So one day, there was a short, blonde alchemist named Edward who totally fell in love with his best friend and mechanic, Winry. Of course, Winry didn't know this. Neither did Ed. Ed was in DENIAL, WHUT. Oh, he might've known in the back of his teensy tiny little beaned mind, but he would totally not admit it, not even to himself. And so, their relationship went nowhere.

WINRY TOTALLY FELL IN LOVE WITH EDO. OMGYAY. AND SHE ADMITTED IT TO HERSELF. OMGYAY.
And so, she prepared for the next time Edward came for an automail adjustment or whatsit.
The moment he came, she went into their usual routine.
"OMGHIED! =D"
"HI WINRY! ^////^"
Edward was totally blushing. Of course, in his mind, he wasn't. Winry totally noticed, and so did Edward older younger brother Alphonse, who just nodded, because he couldn't smile. D:
AND THEN
EDWARD SHOWED HIS AUTOMAIL
AND WINRY TOTALLY WENT BESERK!
And her wrench met his head once more.
So, when Edward woke up, Winry cheered.
"YAY! ^^ HE'S UP!"
"No thanks to you."
"Awwww ... But I love you!"
AND EVERYTHING FELL SILENT.

"What did you just say?" Winry panicked. She panicked. She panicked.
"Aww, hell. Edward, everyone who reads the manga knows that we're going to get together. Let's just make it happen sooner."
Edward brightened up.
"YOU MEAN IT?"
"O'course! <3"
"ALL RIGHT! To the bedroom!"
AND THEY LIVED HAPPILY EVER AFTER
