Heart looked at Shikaru a little startled and frightened. She hated the idea of anyone's death, good or bad. Yet being a thief, she had seen plenty of it. Edward looked at her, "It's alright Heart, we're not on his list."
Heart nodded and then the two sat down to talk with Shikaru some more. "So where are you headed now?" Edward asked, Heart still remaining silent. It seemed as though she wasn't even paying attention anymore, as though she were trying to remember something. The headache came back, but weaker this time. Though she still rested her head in hands.

Shikaru stood up looking towards the orange-ish sky. He looked at the two and the girl seemed to be in pain. He walked over to the two staring down at them. "Are you two okay?"

I move silently through the forest. My cold narrow eyes aimed straight ahead as my body moves quickly. My sword hangs at my back and moves only slightly with my movements.

"I'm fine, Heart's-" Edward stopped when he saw Heart fighting away her painful memories. "Heart? What's wrong?" He asked her worriedly. "No....I'm fine...." Heart finally said shakily, her voice clear and soft. Yet she still sounded as though she were hurting. "Your past?" Edward ventured. Heart tried to shake her head, yet failed.

"heart..." he said so plainly. He kneeled down on front of her staring into her eyes. "Are you okay?"

"I-" Edward stopped her again, "She hit her head a long time ago. Though now that she's older, her memories are trying to come back. It hurts her." Heart fell silent again as she held her head in her hands. "The attacks seem to get worse each time."

I stop quietly and peek lightly through a bush. A group of three were standing there one was injured. I recognized one of the guys, but didn't want to spweak nor contact with them so I move away a bit.

"is it so?" Shikaru stood back up and took a feather floating around. "put it on her...it will releave her of pain for a while." he said giving the feather to the boy. heart...a peculiar name.

Edward took the feather thankfully and placed it gently on her forehead. The pain left her now for a while just as Shikaru said it would. "Thank you," Heart said quietly, though she had sensed his thought briefly. She gave him a confused expression. "Are you alright now?" Edward asked her when she seemed to be alright. She nodded slowly and he helped her to her feet. "So Shikaru, where are you headed next? Maybe we're traveling the same way? Perhaps we could travel together for a little while. You did help Heart."

"you may come...but I am not responsible for your deaths..." Shikaru paused for a moment and looked towards the east. "I travel from town to town offering my help...that is what mercenaries do."

"We'll be alright; and thank you," Edward told him. Heart looked at Shikaru now, "Maybe you can help us as well, with my memories. Please?" Heart was sincere and yet nervous as she spoke. Edward's eyes widened when she asked, it had taken her a long time to ask for his own help.

Shikaru nodded while looking at heart. "I will try..but i have no memories of my own." He remembered just waking up in ruins and cold from the harsh winters.

"You don't have your past either?" Heart asked, "What happened?" Heart remembered only awaking in Edward's room while he stood watch at the door. Making sure the gang didn't find her until he figured out a plan for the girl. SHe ended up staying there for years until her pain grew too terrible to ignore. So she and Edward were searching for her past now.
