little wide as he heard at the conditions that Kit was used to. "You had to hunt vermin to survive? That's terrible! Well, you won't have to worry about that here... I'll make sure of that I assure you!" The Kit'aru declared in a firm tone, angry that anyone would treat another thinking and living being in such a fashion. "We'll have other ways to keep your skills sharp anyway. There are several training rooms with various purposes. Maybe we'll be able to train together a bit later on." He smiled at that and finished off the juice he had then poured himself some of the blue milk and took a sip.

Kit was a bit confused at Tetro's disgust, "You act as if hunting rats is a bad thing..." her ears drooped, "It's FUN and they make good snacks!" she informed cheerilym "It was only not as challenging due to the fact they were fattened with all the good stuff we weren't allowed to eat, but if you have something better...hmm...BIRDS?! You have birds?! are they big birds? Are they fast? are they hard to catch?!! OOOH I want me some birdsssss" she burst out babbling loudly, hyper from the sweets and good food, almost leaping to the table top and bounding around the room, but she held some self restraint. Still the excitement was too much, the thought of hunting something better than lowly rats... amusing.

Tetroneaque was a little confused at Kit's reaction, hunting rats for food was bad by his measure. No one should have to rely on that as a source of food! He decided to keep those thoughts to himself though, not wanting to offend Kit. "Birds? Well there are a lot of birds and other creatures that live in the jungles and forest around the Temple. Some are quite massive and I wouldn't attempt to confront them without a weapon of some sort. Oh! I guess you will be needing a weapon later on if you wish to leave the Temple grounds... I could probably take care of that too." Tetroneaque was already thinking of what type of weapons Kit might like. He automatically tossed out the idea of her using a lightsaber as he couldn't sense the Force in her. That didn't mean she didn't have it, but he doubted she did.

Thanatos was busily feeding Rage and Violence their lunch-time meal. There appetite was increasing which hinted to their continued growth. Soon they would be able to hunt on their own. For now though he needed to teach them how to hunt. The kitchen staff always warily let him in, giving him plenty of room to clean his kills. Besides, he had always cleaned after himself. Cleaning the cutting utensils he often used. He stepped into the kitchens to overhear a babble of something about birds. He peered at the newcomer: obviously female, but her specific race was hard to judge. Their were many feline species in the known galaxy. Her aura, like Tetro had a tinge of innocence, however hers was more...common sense? Street smart? He could not find the right word in his vague dictionary. However, upon entering the Kitchen, Rage and Violence saw them and entered Thanatos' robes. Before they had trailed behind him in order to gain some exercise as Thanatos instructed. Right now though, the trip was over so they hid themselves.
Thanatos said, "Hunt? Why yes, I have been." As if the fresh carcass of a fully grown Kath hound was not evident enough. Its blood still trailing the ground behind him and a gash on its neck where his teeth had been. In fact Thanatos forgot he had blood on his mouth as well, although a little dry. His canines were faintly shown. "By the way, what are feline? Cathar, Farghul... No your not tall enough for either." Then he noticed the pet. He sneered, "perhaps something out of this universe, hmm?" Then he turned to the feline, "I believe you mentioned birds, yes there are many. Some bigger than even the trees, quite a lot of meat they have."
He waited on the feline's next words to garner her speech.

Kit was interested in everything, but the mention of needing a weapon confused her a bit. The thought had never really occurred to her, but when Thanatos came in speaking of birds larger than trees, it made more sense, "OOH the eye is bigger than the stomach," she said excitedly in response, making note of the dead animal he carried with him, "What is that?" she pointed to it, "You have blood on your face..." she mentioned, almost wanting to help him clean it up...it looked tasty! With his mention of being something out of the universe, she was a bit confused, "Foxy said another galaxy....he never mentioned another universe!" she tilted her head. With his sneer, however, she became a little protective, "I don't mind, though....he saved me! Hunting is fun, but only if I get to be the hunter!" she squealed, snatching Tetro and cuddling him before snatching up another sandwich. She was too contented at the moment to break it with suspicions of the newer acquaintance.

