I play in so many bands my head feels like it's going to explode. I play just about everything and it all started with piano about 10 years ago, guitar got added about 8 ago, bass about 7 ago, and yeah, from there stuff just kinda happened, met people, learned stuff, and I've been in a band playing just about every style and playing just about everything. Quite a few of them being jazz, because I'm a big fan. My favorites are always the great guitar and saxophone players, and I'm not into free jazz so much or smooth jazz. That's about all you need to know. I'm 16 and I live in Iowa....and the name is Robert Munson Benesh.
Yeah, that's it, thanks.

How's it goin'? My name's Sam. I'm sixteen years-old, and play an electric bass down in Arkansas in the South of the United States. I've been playing for a little over a year, and I would've have gotten anywhere if it wasn't for my teacher, Jay. 3nodding Jay's the man that got me into jazz. He showed me guys like Mingus and Jaco Pastorius (my idol now), so I have him to thank, now I love it. <3 I'll try not be too much of a pain to the group. xp

Hi, you can call me Kat. I'm not going to tell you my age, I'm too old! crying Anyway. I play the trumpet, mostly orchestra these days, but I played in my elementary jazz band and my high school jazz band. I can't improv worth a damn. I listen to the greats, Armstorong, Fitzgerald, Crosby, Sinatra. Can't say that I know much, but that's why I'm here, to learn about jazz from those who love it.

Hullo people, I'm Ascend (though you can call me Ami if you want). I happened to be browsing the Classical Music forum and clicked on someone's siggie; when I started reading the stickies I realized you guys have some sorta recruitment thingy going on, so I'm sorry I don't remember who's signature it was. XD

Er, anyway, I play the trombone in my school's jazz ensamble as well as in my city's youth orchestra. I've been kinda disappointed with the ensamble's music, though - the only decent piece we've gotten in a while is Blue Trane. domokun Gah. Oh well. Let's see... I also play piano, which I started when I was four. Still not very good, though, which is really pathetic. -__-;

...And jazz is awesome. X3 I completely fell in love with Miles Davis' music when one of my friends got me a CD of his.

That's it, methinks. n__n

I'm from Mukilteo, Washington, which is not far north of Seattle. I've been in Jazz Choir since 7th grade and love Vocal Jazz. I'm in 9th Grade now, and go to Mariner High School (for those in the area).
I aim at going to the Soundsation Jazz Camp this year.
