Aaron's rebellious side wasn't showing. Instead, there was his inner child, having a blast. If he had done this with any member of his family around, they'd tell him it was "dangerous". Reaching closer and closer to the rock, he extended his hand out, ready to touch it but had a feeling that Maxine would get there in the nick-of-time before him.

"Oh no you don't!" Max grinned and jumped into his boat, reaching over him trying to knock his arm out of the way so she can touch the rock to win. The boat they were in started rocking a lot from her struggle.

Aaron was surprised. Maxine had jumped into his boat! It was in-fact Aaron who was shaking the boat, trying to make Maxine lose her balance. Aaron moved up by her and reached his hand out, his fingertips inches from the rock.
"Nice try girly! You're not reaching anything while I'm around."

The rocking from the boat, made Maxine indeed lose her balance. She tripped backwards over the ledge of the boat and fell into the water. She laughed a bit and pushed the boat over to capsize it. It was like, "if she couldn't win, no one could win" kind of thing.

Aaron flipped backwards into the water. His clothes now drenched with the salt water, he kicked his way up to the surface and breathed for air.
"Game's not over yet, no one touched the rock yet..."
He teased, inching towards the rock. He kept an eye on Maxine, who he now nicknamed "Girly".
"What's up, Girly? Cat got your tongue or somethin'?"

"The name isn't girly. It's Maxine." She said reaching out for the rock, but wasn't close enough. Both boats returned to their sandy selves and sunk to the bottom of the ocean. She had basically lost this battle.

Aaron knew that the fight to the rock wasn't over. He actually wanted Maxine to win. Pretending that he wasn't in reach of the rock, he glanced at Maxine, who appeared to be getting closer than he was.
"Well, Maxine. Call me Aaron,"
he said, taking a breath for air,
"unless you found a better name to suit me. Besides, I like Girly."

Max had finally reached the rock and touched it with one of her fingers. "Hah! I win!" She grinned towards him. "Race to the shore?" She said ready to swim back.

When Maxine offered a race to the shore, Aaron was gone in a flash. He had taken off under the water to evade chances of Maxine winning this time. He bobbed up to the top of the water, taking in a breath and said,
"Slow poke..!"

With her finger she drew within the water a air bubble. She put the bubble don her head so she wouldn't have to go up for a breath. She stayed in the water swimming towards the shore, riding the waves as she does. To Aaron it was like she had disappeared because she had not come up for a breath.

Nova was sleeping on the beach, his ears and tail exposed, and sleeping like a wolf. He heard the splashing of water out in the ocean, but never bothered looking up, unaware that two people were going to come at him.

Aaron wondered where Maxine had disappeared off to, but had no time to search. He knew that she would get ahead that way, and therefore continued to swim. He knew he had to beat her in order to get even. He bobbed up for air one last time before he could touch the part of elevation that opened up to the shores. Stroking his arms into the water, he had no trouble looking behind him, for he knew he'd reach the shore in no time.

Maxine had swam right under him. She looked up and grinned, grabbing onto his ankle to pull him under. Not in a 'I'm going to drown you way.' but more of a 'pull myself in front of him' way. She tugged on his ankle to bring him down to slow him down.

Aaron looked below him and saw Maxine, trying to pull him down and get ahead of him. There was no way Aaron could let himself lose now, for he craved his time of victory. He smirked, trying not to let the air out of his lungs and flipped around. Now he pushed Maxine down, his hand grasping onto hers. He tried to release his hand, but now made full eye-contact with her.

Maxine looked at his eyes, giving him a devilish grin. They were only 5 meters (15 feet I think) from the shore. She tried pushing away from him so that she could finally start swimming to the shore once again. She was completely unaware that there was a person sleeping on the beach.