Ah, there were some similarities to this feline and Cathar; if only in a psychological profile. He said, "I would be careful, when our eyes feast, our stomachs suffer."
When the feline creature took notice of the dead kath hound and blood. He used his finger to scratch a swab of it off his face. "So I have, it will come off on its own." As he said that Parthenon (his robes) rose a piece of cloth to his face and wiped it all off. The robes assimilating the nutrients and making it drip to the floor at his feet. "As I said... on its own. And this?" Indicating to the Kath hound. "This is lunch."
When she started speaking about coming from a galaxy, he paused. He was actually joking about her coming from another universe. He looked toward the...'Foxy' and said, "You remade the device? Already starting to abduct others I see. I would be careful, that could become addictive." Thanatos was already figuring the implications of its use. The force affects others differently and that would go doubly so from his experiments. He was brainstorming more ideas until the feline spoke again. "Saved you did he? I find that amusing, since not even he has seen the dangers of this Universe. You might just find that this dimension is more or just as dangerous as the one you were last in."
Her last words though gave compelled him to say his own branch of wisdom. He bent down and peered into her face to say: "Keep the mentality of the hunter small one, it will be your greatest strength to survive. Take it from one who knows."
He then used the force to will a cutting utensil from the counter and began to cut the entrails of the adult Kath hound to which Rage and Violence exposed themselves and began to feed...

Tetroneaque didn't even really seem to mind Thanatos' sudden appearance today, having grown accustomed to the man's personality a bit... or at least building up a tolerance to it. However the Kit'aru still wasn't used to Thanatos coming in with a fresh carcass to clean and feed to his little pets. This was the first time Tetro had seen the two pets, though he'd always smelled them whenever Thanatos was near.
"Well at least it seems no one will be going hungry today." Tetroneaque commented as he watched the two... things feed. "Kit, this is Thanatos. Thanatos this is Kit." He added, at least being polite enough to introduce the two to one another properly.
"As for my device... it still needs some more fine tuning." Tetroneaque admitted knowing that it would be impossible to conceal the existence of it from anyone for long.

"Ooh, lunch...is it good lunch? Looks canine....I never thought to taste canine..." Kit didn't bother commenting on the cloak cleaning Thanatos's face. For some reason, it just seemed to fit with all the other strange things that happen around here. Upon his advice to keep "hunter mentality," she snickered, "Mentality, huh? Where I come from it's called 'instinct,' " sporting a devilish grin at the thought, her tail flicking purposefully behind her as she seemed to space out to her own world, lost in thought. The humgato was snapped out of this at the sight of Thanatos cutting pieces of the meat to feed his strange looking creatures. It certainly looked appetizing. She hadn't even noticed the cutting utensil floating, too concentrated on the meat. As Tetro introduced Thanatos, she nodded in acknowledgement, but continued to be mesmerized at the sight.

The feline had some pride. At least only through speaking as far as he could tell. He replied, "Instinct is not part of being a hunter, its part of being the hunted. Instinct will only give you so much. Take care, for even hunters account for 'instinct' and will use it against you.
He cut a piece off of the Kath hound. He casually tossed the raw piece of meat towards the feline, to see her reaction. He said, "You seem to be engrossed by my kill. If you want you may join me in my next hunt this evening." Rage and Violence hissed at Thanatos' action when he tossed the meat towards Kit. They did not like to share with others, which was perfectly understandable given that they were drexl larvae. Their appetite seemed to grow by the day. It was hard for Thanatos to figure whether or not it was simple Drexl growth or because of his dark side ritual.
He then turned to the pet and asked, "You want some?" Thanatos always shared his kills with the others who happened to dine with him. First Janlu, Zeraxul (although that was hardly dinner), and now Kit if she caught the meat. Then something occurred to Thanatos, "Foxy, if you require help with your machine, you need only ask. I have some 'understanding' when it comes to breaching other worlds." He needed some understanding of the device, the temptation of its use was too much. Also its use piqued his caution. If it could breach between dimensions, there would be consequences. One of the only reasons why he was still alive was because their were some things he did not dare to mess with. Seeing Tetro speak of his machine only heightened Thanatos' sense of danger. He was blundering like a beast making random effects. It was only through sheer luck that they have not become negative. This machine sounds like it has the capability to not only endanger himself, but others around him. He needed to understand this device more to ensure his own peace of mind if anything. He did not stay alive this long without stopping problems before they became unruly...

