jellysundae simlizzy Well, it is a good that I have two weeks as it turns out so far I really stink at starting the food diary. The main reason I find it hard to start, is I am being more concious of what I am eating and I am constantly thinking: "Oh wow, I do not want to write THAT down!" rolleyes is that such a bad thing? it's certainly making you face what you're eating, which is necessary. i kept a food diary for a few months, that's how i realised that i was suseptible to pigging out on pork pies and cheese when i'm pre-menstrual!No, it's not a bad thing at all. I thought this too before I understood why I needed to do it for weight watchers. You need to write down everything you put in your mouth so you can see what you have eaten during the day and learn ways to change your eating habits to better your lifestyle.

i imagine it would be particularly beneficial to someone who's at home during the day too, as it will highlight when your sugar levels dip and you reach for the snacks, so you now which meals you need to make more balanced and sustaining 3nodding

WickedPomegranate L-I-Z-Z-Y you will do it by and by GOOOOO Lizzy! blaugh (and since I have seen you thin, I have real belief that you will do it) What can I say? Turns out between the HD crash and pure laziness on my part I totally stink at keeping a food journal faithfully and, therefore, I broke down and ordered NutriSystem this morning. YAY me rolleyes This has not been the greatest week. Very important day for me every year on the third of March and this year (my 15th anniversary of clean and sobriety) rated the biggest "0" ever on the Lizzy scale. With that in mind, I guess I really needed the NutriSystem thing tonight to give me some kind of perspective... well, AND I am having chest pains and I do not know if they are indigestion or stress or my fat fanny is heading for a heart attack, so off to Nutisystems I went... Hopefully some considerable weight loss will be the big fix (still cannot believe that) this 80+ pounds was not even on me a year ago!!! I mean WTH? crying

don't let life get you down Lizzy, we're all here for you. Feeling happier about yourself or just life in general can get you in the right frame of mind for the life changes you need to make, try and be positive, i think it's really all you need to get you onto the right track. I really hope nutrisystems helps you get a kick start with the wieght loss, for once it starts to come off your confidence in yourself will soar and you'll find things so much easier 3nodding

As of this morning, NutriSystem STILL has not arrived. In the mean while I had a nightmare the other night that in two weeks I gained 21 pounds! Now, granted, weight has been a very hard subject for me the past year especially, but even someone as hopeless as I have been feeling probably could not manage 21 pounds that fast rolleyes

My Nutrisystem box was dropped off at the door by FedEx at 8:15 am. At the top of the box isa big pouch of stuff to go over before I start. Since I already had eaten today and hubby is off the next two days, it looks like I will start Sunday morning. I often feel better when I plan ahead. I planned ahead to quit smoking and have stuck to it for nearly 10 months now! Of course it likely contributd to my need for NutriSystem rolleyes

Lizzy, your ducky farmer flower spade avi looks wonderful!!! Do you like gardening in real life? If so, planting season is just ahead, and that would get you out of the house a little, with fresh air, growing plants, and feeling that nice energy and frame of mind that could jumpstart your motivation and activity! smile

3nodding that's very true fawN, i wish i had a garden, i get upset about it if i dwell on it too much, i'd love to be able to grow my own flowers and veggies, and being outside in the fresh air really makes you feel great. Plus there's the sense of accomplishment from seeing things that you've planted flourishing. I'm going to shut up now before i make myself miserable neutral

I don't really like even thinking about trying here in Nevada though. It is so terribly hot in the summer, and freezes at least two or three times during the winter, so if it were not for the fact I have always moved into established homes I would probably have a rock garden yard. Oh, and I almost forgot... NutriSystems did get here... I started the plan on Saturday Today I am sick to my stomach (probably sinuses draining) The good news is that means I have had no appetite this evening wink

Been over a week with the NutriSystems now. I was trying to be good before hand, had started watching what I was eating and portions while I waited for the NutriSystems and apparently it paid off since as of this morning it seems I have lost 15 ponds since my doctor's visit in February. Of course I could not and would not expect results like that every month, but it sure is nice for this first one.
