Five squealed, quickly running to the Recreation Room as soon as the door was unlocked.
Once she entered the room, she looked around at the others in there. Eight A and Eight B were talking to Nine, while Ten was off by himself on the treadmill. One was running on the treadmills, competing with Two again. The blonde pouted when she didn't see Four or Three.
Awwh. They're so nice... I guess I'll just go talk to Ten then!
Five shrugged, skipping over to Ten with a cheery smile. "Teeeennnnnn! Hi Ten!" she hopped over, jumping excitedly next to his treadmill as he walked.
"How was your morning? Why're you running? How come One and Two always run an' stuff? What'cha doinggg?" and Five went on and on. It was common for the young girl to ramble endlessly.
After a moment, her attention span shifted once again and she sat down next to the treadmill and looked up at the older guy with a childish pout, "Ten... I'm borrreeeeddddd..."

Three couldn't help but smirk when the wall slid open and a man in a white coat approached her with his tools. She noted the needle, but was focused on the prospect the clippers brought initially. She'd be rid of those intrusive strands again. She offered her arm freely, looking the other way as she did typically when receiving injections; she was actually getting used to these little charms, and that was the source of her amusement. They tried this experiment the first time she'd said she almost remembered her name, and the time after that, and after that still. Whatever they were using did the trick for a little while, but eventually the nightmares would return time and again. It felt like a curse to live that descent again and again in her sleep.
It didn't bother her; she didn't see the harm... not once could she remember anything about herself in the dreams; for all she knew it was simply a surreal dream, with no connection to truth and no meaning to anyone. She'd get a few weeks of good sleep, and when the nightmare finally returned, she'd say so and they'd hit her again with another shot. Whatever stubbornness drove the imagery, it wasn't hurting anything.
When she woke not long after, she shifted in the chair as the pain in her forehead throbbed with every heart beat. She pressed a hand against her forehead, now taking notice that her bangs were considerably shorter. She let her hand run through the shortened strands as she smiled and stood slowly from the chair. She held her head as she opened the door and stepped out into the rec room. As she expected, she couldn't remember anything from the night before.
She squinted with a pained look on her face as she adjusted to the slight change in lighting; this was the worst part about these memory wipes. The headache was insane; inhibitors fighting the natural flow of her brain chemistry. There was a battle raging up there. She looked around at a familiar scene; her peers staying occupied the best way they knew how. Three thought about it for a moment as she moved over towards the tables, eyeing the tops for the table already holding the deck of cards. She didn't like to work out like One, Two, and Ten; while Five always managed to put a smile on Three's face, Three wasn't sure she could handle her friend's exuberance this morning with the headache she had; she wasn't a fan of letting her thoughts and observations fan her doldrums like Seven; and trying to help A keep B and Nine from doing something they'll regret wasn't high on her list of priorities either. All she really wanted at the moment was to sleep the pain off and start the day over, but for the moment, beginning a house of cards while she massaged her forehead alone at the tables was her cure for boredom today.
((OOC: Three's haircut is close to this [x], maybe just a 1/2'' to 1'' longer.))

Nine let out a heavy sigh. There just wasn't enough time to think up a prank and pull it off. The others just kept coming into the room. It didn't help that one of the twins was completely against the idea. If Nine wanted to pull off something then he'd have to convince the 'good' twin that there was nothing to worry about. In reality, he didn't really care about the prank. Sure he had a tendency to joke around; but he wasn't one to pull pranks unless he was the mastermind that no one knew was behind the idea. There was no point in teasing someone if you were going to get in a lot of trouble. The real reason he brought it up was to distract them from whatever it was they were arguing about: his plan worked swimmingly. Hopefully they wouldn't start to bicker about the prank idea.
"Don't worry," he started as he shifted his gaze to the 'good' twin, "we missed our chance." Nine smiled at the boy before he turned his attention to the one that was eager to pull the prank. "If you still want to do something...you can always pull some ones pants down while they are distracted." With that said, he turned his back towards them and started to walk away. Planting a seed is one of the ways to get someone to do something: he was even on his way to distract one of the old teens. He didn't care if the 'evil' twin was about to attempt what was suggested; but it would be entertaining. Of course he wouldn't want to get his own pants pulled down so he would be wary of such activity even if it didn't seem like it.
Nine slipped his hands in his pockets as he surveyed the room. Ten was on the treadmill and Five decided to go pester him. A small smile sat on his face as he watched the two for a bit. That girl had way too much energy. Why in the world did she decide to talk to one of the guys that were busy running? That's when he noticed Three walk in. Ah, the other girls weren't out of their rooms when Five came out. There's new haircut was cute and spunky. He'd probably comment on it later since it looked like she might have a headache. Plus, he had something else to do at the moment.
The preteen made his way over to the guy that was sat against the wall. Nine stopped and looked down at the older boy before he spoke. "I challenge you. Pick your poison." The young boy smiled while he waited for a response. He knew Seven liked to be challenged. It's hard not to figure out certain things about the people you see every day; but he never assumed that he actually knew them all. After all, there were things about him that they didn't know about yet. That's only because there wasn't a chance to show them. It's not like he tried to reveal or hide such things. Surely the others were similar in that respect. If not, then oh well.
Nine waited for the other to pick something. It was rude to demand Seven like that; but all he cared about was finding out what kind of challenge it would be. He'd be disappointed if the older boy refused.

