Does anyone know a good protection spell?

I'm not allowed to do anything remotly magickal due to my parents but I once tried a little traffic lights spell when I was driving home from hockey with a freind.

"By the count of one, the spell's begun
By the count of two, all lights in tune
By the count of three, all lights stay grren for mee
*tap car three times*
One two three, so mote it be"

Up to the point I did this spell we'd gotten 3 out of four red lights, the rest of the way home (about 10 more sets) It was either green, or turned green just before we got there. I've only ever tried it once though so it could have been a conincidence.
