Trey the Pirate 8| Eeeh, her work is okay. ((Sorry for the edit, lol. Meant to quote. Anyway, that's all we got. Her story is good, at least. She reminds me of how I RP Alois, too. A crazy, angsty psychopath. <3 I just hope she inspires others to make Justine Doujin. ))

To each their own. The boys in her comic are a little pretty for my personal taste. Lul

Though maybe the psychopath is a side I haven't seen yet? He doesn't strike me as the type to be completely without empathy, though.

I must agree that Alois seems more a man of poor judgement than an anxious psychopath.
To bring that further, I feel he is a man of desperation. He is so desperately in love with Justine that he fails to see her darker qualities --- a true example of how love can render people blind.
If you wish to look much further into the original works, blindness itself is a theme that occurs over and over again. And thus I stand by my theory that Alois is a man of desperation. A hopeless and blind romantic.
Or something like that. <3

I hadn't really thought about it, but blindness does seem to be a recurring thing. Or, if you want to broaden it, the unknown in general. (light = knowledge / darkness = ignorance/unknown symbolism) Seems to be in the original Amnesia a lot, too. Currently thinking of the "why is it so dark?" scene - both literal darkness and Alex generally not wanting to let Daniel know what's going on. And then there's this monster that seems to be something humans can't really understand, and they call it the Shadow. Maybe you're not supposed to think that hard about it, but turning entertainment into English class is fun sometimes XD Also, the comic updated.

... The term 'have my babies' comes to mind.
I do quite like that analysis -- the darkness being in a sense of ignorance. And really that could be taken even deeper as not only is it an ignorance imposed on him (Alexander), but an ignorance he imposes upon himself (the amnesia).
... Again, as you say, we could be looking too deep into the story line.
Sometimes the curtains do not represent sadness. Sometimes they are just blue. <3
To make this more relevant to the topic at hand. It makes me wonder just how much of the artist's story is a case of 'the curtain is just blue.' We may never know. |D

This makes me think of how one of my teachers said "just because the author didn't put the symbolism there, doesn't mean it's not there". From talking to the artist, though, sounds like sometimes the curtain is just blue, but some things were there on purpose.
I did think of bringing the Amnesia stuff into that thing about ignorance symbolism, but my post was getting too long |'D If the game does have a theme, that's probably not the main one, but it still seems like using darkness to represent something could have worked really well if they'd wanted it to.

D:
The pure insanity in his eyes. The simple positioning of the drawings, subtly speaking of what is taking place without knocking the audience over the head with it. This page is just.... brilliance. <333