"NICE cut, Three,” Seven called to the girl a little ways across the room. But before she could respond, Seven was abruptly looking up at Nine, who had just challenged him, as if to a duel or something, amusingly enough. Seven gestured for the younger boy to sit next to him against the wall and then thought for a moment. Looking up at the blank ceiling, he came to a quick, but slightly unoriginal conclusion. “Riddles. Whoever gets stumped first loses. You first since you challenged me.” He grinned at the boy, genuinely pleased with the way the morning was starting out. Nine may not have been very secretive in his pursuits, but he had always been fascinating enough to Seven. Seven knew him for his genuine kindness if nothing else.

One was being a smart a**, as usual. Ten looked at him, but chose not to comment. He wasn't exactly the social type, after all. Ten was spared any comment from the other boy when Five popped up next to him. She was her usual hyper-active self. Too spunky. Much too spunky. And easily bored, as the little girl pointed out. Ten muttered darkly to himself, his words indistinguishable. "Go bother the Eights," he mumbled to the girl. He just wanted to be left alone. Why could this girl not understand that? At that point Three came out, complete with a haircut, though Ten didn't notice it until Seven called out his compliments to her. Four and Six still had yet to appear, which mean they had probably overslept, or their visit in the Examination Room was longer than usual. Five was still at his side, but he tried to ignore her and set the pace on the treadmill at a faster speed. Throughout the entire morning, his face hadn't changed from the bland expression that let no emotions escape.

Five whined as Ten attempted to shoo her away. "But all the Eights do is argue, and that's not any fun.." she paused to look up at him as he began to speed up on his running, ignoring her. Then again, you're not much fun either.. she thought with a pout as Three stepped out from her Examination Room. With a pout, she hopped up to her feet and stuck her tongue out at Ten.
"Finnee! I'll just go talk to Three since you wanna be a boring mean-face-guy." she said with an added 'hmph' before skipping over to Three. Before she could open her mouth to ramble on about how nice Three's new haircut was, she overheard Seven say something about riddles.
"Riddles?? Oh! Oh, can I play?" she squealed, running over to Nine and Seven excitedly before stopping short, "Wait, are you doing that challenge-y thing again...? Ooh, then can I watch?" she asked again, her tone going up once more. "I loovvee riddles. Can I?"

Nine removed his hands from his pocket and sat down beside the older boy: he ended up sitting indian style. The preteen stared at the guy next to him when he mentioned riddles. A slow smile crept onto his lips before he started to laugh. It didn't last long, but his soft response was drowned out by Five, "riddles huh?"
Blue orbs watched Five while she talked. He didn't mind having an audience, but this girl was a bit unpredictable. She could mess up the whole thing. It just seemed unlikely that someone like her would be able to keep the answers to herself. Nine gave her a smile before he responded to her request. "Sure...if you can answer this one riddle." He paused to hear her answer before he gave her a riddle meant specifically for her. "What is half of four with four also being half of it?"
Then he turned to Seven. He figured it would be okay to give them both a riddle at the same time. There was no need to wait for her to think about it. If she got it, then she stayed for the rest of the riddle war. If not, she was banished from even listening. "Let's start off with..." he stopped to think for a moment before he continued, "what is once in a minute, twice in a moment, and never in a thousand years?" After he gave his riddles, he leaned back against the wall and waited. He didn't know how long it would take for either of them to answer their particular riddle; but he was fairly certain that Seven wouldn't lose before the battle truly begun.

SEVEN'S smile was a little patronizing as Five bounded over to join their game. He’d prefer if she would just sit silently and watch, but he knew that was never a possibility with her. He was mostly neutral towards her. She was too spazzy and transparent to really interest him, but she never seemed to have any hidden agenda that could possibly harm him, so he generally ignored her; nodding and smiling when needed. In this situation, he rather appreciated Nine’s concealed ultimatum to the girl; he wouldn’t have to say much to her at all.
Turning to the boy as he was given his riddle, Seven only had to think for a second before he had the answer. Smiling, he responded, “It’s the letter ‘m’ of course.” With a slight smile still on his face, he waited for Five’s response to her own riddle before challenging Nine with his.