Kit wasn't quite sure what Thanatos meant, but it sounded a little iffy to her. She was a born predator, but she had fun with it. As he mentioned joining him on his next hunt, she became curious, wanting to know what game existed in this world. If birds existed larger than trees, what more sport could she find? The feline couldn't pass up the meat he tossed at her, though, catching it and gnawing at it almost immediately as if it needed to be killed more than it already was. "Mm, canine meat is not bad," she commented through her chewing, "What else is there for hunting?" she asked curiously.

Tetroneaque let out a little annoyed grunt at Thanatos' offer to help with the portal generator. "Thanks but no thanks. My device runs on different technology than what you're used to using. I won't be turning it on again till I'm one-hundred percent sure that it will open a portal where I wish it opened. Also, I'm afraid I'll pass on the fresh meat this time." Tetroneaque didn't really want to say it aloud, but he found the idea of eating something that even vaguely resembled his own kind more than a bit repulsive.
What caught his attention was the fact that Kit seemed to be considering going on a hunt with Thanatos already! "Well if you're going hunting you'll need some supplies Kit. The creatures around the Temple can be quite dangerous." Another thought came to Tetro then and he spoke once more. "Perhaps I should join in on the next hunt if Kit goes along?" Tetroneaque didn't precisely wish to go hunting but he figured it would be a useful skill to learn if he found himself stranded somewhere... plus he kind of wanted to be able to share an interest with Kit despite having just met her.

Thanatos was pleased that she automatically began eating the raw meat as soon as she caught it. Her bestial presence was not suppressed, more like embraced. However this was the hunter talking within his mind. He said, "There are many different manner of beasts on this planet, most designed to be alpha predators. Take this Kath Hound for instance, they are part of a very extensive pack. Notice the meat is tough yet full of protein, which means that it feasts well with its pack mates. This one by the taste of it, was at least nearing its second decade. It's full of nutrients, even the blood is enriched. It has eaten well. If you go to places such as Dantooine or other planets of the like, their would be another story. You would be seeing ribs along the stomach. I saw this one's pack leader once. A magnificent creature...and cunning. The first day that I laid claim to my hunting grounds, most of his pride had fled. Usually they do not automatically just flee, they fight for their land to the last. However, there is a reason why they are in packs. They need to be in order to fight the more dangerous creatures like Rancors and Drexl and maybe even a Zakkeg I wager. Though I think that you mentioned birds, I believe I remember seeing a Reptavian or two in the distance. Though I have not seen them up close...
Then he turned to Tetro saying, "I would not help with the machinery, but there 'other things' I could do to help. Like make your testing more...controlled." He shifted his eyes towards Kit to emphasize his point.
"By all means prepare whatever you need, I have all that I require. As I said, I go hunt again this evening." He began to cut the beast into even chunks of meat on the counter. Putting the fur and other things like bones and paws into a pile on a sack. He would use the these materials later in his own experiments. Rage and Violence in their black scaly skin and red eyes had started finishing the entrails of Kath Hound. Things that Thanatos could not use.

Kit didn't know what Thanatos was saying, his mention of all these different creatures, but she was fascinated with the thought of exploration. A little danger only made it more sporty, as long as it remains in control and the hunter does not become the hunted. Either way, Kit preferred hunting herbivores. They just seemed more fun to play with and easily frightened. It's not a fight, but a chase that she enjoyed. She was interested with the idea of using weaponry to assist, but she had no idea of what kinds existed here or how to use them. She sat in silence unsure of what to do with so much freedom now that she had it.

"If I need your help I'll be sure to contact you Thanatos." Tetroneaque said hoping that would the end of the discussion about his machine for the time being. He really hadn't wanted to even reveal the existence of such a device to the man, but it seemed the cat was out of the bag. No use worrying about that now since there was nothing to be done about it, instead the Kit'aru turned his attention toward Kit who seemed a little confused about things still.
"Is anything wrong Kit? You've gone awfully quiet." Tetroneaque said in a friendly manner. He knew it was a lot to take in being brought to a new galaxy, he had first hand experience with that. At least she already knew the language, which still struck him as odd. She didn't seem to have any Force sensitivity though.
