Max ran off, and Candy let him go. He was heading toward the caretakers house anyway. candy tilted her head at the 'special' human. Whatever. she said, turning toward Kai. Caretaker Brenna should be with them. She was there when I left. Candy said, tilting her head to the side.

Me? A Caretaker? Candy asked, surprised. She was no more a Caretaker than the new Alpha-to-be was. Nevertheless, Candy dashed back to the Caretaker House. Her control was wearing thin, and arguing was not going to help.

Kai looked at her strange. Then why where you in the caretaker house???, she was quite confused. She shook her head. Either way we don't need a fight in the middle of town square. Human will see you and they will freak out. So either take it some where else or drop it, please., she sighed. Then left for the caretaker house.
