In a galaxy faraway, there lies space that has be explored by many in times of peace, war, and destruction. It was almost a 1000 years after Luke Skywalker's decedent Cage Skywalker passed away and the 2nd Sith Empire had fallen in the galaxy. And now the Third Galactic Republic as been formed to establish that peace will return to the galaxy, that no child on any planet would be forced to grow upon in an environment that is made of hate, negativity, and ignorance. Under this Republic the people have once again gained a voice, a reason, a hope that the galaxy will never again see the Sith, the Empire, or war. But there will always be those that seek to destroy that peace.
But to counter this, to assist the Republic are the newly reformed Jedi. Lead by the wise Grandmaster Nimbus. Her will and voice was heard by many force-sensitive to gather and reform the fallen temple. Spending one hundred plus years of her life as the Grandmaster of the jedi temple, she has moved many lives and contributed unheeded teachings to the Jedi Temple. Many jedi from the temple act as generals to chief diplomats to end conflicts that may lead the republic or even a planet into chaos. They are the once that teach of peace, calmness, and tolerance within the Republic. They are the heros just under the Republic Senate.
But as the many years go on as both the Republic and Jedi grow in power. A threat within the force has been sensed. A grand power that was not felt for over a thousand years. The dark side of the force has returned from the darkest part of the galaxy. The Sith have returned after a thousand plus years of retreating to the darkest and furthest end f the galaxy they have returned. Their numbers growing by the day. Many jedi fear the repeat of history or pain is near. They threaten to cause the Second Clone Wars along with other conflicts, they threaten to rebuild the Empire, they threaten to suppress the weak, they threaten to make people tremble under their feet. They make their presence known and their wills clear. It is most-likely that battle is near.
Due to this many planets see their will swaying between sides and the jedi are preparing to take up arms once again. The Senate is in a state of both accusations, confusion, and troubles. For the stability of the galaxy is now at risk. You must decided a side or the force and within the galaxy, but you must choose wisely, not many get a second chance or live to get that chance. May the force be with you...always...
Great except for the time...It should be a max of 100yrs after Cade just because it makes the tech too complicated. At 100 yrs however we can claim there hasn't been much change in starship or weapon tech as well as politics. It just makes the guild more manageable. The time is still under debate, we don't want that little nor do we want too much that is why it is all a discussion. 100 years we found was too little.

I mean 100 is stretching the tech really far, I mean just look how fast WE make new things. And what about making it after Cade's death that would be (technically) 180-200 yrs. My main consern is he workload. Either we have to find a way that Ames sense how/why we are still usin this old tech or we have to make limits/specifications for new tech :/

Well we are not trying to stay too close to the original story line more long the line of making my own. really on a basic of logic yes I understand your concern. But I really want to get away from the whole skywalker thing and I mean as far as I can. Already had 3 people have a b***h fit about why the Skywalker blood line would be considered a legend and not allowed in the guild. Because they are all dead and died out ( = m = ) On a technology basic, hell we didn't go in reality did not go far from the wheel after so long, really all they would sure invent new things and changes alot and really expand wise. but even in the books Luck Skywalker mentioned that tech seemingly outdated in their times still had their major uses. And i mean really old. BUT, again I get what you are saying. Me just want the guild story to have relationship to the main Starwars plot, but also have it's sense of independence if you get me.

And I do t think Luke meant 1000 year old tech like the Freighter Revan used haha
Or say in Cade's later years he thought that the true. Cause of the past century of almost non-stop conflict was because of the Skywalkers and made sure that no other Skywalkers walked the Sky wink

Keep the technology to a manageable level, planets, governments, anything you can think of! if that isnt a desired course of action, then we can use a story about a similar "dark ages" (either caused by war, or a similar yuuzhan-vong invade attack....thing....ish) that came about that limited the growth/production of technology. Or if that is too weird, then we can use a similar style that recent books are using...and explain everything via zombies.....(seriously...zombies in star wars???)

I was thinking about the guild arc and stuff, and how to get things rolling. I was thinking (best ideas come in the shower...) on what mediums we can use. Seeing as we are still developing new weapon and combat styles, we can use a begining story to reveal/utilize these new styles as part of our arc. We continue with the "galactic olympics" concept, but we have precursors and build ups to that climax. Seeing as the Jedi are on Coruscant, a planet that is upper level but still full of corruption, greed, ect we can have an assassination attempt/cult uprising/domestic distress/violant protests against the games. The jedi, will have to keep the peace, do some investigative work, and all the stuff jedi do so well. styles: gun kata echani King of the Beskar fist (adding in later) for the sith, seeing as they are already planning on being shipbound on the flagship, I made a style originated by "vikings of the Stars." They can either be attacked/bordered by them, or better yet run along a ship with a distress call carrying the "grand master of the Jedi order" and needs a tug/aid off to the nearest star system, willing to give a large reward for anyone who helps. Either for greed/lust/whatever the reasons the sith stop by and the vikings pounce, and they have to be sith to escape/survive. Then on the ship, the discover that the olympics are being held....and they feel the need to be sith and play with it. styles: kasai bow and arrw beskar fist anything else? thoughts?

Me and Jelani were actually thinking of trying to do something with our characters. I was thinking of maybe an assassination attempt on my girl for brining actions against the sith. Along with the fact that maybe Naboo is growing spectacle of the fact that Jelani's character parents have been the king and queen of Naboo for over the maximum two term sentence and feel they are being manipulated by the force. This would be similar to the fear the sith have infiltrated the Senate once again. This would be a good way to have non jedi begin to have paranoia about the Jedi maybe. These are just a few ideas.

And because the mercenary you are talking about is a Mando it could cause some people to doubt Madalore's ties to the Republic giving me and the other two mandos something to do either in form of investigation or hunting her down biggrin I'm liking this!!

I don't understand on what you just typed. >~< Something with my character threw me off. @Bionight: Im sorry to confuse you crying i can start from the begining if you would like. We were discussing the start of our guild arc, and one of the ideas was a galactic gathering. Seening as the 2012 olympics are about to start, i sumbited the idea that we start the guild arc with a galactic gathering, basically making it our "Galactic Olympics." Gives people excitement, stuff to do, ect. Then after that, seeing as we have just developed a whole bunch of new combat styles for the neutrals (and force sensitive) people to choose from, so why not incorporate those into our antagonists? We can use story/combat/interaction to reveal/explain/demonstrate the styles use, effectiveness, weaknesses, ect. That was basically what i was getting it, but with a little more revealing towords the specifics. do you guys want me to do a full write up? @EpicHero Kai: Yes yes...i like this idea alot. But someone needs to give you the contract/hit order and money to do so, and i think this generating story would be perfect to start both these ideas. @Sanari: yes...i like this idea too. Right? generally speaking, yes. The jedi would need to keep the peace (cause security is a btich). The sith would join in because they would fee the need to be superior....or are just bored. The bounty hunter people can work around, have fun, join in for all they care. we could set up "Factions" like syndicates, mobs, gangs, other bounty hunters, ect for people to get to interact in. Maybe a few shops for people who have obtained money to by cool stuff/junk. thoughts?
