Dib is the most intelligent skoolkid in the entire series. (I would say person, but Membrane gets a wisdom bonus because he's older.) Who of us could imagine Dib at the head of an elite team of brainiacs cast off because of their ability to see outside the box, taking on and taking down all alien comers? If there was such a thing as the X-COM Project, I'd make Dib my first choice for kicking some Cydonian a**!
Jhonen said that America hates Dib, but does he really see what a following the paranormal investigator and full time Savior of Mankind has truly amassed? The Dib fangirls (and even some fanboys, I'm sure) rank as greatly as the GIR fans, plus they're much more vicious and comprehensible in their speech. Thumbs up and a good plasma rifle to the best paranormal enthusiast pop culture has yet to see!
